Perched 40 floors high in the EAST Miami hotel, Sugar is a stylish rooftop bar offering exotic cocktails with stunning skyline views in a garden-like oasis.
"Sugar is probably Miami’s fanciest (and one of our tallest) rooftop spots. You’ve got to take a very cool elevator 40 floors up in Brickell’s East Hotel to get here. It’s an upscale place that sometimes has a line to get in. Once you’re in, expect to spend too much money alongside a crowd that looks extremely ready for its close-up. They have food too, but it's pretty unremarkable so stick to drinks. Still, if you want to put on nice clothes and are in a rooftop mood, it’s a solid spot for a fancy night out. "Sugar, a rooftop oasis reminiscent of a Balinese garden, elevates the concept of rooftop bars. Perched on the 40th floor of the EAST Miami hotel, this venue offers sweeping views of Downtown Miami and Brickell, potent lychee martinis, and savory tapas, making an evening at Sugar is an exotic departure from the Miami norm." - Dara Smith, Olee Fowler
"Rooftop cocktails set the bar for good first-date impressions. At Sugar, the cocktails are 40 floors up and surrounded by views of Brickell and Downtown Miami. The Asian-influenced garden bar features cocktails for every palate, from a lychee martini to a smoked apple old-fashioned. And the worst case scenario, if the date is a total dud — spend it talking about the city views." - Amber Love Bond
"Sugar is home to Asian-themed cocktails and a 360-degree view of Miami from 40 floors high. Those looking for something light will enjoy the Lychee Blossom, a take on a martini made with vodka, sake, and lychee. Looking for something with more of a kick? Try the Herbal Dose made with rosemary-infused gin, Green Chartreuse, sweet vermouth, and orange bitters. Arrive to watch the sunset over Miami and stay for the romantic views." - Amber Love Bond
