"Soho is a vibrant area famed for its fantastic selection of theaters, trendy restaurants, and LGBTQ hotspots. It’s in this neighborhood that London’s creativity really shines through with West End productions, local comic book shops, art galleries, and old-school record stores. If you’re feeling peckish while in Soho, head to Señor Ceviche on Carnaby Street for delicious Peruvian cuisine and colorful decor. Clinging onto its “swinging sixties” heyday, Carnaby Street is also a great place to find hip clothing and unique souvenirs. One thing that really gets people talking about Soho is its nightlife with karaoke, jazz clubs, themed cocktail bars, and a notable gay scene. For a memorable night out, put on your finest 1940s attire and head to Cahoots, where vintage cocktails and swing dances are still in trend." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Yelp
Soho is short for south of Houston (pronounced how-ston). It known as the trendy and hip area of New York. On the nice weather weekends, you will see many vendors on the street selling their wares. Anything goes as far as merchandise as long as you have a license. Artwork, jewelry, hats, vinyls, books are a few of the things you will see. This area also some unique storefronts selling one of a kind items. Lots of fun on a Saturday to roam the streets.

Yelp
Soho is a great area for trendy cool and quirky shopping and dining. It's great for a walk and take in the typical but also quirky architecture which I love but it wasn't a stand out location for me.

Yelp
Great place to shop, people-watch, and buy from local artists on the street. It has designers and regular brands.

Robert S.

Yelp
This area was a very famous artsy neighborhood in the '70s and '80s...now it has evolved into one of New York City's prime shopping districts. SoHo (an acronym for South of Houston Street) still features galleries, though these days the work within them tends toward the more high-end commercial--matching the luxury boutiques and independent-designer outposts that characterize the area. Nowadays, trendy boutique hotels, restaurants and high end shops make this a nice area to stroll, to hang out, or to meet friends for a nice meal.

Marianne W.

Yelp
SoHo stands for South of Houston and it's a world-famous shopping paradise. It is also a popular artist district in Lower Manhattan. Houston Street, Lafayette Street and the western part of Broadway, are the surrounding streets. I worked very close to this neighborhood for about five years. You can find a bright part of the city that is known for appearing in many films and commercials. I'm not swearing by the exact location of my photos. I searched my 33k photos by location. These are a few of the favorites showing up in SoHo. When I walk I don't stop to make note of a particular neighborhood name. I might be wandering aimlessly or have a certain place I am headed to visit. You can bet I've spent hours wandering through SoHo. You're close to Washington Square Park which is a historic vicinity of Manhattan. There's Halloween activity today. You can search the neighborhood in Yelp and find lots of the following: Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Rooftop Lounges, Parks, High End Shopping and Historic Landmarks. I love the cobblestone Streets. I had 185 photos in this location. I can't post them all. Make it a point to visit while you're here!

Yelp
I used to be a manwh*re, then for awhile I was so prudish and picky, and since Barbie turned me into a bad girl, I'm So Ho. Soho is a pretty spectacular neighborhood just north of Little Italy and Chinatown and it has a lot going on and is eclectic but it's hard to find a good bathroom here and it's hard to find a little privacy and space in this intense neighborhood. Still a really cool place to hang out and I love it here. The Canal Street Market, and Chinatown in general, are the highlights. Check out Boba Guys inside the market, and check out Alimama's Mochi Donuts in Chinatown.

Jesan A.

Yelp
Soho, what can I say? This place is the new Times Square lol. You'll find a typical shops small businesses and expected atmosphere, but also expect packed streets, tiktokers, and tons of photo shoots.

Abbey R.

Yelp
Woah soho is a GEM. I love coming here on a nice summer day. Many also come for the designer boutiques and art galleries. Soho has just about every different crowds tourist, street vendors and nyc high end shoppers. Soho is the best people sight seeing streets in Manhattan you can just walk around and fall in love with the buildings. It is also well known for its food , drinks and art. Balthazar is one of the many places many people go down here. The great thing about soho is that you also have soho little Italy walking distance and over there you can visit the famous Lombardi's the first pizzeria in the United States wow! Amazing huh. If you're looking for a great place to drink at a fancy lounge pegu club has unique drinks and stylish ambiance. If you're also looking for a place to do a photo shoot with natural lighting the cast iron buildings at soho are a perfect touch for backgrounds. Also if you're in soho already make sure to check out china town for street vendors and a variety of food.

