"Why we love it: A design-savvy boutique hotel with direct beach access The Highlights: - Bright design that’s full of personality - A focus on exploring the hotel’s natural surroundings - Direct access to pristine Seven Mile Beach The Review: A welcome departure from the classic Negril resort scene, this stylish boutique hotel—opened in 2018—melds local flavor, a vintage Havana feel, and a contemporary sensibility in a way that speaks to the curious, independent traveler. Set along 220 pristine feet of Seven Mile Beach, the hotel features a clean-lined, mid-century modern-inspired aesthetic throughout, accented by bright textiles, artwork, and a curated soundtrack that celebrates the history of Jamaican music. Room options range from studios set on the second floor of the accommodation wing, to options with patios or balconies looking out at either the garden or the ocean. All have air conditioning, USB outlets, Bluetooth radio, free Wi-Fi, and mini-bars. Skylark is big on encouraging guests to explore the area, whether that means taking advantage of the direct beach access (the hotel provides loungers, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and beach games, plus food and beverage service), going for a boat ride, hiking to a waterfall, or zip-lining through the jungle."

It was supposed to be a an overnight stop, it turned into a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were so friendly, welcoming excellent customer service. The spa staff Enid, Pet and Julene were absolutely awesome. You have to have a Spa treatment, the relaxing bath after a massage is perfect ro unwind and destress.|Candy is a great hostess at the restaurant, her recommendations are spot on. We will try the complimentary pass to the Rockhouse next time

My husband and I treated ourselves to a couples massage during our stay at the Skylark Hotel. We each got the deep tissue option and it was a pure delight. Enid and Julene were our masseuses. I 1000% recommend this spa. They added an extra foot scrub in an area overlooking the ocean which was amazing. There were 3 different oils to select for the massages- each with their own aromatherapy benefits. The massages were thorough and invigorating. It was pure bliss.

This is my favorite spot on the beach for many reason , most importantly ; |from the moment you arrive this property has a calming element. You’ll be warmly received by the staff at the desk and Welcomed. The rooms are cozy , modern and are designed well for a relaxing beach getaway. Not to mention this property is homes to miss Lilly’s ; one of the best restaurants in town - food is consistently great , breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Third time at Skylark. Amazing boutique hotel. The vibe is so chill. The beach cannot be beat. Don’t hesitate to book. Only suggestion would be to have coffee in the room. Even a keurig would be great to bring own pods. Many restaurants/bars to walk to nearby. Felt very safe

Went to Skylark Spa for a deep tissue massage, and it was an amazing treatment. My therapist Petranella was fantastic - friendly and very skilled. I'll definitely be coming back.

Loved the food! It was my second time and we were not disappointed… I must say.. Abby was something else she listened and she was so funny …. We love Abby! One thing that I was not pleased with, this tall man; not sure if he was a manager, came over to ask how was everything and I advise one person did not like the Callaloo, I though he would’ve suggested or ask if there was something else we would’ve liked…. Aside from that it was 9/10 would give 10/10 but there was no alternative

I didn't stay at the hotel so can't comment on rooms. But left my hotel (Azul) an ventured there several days. Believe locally owned, so a true Jamaican vibe. Food and drinks bloody awesome, and staff super friendly and attentive. Plan to stay there next visit.

This is my 3rd visit. The hotel is perfectly located on 7 mile beach. The restaurant on-site is phenomenal. The rooms are literally steps from the beach…and perfect for families, couples or just a friends trip. The Skylark attracts all the well-traveled and cultured tourists who want to be far away from the all inclusive boredom you find elsewhere. This is a must stay for Negril.
