Nestled in Ukrainian Village, Sportsman's Club serves up expertly crafted cocktails and beer in a cozy, vintage-chic space with a charming backyard patio.
"Sportman’s Club is what happens when an old-school dive bar meets new-age bartenders who know how to do cool things. The small and skinny space in Ukranian Village had been a local spot for a long-time, but new ownership revamped the place just enough while preserving the old-school atmosphere. You can grab a Hamm's for $3 or try one of the more interesting cocktails that rotate daily for about $10. Either way, it’s a great lowkey spot to sit and hang, and if it’s nice outside, you’ll definitely want to hit their backyard that feels like hanging at someone’s house." - josh barnett, sam faye, john ringor
"If Sportsman’s Club, which opened in late-2013, feels like it’s been around forever, it’s because in a certain way – it has. The name is a nod to the immigrant establishment that originally inhabited the current address, including the beautiful art deco bar from which the knowledgeably laid-back mixologists will pour you drinks. Order your favorite cocktail or order one of the four on offer from the daily menu. Don’t let the casual attitude, vintage taxidermy or $4 High Lifes on the patio fool you – drinks here are taken seriously. Bar Manager Jacyara de Oliveira was named as a Food & Wine "Best New Mixologist" in 2014." - Potluck Creative
"Sportsman's Club is a template for a new wave of reborn neighborhood dive bars with cocktails and beer selections that rival some of the country's best. Take a shot from the in-house amaro machine while chatting up the chef and industry crowd, play a game of chess on the boards built into the tables, or relax on the expansive backyard patio." - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman
"Looking for a low-key cocktail bar in Ukrainian Village? Direct your crew to Sportman’s Club. You won’t feel like you’re sitting at a bar so much as in your friend’s backyard, which is partially because of the space, and partially because of the friendly crew behind the bar. Make yourself at home." - sam faye
"This reinvented neighborhood tavern from Heisler Hospitality provides a comfortable perch to loose with the pooch and try refreshing cocktails. It also houses a mellow the backyard patio." - Naomi Waxman, Eater Staff