Steve A.

Yelp
SoHo is one of the most fashionable areas of the city. Of course since it's the home of many designers. The highlight for many here is the shopping. It gets tons of tourists looking for clothes. The streets can be crowded but in the stores it's worse. It gets its name from its location. It's the area south of Houston Street. The area is known for being on the cutting edge of cool clothing, and many of it's shit you would never wear. If you're a straight guy, you can still find things to do around here. There are lots of great restaurants. It's also fun just watching these fashionistas run amok. If you're not into shopping, there's also many art galleries. The food is good too.

Robbie C.

Yelp
Love everything about the city. We fall deeper in love with it every time we come here. My dad lived here in the 70s and we've had a connection to it ever since. Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, Chinatown we love you!

Nicki K.

Yelp
Overall, I like Soho. It's worth just walking from Chinatown to Soho. No need to take the subway. I know some people who do it. Soho has a lot of places to window shop and kill some time. Get your AC on and check out stuff. Get your steps on! 190/2019

Yelp
We were only in SoHo for a little bit, but it was enough for me to know I'd like to return to the area. It's such a nice walkable area for shopping and dining and people watching! You've got a mix of super high end stores with 'regular' ones in between and adorable restaurants sprinkled in. Definitely a spot to walk and wander. I wouldn't come through on a weekend if you're looking for a leisurely walk however, just be prepared to wander through cozy side streets and all sorts of shops and make a day of it! Don't forget to find a bakery or restaurant to sit and grab a bit as you and marking your way through - sustenance is always needed!

Yelp
Being a NY tourist I had to make my way to SoHo...just to say " been there, done that!" The name SoHo was coined in 1962 by famed urban planner Chester Rapkin in 1962 short for "South of Houston Street" Contrary to popular belief SoHo is not named after London's "SoHo" a fashionable area on the West End. The area became popular with artists, hippies and outcasts. Starting in the 1950's-when the area which had been neglected for decades; it offered cheap but often unsafe housing. In fact the area was in such bad condition during that time that it was called "Hell's Hundred Acres" I think the appeal of SoHo is the perfect marination of the old and the new. The young and the old. Unlike the rest of Manhattan most of the structures in SoHo are super old. A lot of the building can date back to the 1920's. It really adds to the character of the place to see some new retail place housed in a building that was built when The League of Nation was being formed.... I heard from a local that the preservation of these building came sorta by accident. Apparently during the 1960-1970's when there was a wave in the city to tear down old buildings; a good majority of SoHo wasn't zoned for residential use and a lot of the buildings weren't safe but the residents were afraid that some developer was going to come in tear everything down and re-build the place thus making them super expensive; And the reason many of the people were living in SoHo at that time was because they couldn't afford to live anywhere else in NY. To make a long story short, the residents got together and got the city pass some legislation which allows them to live in these buildings even though they were zoned for commercial use. In 1973 they further cementented their living arrangement by designating SoHo a historical landmark area. When I was visiting the place was super crowded with tourists like myself. In some ways the place reminded me of Europe with all these side-walk cafes and street merchants. Most of the retailers here you can find in your average high end mall like All Saints, J. Crew, H&M, Scoop NYC, Uniqlo, Barbour, Ted Baker and Sur La Table. If you love vintage and thrift stores...there is a famous one here called What Goes Around Comes Around https://www.nycgo.com/shopping/what-goes-around-comes-around Okay they have $15,000 pre-own Birkins but that's not all they have...tons of unique one of a kind items and apparently they're a celeb favorite... Speaking of celeb...when we were here apparently some hip pop star was shopping at one of the glitzy shops like Prada or LV....I didn't pay that much attention but I remember one of the streets was blocked off and they had 4 black escalade with blacked out windows parked in front and there were a general frenzy of people around this one area....Of course you gotta love New Yorkers because they just could care less if you're hip pop or lollipop...the only ones stopping to stare were tourists like me...gotta love it! Here is a fun SoHo fact...for half of hour of parking it's $6.75....Here in Atlanta I complain about $5.00 for a couple of hours! Oh remember when 400 raised their toll fee from $0.50 to $0.75 and people went nuts....haha I bet New Yorkers would love to pay $0.75 for toll....

