This Vietnamese restaurant is quite good, but there are a few small issues that need improvement. I think the service quality and restaurant atmosphere are both decent. However, the dishes are too salty and don’t really have the authentic Vietnamese taste—it feels like they have been modified too much. Aside from that, everything else is pretty good! 🇻🇳

The food was absolutely delicious. Delicious! We had the rice paper rolls, vermicelli salad and the curry. This food was special. The flavors in the curry were so rich. The vermicelli salad was fresh and light.
We really appreciated being seated despite not having a booking. We were seated outside on the sidewalk. It was a little noisy and people would be super close to our table as they walked by. I think that anything you get here will be delicious; however, book ahead so that you can have a better table than we had.

Great food, great service, great cool vibe. Generous main serves.
What is unacceptable is the surcharge for tapping a card. The cost of your drinks and food more than covers your costs to run your business so why double dip ? Your mains are all close to $30, your starters are close to $20. Your beers have nothing under $11. Your cocktails are over $20. Still a great night with excellent food but if you want repeat business then stop double dipping.

Loved this place! It’s a small venue so best to reserve ahead of time. The decor and atmosphere was great and sets you up for a fantastic meal. Both the Beef salad and the pork belly had such depth of flavours!

This place is amazing! We chose to order our own plates off the menu rather than going for the preset menu. We liked the idea of trying lots of their entrees and then just sharing a main.
The food came super quick one after the next with barely any waiting time in between. If you're here to be more social I recommend ordering a couple of plates at a time to spread it out. We ordered everything at the start and never had to wait once the food started coming.
For the entrees we had:
Chicken wings - 5/5
Calamari - 5/5 (Spicy!!!)
Scallops - 4.5/5
Prawn Bahn mi - 5/5 (almost like a prawn cocktail in a bun!)
To be honest, for the two of us this was probably enough for dinner. We also went a red chicken curry for mains but felt like the incredibly diverse flavours of the entrees almost overshadowed the mains.
Pricing is reasonable. Cocktails also exceptional. Will definitely be returning to demolish the entree menu once more.

👍
Pork bao was tasty- the bao was light and pork was tender with crunchy skin
Eggplant curry was packed with flavour, a little on the sweeter side
👎
Small ambiance
Pepper beef was average
Fish was saturated in oil

Bustling little eatery with great Vietnamese flavours and vibe. We shared two of the Saigon Social banquet options amongst our group of four and all came away happily fed with leftovers from lunch the next day. Inside dining is a little cramped but it's a good time not a long time type of place.

We came here on a friend's recommendation and were warmly greeted on entry. The $44.50 Saigon Social was too good to pass, so we chose our two Smalls, two Mains and a Side and settled back to wait.
The seafood spring rolls came out super fast. The batter was light and crispy, such a great way to open the meal. The soft shell crab Banh Mi had a piece of lettuce, which oddly turned the roll into watery bites and totally cancelled out the crunchy crab.
The fried fish with beanshoots, carrot and mint salad was accompanied by a wonderful sauce that uplifted the dish. The pork belly and apple slaw was crunchy in all the right places, not too fatty and really tasty.
We had the most delightful, welcoming, customer centric lady, so service from her was impeccable. It was quite a contrast from another man whose appearance was as brief as it was perfunctory. The place would be intimate with bar vibes at night with the right choice of music and cocktails. Bring an empty belly as the serves are generous.

The restaurant looks cute so we were eager to try it out, but it turned out to be not great at all. The restaurant was not full, and yet it took a few minutes to seat us. Then when I asked to sit in a specific spot (my back was injured and I needed something to lean on instead of a backless seat) - the waitress looked really put off. It was super hot that day, so I was willing to let that slide. However when I got the food it was really bland and I couldn't even finish it because it wasn't worth the effort. My friend thought her food was okay but admitted that it wasn't great. I always talk about how good the food is in Australia, and this sadly had the honor of being the worst meal I had this last trip. The experience didn't live up to the cute decor.
