It's addicting!!! I had it 3 times in a work week about a month ago. Yep, that good! The staff is always friendly and professional. Don't be surprised if instead of calling your number they bring your food to you. Their burgers are something you would make at home when you want the little something extra. Oh, yeah, I met the owner today. He had no problem taking a few minutes to come out the kitchen and chat with me. That's kind of rare these days in any type of business. 🍻

Delicious food! Grilled chicken with bacon comes with friends which are delicious! Strawberry lemon comes with free refills if dining in. They have to-go containers for guests to take their leftovers.

In my fifth attempt at this establishment, I was initially impressed by the best friend chicken sandwiches I had in a while. However, the consistency of the food has been inconsistent over the past three visits. On the most recent occasion, I ordered a meal and returned home to find that the first bite of my sandwich had dislodged the chicken filling, leaving it on my shirt and pants. The chicken breading had separated from the chicken, resulting in a soggy and uneven texture. Considering the price of two meals around $50, I would expect better quality food. While I am not criticizing the establishment, I believe that the chefs need to improve their food preparation skills. As a chef with 18 years of experience, I can create a consistent recipe that remains intact and appealing. I was somewhat disappointed that my sandwich today resulted in so much food waste, didn’t feel like it was made with love just rushed . Despite the initial positive experience, I would rate this establishment three out of five stars. While the music and ambiance are enjoyable, the food has lost its appeal and excitement compared to the first time I tried it.

Sideshow Kitchen is such a lovely place to spend time outdoors — the patio is comfortable, relaxed, and makes you want to linger. The food is outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish feels both hearty and creative, and it’s the kind of meal that leaves you full but already planning your next visit. A perfect spot for enjoying great food in a welcoming setting.

We were in town for work and found this hidden gem! I highly recommend. Hands down the Best wings and chicken I’ve ever had. We went multiple times.

Ordered a “Good burger” with avocado and some garlic fries. It was outstanding. Not much to say other than this place is good and you must try it. Food is reasonably priced. Quality is good. Atmosphere is nice. It’s all outside semi covered seating. They have several tvs for viewing sporting events but it’s not full on sports bar vibes. It’s kid and pet friendly. They play some music but it’s not outrageous. Not too long of a wait

Accidentally ordered fries with each purchase. The price per order was so good we didn't realize fries were included. Got a call saying we ordered extra fries and we cancelled the fry order. They were on the phone right away to cancel that order and got our refund back. Burgers, fries and fried chicken sandos were amazing. Highly recommend Sideshow Kitchen.

Saw this on my Reels for a while and decided to give it a try. Service was amazing. Menu is clear and to the point with many different options. It's all outdoors with just the right amount of seating. There's covered seating as well as uncovered! We had the Good Burger with fries and the buffalo wings with cheese fries. The strawberry milkshake was thick and creamy. I love also that they have Pepsi and Starry!!!!

Sideshow Kitchen is a legit spot if you're in the mood for comfort food done right. I stopped by recently and was seriously impressed with the vibe and how quick and easy everything was--ordering was a breeze, and my food came out fast, hot, and fresh. I went for the good burger with fries, and a dozen wings--half BBQ lemon pepper, half garlic parmesan. The burger was big, and served with crispy fries on the side--nothing fancy, but everything you want in a good burger i just wish it was a bit juicier. The wings, though, that's where Sideshow Kitchen really shines. Both the BBQ lemon pepper and garlic parmesan were tasty, but the garlic parmesan wings were the absolute star of the show. They were perfectly crispy, with a rich, garlicky sauce that was full of flavor without being overwhelming. I could've easily ordered another dozen of those. Oh, and the mango lemonade? A solid choice to wash it all down--sweet and refreshing, with just the right amount of tang. Overall, Sideshow Kitchen is the kind of spot where you know you're going to get a great meal, quick service, and solid flavor. Whether you're in the mood for wings, a burger, or both, this place doesn't disappoint. I'll definitely be back to indulge in those garlic parmesan wings again!

The Good Burger. . . Shredded lettuce, single patty MW, slice of raw purple onion, American cheese melted down over meat, aioli perfect size bun to contain all the burger goodness! Crispy seasoned fries on the outside, tender and hot inside. Service pleasant and fast! I arrive while only two people enjoying their meals. After my food was delivered to my table, it got busy with folks ordering takeout and dine-in food. Great music, pet friendly and three tv screens to watch. Hungry for fast good food this is your place!

We were very surprised with the ratings compared to the food we had here. I had the classic chicken sandwich with fries. My partner had the good burger with the garlic cheese fries. The classic chicken sandwich had two patties and was freshly fried. But I can't say there was much flavor in the aioli or the chicken. And there was too much chicken in my opinion (two patties as opposed to one). My partner thought the same thing with his burger not having much flavor either. However, the garlic in his garlic cheese fries were overpowering and was very garlicky. I think the portions are generous, which might make a lot of people might like this place. But when it comes to the nuance of the flavors of the sauces, we've had better. We are not in a rush to come back here even though the staff is pretty nice. You order at the counter first and then someone calls out your name and order and brings it to you. There's plenty of street parking on the Main Street and in the neighborhood area nearby.