Yelp
You can stop off at the numerous nice restaurants and shops, but truthfully just walking around this eclectic neighborhood says volumes about the city. Just find free stuff on Yelp and go from point to point. You'll have a much better feel for NYC afterward.

Kevin W.

Yelp
My favorite place to shop in NYC! I loved it more when it was the home of the only Uniqlo in America! Easy to get to. Shops are usually packed with people. Lines can be long during hoildays. You can find almost any major fashion store here. Great pizza joints all around here, Just an amazing place to come and shop, eat, and people watch!

Gigi A.

Yelp
Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous, baby. If you are visiting Manhattan, you must visit this area, if only for lust. Everything here is gorgeous - the architecture, the people, the stores, the merchandise, even the streets are gorgeous - some are cobblestone. Take the R train to Prince St or the C train to Spring Street and make your way from there. If you are visiting my humble hometown, make SoHo a destination for sure. Have lunch at a great restaurant, window shop at the fabulous stores and bask in the ambiance. It's one of my favorite parts of the City.

Robby R.

Yelp
Loved this entire area for its city ambience as well as the diversity of stores available for shoppers. I always visit Soho area whenever I come up to New York City when I'm in a binge shopper mood. They have everything from retail and beauty to food. Also they have plenty of gorgeous places to visit around the area such as Nomo Soho! My overall rating would be 4.5/5!

Saira K.

Yelp
This trendy area great for people-watching, shopping, and mixing with the in crowd is South of Houston St. Fashion houses, art galleries, and good dining options. It's very full of life.

Kimberly K.

Yelp
The vibe here is awesome and it's absolutely a shopaholic's dream. It's like this huge mall but all the stores are its own separate building. This place gets crowded and you have to walk a little to get to places but that's what also makes the experience enjoyable. There are always little food stands at the side of the street so be sure to check those out!

Abelle N.

Yelp
Did someone say shopping?!? I Can never get bored just strolling around and walking into cute boutiques... So much fun!!! Soho runs from Broadway to 6th Avenue from Houston Street to Canal Street....Soho is a distinctive neighborhood in Manhattan which does...indeed...have a lot of upscale shopping today...in recent years soho has became a famous destination for both shopping and the downtown scene.... There are many trendy restaurants in soho...many different types to choose from...but since NYC is known for there incredible pizza ...these two pizzeria are a must try while you are here... Lombardi's Pizzeria in SoHo ...its great...and for good New York style pizza you can go to John's Pizzeria (there are three locations in Manhattan) go check them out! Ps: The abbriviation of SoHo stand for South of Huston street...:)

Michael F.

Yelp
I love New York and yes I love SoHo. I love coming here even though I can't afford some of the boutique and designer stores in this neighborhood. But if I do shop here, some of my favorite businesses are: UNIQLO - most of the stuff I find on sale are extra small and don't fit me, but I love coming here just to check out the discounted rack. WHOLE FOODS - Because I can always find something vegetarian here and do a little bit of grocery shopping. MUJI - Very cute Japanese things and travel friendly items. CB2 - Cool modern furnishing for your tiny apartment. I love walking around in this neighborhood especially in the weekends when the weather is beautiful. There are local artist that sells their handmade goods on the sidewalk in Little Italy which is located nearby.

Vineet S.

