Sneaky good food! Absolutely loved everything. Next time we’ll try their rice! Constant customers grabbing food to go. The seating is limited, but you’ll be able to grab a table by the time your meal is ready! 6/5: The chicken charcoal wrap is smoky, juicy, punch of flavour!! Outstanding meat! 6/5: The mixed shawarma might be my favourite shawarma in Toronto!! The meats are flavourful and layered so you’re getting all the different tastes throughout your wrap. 5/5: garlic potatoes melt in your mouth! It’s so comforting! 4/5: fries are classic crunchy seasoned. They act as a palette cleanser between the wraps and garlic potatoes.

Best shawarma of my life, the people working here are also so kind. The portions were massive and a great price. Also got the mixed mezze plate and falafel which was so crispy and not dry at all. Their garlic sauce and tahini sauce is NEXT level and the rice is amazing. Loved every bite and only wish I could come back more. I would go out of my way for Sumaq any day of the week. Personally I liked the chicken shawarma better than the mixed but both were amazing.

I recently visited Sumaq, an Iraqi charcoal grilled shawarma place, and it was an absolute treat! I tried their Mixed Platter, which came with a chicken skewer, lamb skewer, and beef kebab. Everything was perfectly grilled and packed with flavor. The platter was served with freshly made tandoor bread and two kinds of fragrant rice that complemented the meats beautifully. I also tried their Chicken Plate, which had delicious chicken shawarma, a refreshing salad, and a tangy potato pickle. The garlic sauce and tahini that came alongside were the perfect pairings for the meats and added an extra layer of flavour. One unique item I had was the ayran- a refreshing, pasteurized milk drink that perfectly balanced out the richness of the food. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Sumaq for anyone craving flavorful, authentic Iraqi food!

It’s been over 1 year, we ordered twice a time in a week a mix family platter for our workers. By passing time, we see there quality of food is greatly declining. Fact, there chefs mostly don’t pay attention to the food making process. You guys understand that you need to pay attention on big orders not on $5 shawarmas. Keep your level up as it is 2 years ago team.

Pretty tasty selection. I think the dollar added on the receipt for the bread should be mentioned or included. It is very busy here on a Saturday dinner time, but it moves fast. There are four tables, which change frequently. There is a small parking lot that was also busy on a Saturday. Thanks

First time visiting and ordered mixed grill and lamb plates; sides were lemon potatoes and mix of both rices and homemade pita You also get garlic sauce and hummus with a bit of salad. The order took more than 1/2 hour to get, it was lunchtime but that was a long time. The lamb skewer and kebab was very good and tender. Chicken and beef were good as well. Feedback would be improve your turnaround time for food orders but would visit again.

Good food. Bought a beef shawarma sandwich. However I found some chicken pieces not much in my sandwich. Found a small piece of bone. I grabbed a can of pop had little dirt on top. Place is noisy during dinner time. Staff need a better training dealing with customers. Food portion is good. I’ll definitely go back hoping what I mentioned is rectified.

Bought the shawarma platter. Impressed by the quantity and quality. With 4 people we found it difficult to finish off. Definitely worth the money. But can’t say lot about the taste. I find It normal. Not worth the hype. Too busy afternoon, had to stand for a long time. Even for dine in you have to wait. Hopefully they will find some solution for the rush, since they have grown.
