At Table, Donkey & Stick, savor comforting Alpine-inspired dishes and creative charcuterie in a cozy, rustic haven perfect for gathering with friends.
"Table, Donkey, and Stick brings the flavors of the Alps to Logan Square, offering diners the chance to pretend they’re warming up after a day on the slopes rather than just bracing the Chicago winter. Visit November 18 or December 16 for a fire pit party series featuring hot cocktails and dishes created in collaboration with guest chefs including Ryan Brosseau (Dear Margret). Book a spot through Resy." - Samantha Nelson
"This newish neighborhood restaurant from Matt Sussman (Table, Donkey, and Stick) features a very strong contender for the best fries in all of Chicago — perfectly crispy on the outside with impossibly creamy interiors. A tweak on the popular frites at shuttered all-day spot Cafe Marie-Jeanne, Attagirl’s version is already a top menu performer, served alongside seared foie gras, smoked duck, mussels, and more." - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman
"Atta Girl is from the team behind Cafe Marie-Jeanne, a now-closed all-day cafe whose duck frites inspired a rabid fanbase, us included. Thankfully, you can still join the Cult of Fowl at the new Logan Square bar and bistro. Their $65 half duck comes with a massive plate of smoked meat lying on a bed of fries with a pillow of duck pâté. It's a little sweet thanks to a tableside gastrique pouring situation, but the crackly duck skin never sogs. If that's somehow not enough poultry for you, you can always get the seared foie gras add-on." - john ringor, veda kilaru
"This Alpine-inspired restaurant has an iron grip on its Bib Gourmand ranking, and for good reason — the food and wine list are fun and unusual, even in Chicago’s crowded industry, and its staff maintains a neighborhood feel that keeps locals coming back. The meats and cheeses are impressive, and the burger is a can’t-miss." - Naomi Waxman, aimee.levitt
"When American comfort food just won’t suffice, look to Table, Donkey and Stick for a helping of cozy Alpine fare. The rustic inn-inspired setting reflects its reputation as a gathering place where friends meet at the inviting bar or settle in at communal tables for whimsical, creative compositions. To start things off, peruse the extensive charcuterie selection before tucking into boldly flavored and creatively plated dishes. Layered like a tower, the grilled lamb shoulder over a bed of creamy lentils surprises with every bite. Choucroute garni's rich beefy flavor is cut by the creaminess of the sauerkraut purée. Out-of-the box ideas keep coming through to dessert, where a scoop of pretzel ice cream atop a jalapeño caramel is equal parts spicy and sweet." - Michelin Inspector