Yelp
Soho is like a complete package for entertainment. It has all the prerequisites for a hood housed with all the necessary things to have a great time.Located in Lower Manhattan it has history which is an archetypal example of inner-city regeneration and gentrification, encompassing socio-economic, cultural, political and architectural developments .It has wide variety of stores and shops ranging from trendy boutiques to outlets of national and international chain stores. * Has some awesome artists lofts and art galleries. *All the upscale retail stores are here. *Really nice restaurants. *Every block/street has a unique look and feel to it. FYI : Soho stands for "South of Houston (Street)".

Lorrie M.

Yelp
I must say, I can't believe I haven't looked into SoHo until this trip, this is one of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan IMO for shopping, tourism as well as just being close to all the fantastic quaint cafes and lounges. This is where great food meets great fashion, great stores meet cozy coffee joints and wonderfully decorated winter theme meets culturally starved tourist like me. Yes its expensive, yes housing here is insane and of course the high end stores scream snob-city but I absolutely love it. I would definitely stay here again and if I ever move to NYC, THIS is it.

Tina C.

Yelp
The name comes from geographic location "SOuth of HOuston" Street, a specifically zoned neighborhood in Manhattan. This area is longtime noted for artists' lofts and art galleries of high ceilings and hard wood floors. It is also known for small extreme pricey boutiques and upscale worldwide brand name designer clothing shops inhabit retail space in Soho. Its architecture is registered in National Register of Historic Places and known for incorporating cast iron elements in structure and design. Some selected areas of Soho contains original cobblestone pave streets. Restaurants and bars are among the inhabitants but out numbered by clothing retail shops. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoHo

Emily D.

Yelp
Put on some comfortable shoes and bring your wallets.. cause we going shopping!!! I love Soho. There's shopping for everyone here. There are the high end stores, but then you have mid range and bargain shoppes as well. Who can say no to the funky jewelry on the street and cheap food from the food trucks. And... it's awesome for the people watching! You might even bump into a celebrity.

Tunaidi A.

Yelp
Shopping... and lots of it. So many stores. Regardless of whether you want to purchase anything or not, it's still worth a visit. Strolling through the area, people watching, and experiencing the consumerism is somewhat of an attraction.

Rebekah E.

Yelp
SoHo is one of those New York gems you just have to experience. Great shopping - so many fantastic boutiques. Amazing dining. And the atmosphere is just nice. It's a great place to spend an afternoon. Grab lunch and make your way around the area afterward to check out the shops. Just explore and get lost. You won't be sorry.

Nana B.

Yelp
One of the best places to shop in NYC UNIQLO - Great chinos in every color and a great selection of basics, as well as outerwear. The entire store is expertly curated and i love the color patterns. The staff is pretty knowledgeable in terms of where everything is and i love the collaborations that they do. TOPMAN - The store is always on the trend and full of great fashion finds, even in the sales section. The men's store is full of expertly tailored suits, outerwear and streetwear. I love the art and mannequin decoration as well. The top floor is where the women's shoes and items, along with the main floor and the 2nd floor, because you know women always have like 10 floors for clothes. The entire area is chock full of stores, from mainstays like 2 H&Ms to a huge new Zara to a Louis Vuitton to Moncler...high end to low end boutiques liter the entire area. There are also great restaurants and food places, such as 2 creperies right next to each other (Vive la Crepe & 8 Turn Crepe) and Little Eataly is right next door and filled with plenty of Italian Restaurants. You'll have a great time here, and there are plenty of cheap fares as well, along with street carts.

Saba A.

Yelp
Wear the most comfortable shoes you own and take a tour! Everything you wish for is here. The best stores, restaurants, stands, maybe celebrities I've heard? Get the map and walk the blocks. I walked so much. I even walked over to Chinatown and Little Italy and spent 5 hours solo in SoHo. If you want to buy something nice for yourself-this is the place to do it! Get your credit card ready but these stores have people that want to help you find what you are looking for. If you want to save money go to Chinatown and buy a dress for less than 20 dollars and please bargain and buy your souvenirs in Chinatown as well. I have posted many pictures but the places I checked out that were in or around SoHo were The Scholastic Store, Guess, Lombardi's Restaurant, a Cupcake Stand, Dash Store (never went inside because of the long line), Bebe, Forever 21, Pink (Victoria Secret), and many more! Check out my pictures, I posted many! :)

Alicia G.

