Best Western Sur

We had a great time at this hotel - stayed one night on a tour. Our room was clean and quiet, there’s a lovely large swimming pool and the food was outstanding. All the staff were great, well-trained and helpful, and we got chatting to a charming gentleman in the lift, turns out he is the general manager. Good service starts at the top.

Simply the worst service that I have encountered in all of my travel. For simple things like towel, water etc - a minimum of 4-5 calls had to be made. On making a complaint at the reception, there was not even an acknowledgment from the staff. Would never recommend anybody to stay in the hotel.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Service was excellent. Especially the F &B staff and the F&B Manager Mr Ghazi Samim. He was warm and knowledgeable. At the Front Office, Ms Shomailla was welcoming and efficient. At the bell desk, Mr Moin was attentive and helpful. We would have just 2 suggestions. 1) there are bright and colourful led light decorations which blink and move. They do not go with the overall decent atmosphere of the hotel. Please consider only one colour light that stays on but not running like a carnival! 2) please consider replacing the bathroom tubs with walk in showers. Like us, many of your guests are older. For them getting in and out of tubs is risky. Do please try! Thanks Best Western Sur.

We came around uae national holidays and one Pakistani receptionist at night gave us such a great service 🙌 she booked meals for us from nearby restaurant as we reached late , made us comfortable in our rooms even before payment since we had infant i forgot her name even to thank her but her kindness made me feel so good 👍 However given 1 star as hotel was very bad unfortunately some items in breakfast buffet had insects on them even 1 item was smelling bad because it wasn't fresh , milk was so bad agrhhhh very bad breakfast and hotel.

Absolutely not bad, but not particularly good either. Nice people, however not the magic touch of friendliness I was getting used to in Oman. Breakfast was OK, not very extensive and consists largely of instant food. Finally a lack of water pressure made getting wet in the shower quite a challenge.

Stayed here for NY’s eve. There was a gala dinner organised to celebrate NY. The noise of the music however was so loud that the hotel turned up into a disco instead of a hotel where people stay to sleep. We’ve asked multiple times to lower the volume or to give us another room as we’re sleeping with 2 kids (below 6) near the party that is going on in the hotel that we were not aware off, but no help whatsoever. Never coming here back again. Next to this, the rooms and the food were very disappointing.

Not a top class major hotel but one which we found very comfortable and efficient for a one night stay. Set back from the sea front on a main road with a large atrium centre we had good meals with very attentive staff and a pleasant stay here.

Not a bad place to stay for 1 to 2 nights of your passing through Sur. It's located about 15kms outside the town itself, so you would need to drive out get a taxi if you're coming until the beach or dhow factory area. ||Is just beside the main highway, so very easy access. ||The rooms are good, has good breakfast options and the staff were great throughout. ||It has a pool, bar area that's open until 2am and a restaurant, so you can get lunch or dinner if you don't want to travel.