This could very well be a blue collar workers' institution. From the back, It looks like a dilapidated homeless shelter if you drive by it and just glance. But inside, it is a industrial sprawl with amazing food! The front looks like a painting supply shop so it is easy to miss or mistaken. First time here on a recommendation from a colleague. I can report that this is EASILY my new vote for Best Spicy Chicken Sandwich in Oakland leapfrogging ahead of Hot Boys by City Hall and Uptown's Hot Bird. I ordered via Grubhub. There is a pick up line and they called my name out before I figured out the system. Love the reliable no nonsense messing around service here. I now know where to go when I am starving. 5/5 without a doubt. PS-add garlic to your garlic fries: you will not regret it.

Love this burger spot. Ever since some customers of mine Introduced me to this spot in the east bay, I always try to come here for lunch when I'm working in the east bay. Great staff, very friendly, and great burgers. Top 5 smash burger spot in all Bay area. Their wibbgs are bomb too!

(4.5 out of 5) Food is very good, when I'm in the area this is definitely a spot that we have in rotation, hyphy sandwich is a solid 5/5 and the SS burger is a 4.5/5, I've heard mixed thing about the fry's but I personally like them and the rub they put on it as well, they also have custom lemonades with free refills, the sauces are 50 cents each which is kinda annoying but worth it, I suggest getting the hyphy sauce, honey mustard, and SS aioli. It's always been the same lady taking orders every time I've went and she's very nice. I love the look of the seating area very cool how they have license plates everywhere. When you come by tell them Rothyy sent you!

Tried Sideshow Kitchen for the first time and we'll definitely be back! Got the sideshow burger and the hyphy chicken sandwich and it was so good. Service was on point! Appreciate the covered / outdoor area!

We came to try to is place out since it was recommended to us. We ordered the good burger and the spicy fried chicken sandwich along with the garlic cheese fries. The burger was just OK not much seasoning to it little overcooked and it wasn't a smash tight burger at all. The ratio for the burger to bread was really good and the bun was soft. The spicy fried chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all. They barely was any sauce on it. What made it spicy were the jalapeños only, but they gave you plenty of chicken for the sandwich and the chicken was tender. The garlic cheese fries were good very garlic like. The service was good and it was plenty of space to sit down outside and they have heaters. Also, the cost is a little expensive. I really wanted to give more starts since I was excited for the place.

I absolutely love this I have gone several times. I take all my friends. The chicken club is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The garlic fries is a must upgrade

It was ok for a single person @$19 for the Good Burger /Garlic Fries & drink . The location is cute the service was great. The burger was a bit light on the seasoning for me . I would recommend combining the spicy sauce and the other sauce they have to the burger. I would comeback with friends not my kids , it's a fully outdoor location . Great for Summertime

I got to say the classic fried chicken I had was the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had and the lemon pepper wings perfection on a bone my wife had the good burger super good and she had the hyphy wings just incredible with a chocolate shake I need to know what chocolate do you use for the chocolate shake and you need to get the bacon cheese fries just wow thanks again for the great tasting food we will be back soon

I like everything about Sideshow Kitchen. It's a nice casual outdoor eatery with benches throughout for modest sized groups. A clean restroom in back. A flat screen tv near the front was playing the Clippers vs Mavs playoff game on this particular Sunday afternoon. Simple menu with something for everyone, burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, fries, shakes, beers, etc. I ended up ordering: Sideshow burger - Double cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, ss aioli & "Good Burger" sauce. Excellent burger. It's maybe a slight step behind TrueBurger but it is neck and neck. Hyphy Fried Chicken Sandwich- Fried chicken, housemade coleslaw, roasted jalapeño, Hyphy hot sauce, honey mustard & sideshow aioli. This was the star of the show. This chicken sandwich hit the spot. Delicious. And if you like chicken sandwiches, you'll like this one. Fries came with both sandwiches and the fries are crispy and flavorful. Chocolate shake: I wish I could be real descriptive but it's thick, chocolate, and just good. Service was friendly, a really great staff working at sideshow kitchen. Food preparation is fast and the food comes out hot. Not much to dislike at SideShow Kitchen. But a ton of things to like about it.

I've had their sideshow burger and veggie mexicali burger and the veggie one was surprisingly better than the normal one. It came out to be about $20-25 with fries and a tip, so a little up there. Awesome location too.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to burgers- Sideshow Kitchen was a great find. Service was friendly and quick, the restaurant was clean and stocked. Burger and fries were cooked to order. Burger was juicy. Fries were properly seasoned and hot. I'll definitely come back again!