Yelp
Soho. I still love you. I've worked all over Manhattan and Soho is still my favorite place to decompress (and work in). When you realize you're a downtown girl, you don't need to venture past Houston because Soho has everything. Dosas. Overpriced gyms. Prada. Street meat. Any and every store. Any and every tourist. Like a million tourists...who walk all over. Food. Food. Food!!! I can say more, but what is the point? It's one of the best neighborhoods, even though it's been gentrified.

Peter L.

Yelp
Like shopping or not it's worth a visit to this neighborhood. The old buildings amongst modern shopping is quite a scene. If here to shop you'll find from cheap stores to the high-ends (the very first Prada store is cool). Seeing all the styling and fly people is cool too.

Mick P.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC. I mean really, where else can you spot Sarah Jessica Parker* sitting on a bench and chatting with a girlfriend? That was truly my first real NYC experience (which is a shame after being here all my life, and even more of a shame that I'm citing my first real experience to be stalking a celebrity instead of something more traditional like visiting the Statue of Liberty). But hey, who wants to be cliché anyway? Not I and certainly not Sarah Jessica Parker, I'm sure. _____ * I saw SJP a second time in Times Square doing a shoot for SATC 2 and I was literally so close that I could've pulled her weave off....but I contained myself. Thought I'd share.

Alex S.

Yelp
Soho is the only neighborhood I lived in for a year and didn't get to know a single one of my neighbors. That pretty much says it all. It stinks to live in, it stinks to shop in, it stinks to eat in. The coolest thing to do in this neighborhood is to walk around and people watch. The buildings are beautiful, and all the people are convinced they're beautiful too. If your thing is 'being seen' and 'feeling important' then you came to the right place. Take a walk over to Cipriani's and pay $86 for a mediocre plate of food. Then you can take a stroll to the overpriced clothing stores. But I promise you'll look cooler in that $900 jacket. And if you don't feel awesome after that, you can redefine who you are with just three easy payments of $1999.99 for our entire new spring line collection. If people still don't like you, try slathering on more braggadocio. People love hearing about how much money you inherited. Plus don't forget you get to hang out with other like-minded people who sniff their own farts and tweet whenever they see a celebrity, thinking it makes their existence more meaningful. In fact, quite sadly, it only highlights how sad it is they care about the whereabouts of another human being who couldn't give 2 shits if they were even alive. /end rant. Soho is overrated.

Angel H.

Yelp
Meh... Call me old school, call me an old fogey. I remember when this area used to be the home for the store Canal Jeans. Back in the early/mid 80s, you could hit one of these West Village boutiques, then walk all the way to Canal Jeans. When you purchased something, as thankful gesture plus promotion, they would throw in a few store buttons in your bag. If you went to high school in Manhattan during that time period, then you would proudly display these buttons on your vintage mini-army canvas medic bag. Or on your backpack, or a drab military shoulder messenger sack that doubled as something to carry your schoolbooks in. Arty-farty teens who who grew up in Manhattan during the mid-80s know what I'm talking about. Anyway, Canal Jeans used to have these checkered buttons in a small plastic box on the cash register. Free for the taking. The store continued this way after that trend was over. But that was back then. At some point during the mid 90s(?) the place went out of business. Actually both Canal Jean locations went out of business. The Soho location is now where the second Bloomingdale's is. I finally checked out this Bloomingdale's one day when I had to use the restroom. Thankfully these upscale department stores have public bathrooms. Now it's 2012, and Soho is a mecca of overpriced flagship stores. Doesn't matter what label...Prada, Doc Martin's, Ben Sherman, MAC, whatever... The Pearl River Mart is okay, but it's more or less a tourist trap. Celebrities sightings? Unless I'm employed by TMZ, I just don't care. There are a few stores, like Kid Robot, MoMA Design, Apple...but The Evolution Store is my favorite. I could browse inside there for a while. The art galleries...meh. Actually double meh. Just doesn't do it for me. I prefer the smaller galleries like the ones in Chelsea, LES, Brooklyn, even some parts of Queens. I think it's just me, but this area is way too gentrified to enjoy. I can't even enjoy walking down Broadway. Way too many people. I prefer to go down the lesser known side streets. Don't bump into anyone that way. Still, Soho on a nice spring afternoon isn't that bad. Just not my first choice of places to go in NYC. Perhaps I'm just more cynical than the average person. Although I did have a nice martini in a Soho bar once.

Ryan K.

Yelp
SoHo is, for lack of a better descriptor, fabulous. Where else can you buy a $400 Betsey Johnson dress, $1 bite size cupcakes, and a painting created entirely by using spray paint, a paper bag and a kitten? The answer: nowhere. Soho is the shiz. Best recognize.

Louis R.

Yelp
Way too many annoying Long Island girls walking around on Saturdays. ...in heels. So gauche.

Tina L.

Yelp
A shopper / tourist / NYC experience dream. This is NY shopping, people! Expect crowds, sales, shopping bags, and lots of walking. I totally forgot that NY has zero tax (YES! ZERO tax) on clothes that are less than $100. Can I just say...this is AWESOME! Even if you don't end up buying anything, just go to people watch or window shop. There's also a lot of food carts and vendor tables on the sidewalk that you can peruse while walking through.

Bill C.

Yelp
I can't even begin to list all the shops and stores we waltzed into so I'm happy someone put the whole neighborhood as a site to review. You won't find more interesting art anywhere, and I mean literally there was art on the ground, lining the alleys, subway stairwells, as well as in the galleries. Very fun to walk and talk to the artists or gallery workers/owners.

Michael W.

Yelp
Oh my home away from home. Wait, maybe it actually is my real home. SoHo. What can I say? I've practically lived here for the past 7 years. From my home gym, restaurants, shops, and even sights, SoHo has it all. Whether you're looking for high end clothing, or run of the mill wear, look no further. It's only a couple steps away. From old landmarks like Evolution to newer hot spots like Uniqulo, you'll be sure not to leave empty handed. For foodies, there plenty to eat here as well. From cupcakes, to sandwiches, to fine dining, it's all there. For artsy people, don't fret. There are plenty of random artists on the street selling their paintings and other works. Enough of my random ranting. You can see that this place is pretty awesome. However, nothing is perfect in this world. In SoHo, there is one most dreaded of them all: tourists. Tourists, tourists, tourists. What can I say about them? They walk incredibly slow, take up ALL of the sidewalk, and keep looking up like there's something amazing in the sky. Sure, tall building are nice, but keep it moving people. I don't have all day to herd all you cattle. Make sure to NOT do all your walking on Broadway unless you're a fan of foot traffic. Aside from all the obvious things, SoHo is all about the old school cobblestone streets. How I love them so. It's just.....hey Mr. Tourist, get out of my way.

Cat V.

Yelp
It's the SHOPPER'S Heaven and Hell! The best of both worlds you'll definitely find here....Shop til you drizzzzzzop!

Sonny G.

Yelp
J'adore SoHo! I do my internship here I shop here I eat here I drink here I play here I party here I spot celebrities here I chill here So much to see So much to do So many possibilities If you plan on visiting SoHo BRING A LOT OF 'DOE-RAY-ME' and please do dress to impress in this Trendy part of my city!

Heather H.

Yelp
Such a great little neighborhood - everything you need in a small radius. Its one of the pricier places for a cup of coffee, some new shoes, or a couple drinks at night, but the variety and the quality are definitely top notch.

Kayti S.

Yelp
You know what? I love Soho. I am 100% biased, because its my hood, but I just don't see how anyone could dislike Soho. With adorable cobblestone streets and a plethora of any variety of business you'd be foolish to hate. It still hangs on to its artist past with all the galleries, but is also home to expensive shops and restaurants that signify its new era as a trendy high rent district. What's that you say? You don't want all expensive bars, restaurants and shops? No problem! Head over to Nolita, Little Italy or China town. Its only a 5 minute walk. Looking for something in between? Head North to the West Village. Soho is so perfectly nestled between the greatest areas of the city. I think the best thing about Soho is that it feels like home. When I get up off the subway after my day of work abreast with the tall buildings of Midtown, its nice to arrive on my cute little streets of Soho. The one downside is the constant influx of tourists, but hey, I can't blame them for wanting to see the coolest neighborhood in the city.

Matt H.

Yelp
Minus 2 for what it has become....SoHo, short for South of Houston, is my NYC neighborhood. Back in the day before Bowie, Alba, Kravitz, Hudson et al resided here, this place was edgy. Great old lofts (real lofts, not 'loft style' manufactured West Coast wanna be lofts), real cobblestone streets, Canal Jean and their ubiquitous buttons, Dean & Deluca when it looked like and tiny mom & pop store, and the infamous unsolved abduction of Etan Patz. In 1983 my parents purchased a 2500 sq. foot loft on Lafayette Street for under 200K- who-da thunk this location would turn into such a prime spot? I didn't see that coming.... Soho 2008, like most of NYC (except the always boring, never evolving Upper East Side) has become what it wasn't in the 70s and 80s- tourist friendly, safe and a little dull. Call me crazy, but when I want to walk down Prince Street on a Saturday, I'd prefer to not battle a bunch of bridge and tunnelers to get to Guido's for some homemade sausage or Joe's for homemade mozzarella. 2 old school joints that represent the New York I remember and miss dearly.

Jason W.

Yelp
Soho is my favorite part of NY. I just love all the stores....from Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana to the Adidas.........they have all them all. The architecture of the buildings mixed with the cool, trendy urban vibe of this neighborhood really makes this an incredible place to hangout. Lastly, the art galleries, hundredes of cafes/restaurants and of course, all the hot women walking around in their high heels and boy shorts.....truly makes this area one of the coolest places to visit. All day.................food, drink, shops and hundreds of sexy babes from all over the world. I love NY.........I love Soho!

Juan M.

Yelp
So cool to be able to bring my girl here. She loved just looking around and taking in the views. The best part of Soho for me was visiting Prince St. Pizza!

Willis W.

Yelp
Things are changing all over NYC. Bloomberg has turned Manhattan into a big freaking mall. Plain and simple. You better think twice if you f*ck with Soho. I said it back then and I'll say it again...THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN NYC. You don't agree with me? WHO CARES!!? I've wanted to live here since I was 17. I want the f*cking huge loft in some random warehouse next to a gallery. I want to have parties where Parker Posey is dying to attend. I want to watch tourists get lost on the cobblestone streets that DEFY the NYC grid system; Me (hanging out the window) - "You're a good distance from the Milford Plaza lady!!!" I want to have brunch on the sidewalk every weekend and just f*cking CHILL man. Where else is there that you can bask in the surroundings and take it all in? Can anyone deny that if you're hitting an evening function in Soho, you won't love it? Maybe the lifelong art student I am can only see this. I won't even think about the painful DKNY mural at Broadway & Houston GONE; replaced by HOLLISTER? WTF is that about? I want to live here, party here, dine here, die here... If you don't know, now you know _ _ _ _ _ !

Yelp
Shopping heaven for people who won't to drop a hefty dollar. Even though it was nice to walk around, I would not say the shopping is that great. Yeah they have affordable stores for the poor college student...like H&M, but nothing that stands out for someone on a budget. However, the eateries around here are phenomenal. I had an amazing taco from a local truck. So if you do walk around Soho...make sure it on an empty stomach!

Yelp
This place is NYC consumerism at its finest. 1) I always come here to charge my phone at the Apple Store. 2) There are always some nice stores to browse around. 3) Even if you don't buy, it is a nice place to visit.