This place has a cool vibe and plenty of seating. This wouldn't be a place I go to again, I got the chicken wings and cheese fries. Super underwhelming food, it was like typical frozen food through in the fryer. The cheese fries were horrible, it was a flavorless cheese it was weird it was like see through watery nothing you wanted to eat. The wings were just as bad with a weird lemon pepper taste, and the buffalo sauce was weird too. Kinda like they used generic items for flavor. But I will say the customer service was a 10, the lady at the window was helpful and patient. I think they just need some tasters, or I could just be over critical. I didn't get to take pictures of my food. It wasn't much to look at lol

Food was excellent but the cherry on top of it all was the amazing service with the most beautiful dimple filled smile from the cashier. This place is great, it has great atmosphere and decor, the music is so nostalgic to us Bay Area babies. I can't wait to visit this place again!

Still the best burger around, hands down...I really can't emphasize that point. Good people, great food...we are lucky to have them. Thank you all...again. See y'all when I need another burger fix. Right on.

This place is a cool outdoor seating restaurant. The staff was friendly as they waited for us to order. They play Bay Area music which I really enjoyed, definitely a fun place. The hyphy chicken sandwich was super good and highly recommend. It's a little spicy. After trying the sandwich, I was almost sad I chose a grilled chicken salad trying to be all healthy but the salad so amazing. Very herby and lots of texture, I used both dressings I liked them. The garlic fries were great, very garlicky. The Arnold Palmer was tasty and free refills. This place is a gem

What a perfect place to go when you're craving a burger and fries! I came to Sideshow Kitchen on a sunny day for lunch. Their seating is all outdoors but it is all covered overhead. It is also dog friendly, and I loved seeing all the dogs roaming around with their owners!! I ordered the Sideshow burger (which comes with fries) and a dozen wings (half buffalo jerk, half lemon pepper). Everything was amazing. I thought the burger was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of seasoning. While both wings were good, I really liked the buffalo jerk and highly recommend!

We have been trying to come to sideshow for the past 2 years but unfortunately we kept messing up the times and the days they were closed but finally, FINALLY we made it! We are so happy to report we were not disappointed in the least! Food was delicious, the service was impeccable especially for a small outside hole in the wall vibe type of place. Staff was so friendly and helped with recommending items. And honestly it was super clean outside and the restroom too which had a lot of character just like the establishment. The cheeseburger had gray flavors. Unfortunately my chicken sandwich seemed a little unseasoned in comparison but it didn't stop me from finishing it. The garlic fries were so ooy and gooy we really liked them. We will be back again soon! Thanks side show for the great food and service!

I believe this burger spot has the system down to a science. They have taken advantage of the real estate and made this open-spaced dining spot an enclosed haven. As a result, you get the best ratings on Yelp that money can buy. The location has a great layout and ambiance. I could not confirm their organic beef source, but it would be ideal if they complied. After consumption, I can tell it lacks the texture of the organic staple. As a California-based burger business, complying with the standards of optimum health options would undoubtedly pull customers out of the marketing synopsis. People who consume red meat as a whole have no idea where the source comes from. People who eat organically grown red meat are conscious of its resources and support sustained agriculture that works for the planet and not against it. It also brings about a certain level of consciousness to the dining experience. Suppose you want to be the best in this business; you have to follow the pathway that makes you universal. While this spot is making waves after 5 + years, they still have not realized their true potential. True potential begins with what you consume and ultimately ends with what is left over. Waste not want not. Food is no different. What we eat, feel, feel, share, and share is relative experience. What we experience is the result of truths.

Wow! Hyphy chicken sandwich - large, juicy stacked chicken, lightly crispy batter and slightly sweet and spicy sauce that I wish was more prominent. The deep fried jalapeño in there though that is what makes it though! The slaw was standard and it was on a burger bun that kinda got gummy, I'd prefer brioche Garlic fries - super crispy, Hella garlic and even a Lil Cajun seasoning, these were excellent and some of the best garlicky garlic fries I had Service was Hella nice and welcoming at the window ( I ordered to go) Atmosphere was chill, like a backyard cookout with benches I'll have to try their wings next time and maybe cheesy garlic fries! Definitely recommend!

We got the Sideshow Burger with garlic fries which were both very tasty. The burger buns are paired perfectly with the nice sized patties. The garlic fries were crispy and fresh with diced garlic and herbs. Service was very pleasant and personable. The entrance is accessible with outdoor only seating. The seating area is completely covered and really colorful. Good vibes and great food.

First time here! Local hangout ! I thought this was in Berkley! Tucked on a street corner, I will never found this if it wasn't for my friend who live near by, its on it's own on this corner so you have to plan to come here to get here otherwise you wont find it. You order at the counter from the board, they have a couple of crazy looking burgers. The seating is on a patio so it will be cold on a cold day, there is no indoor seating. The burgers were very nice cooked medium rare and Juicy. The fries are a big hit for me very nicely made and tasty and fresh, step up from IN-N-OUT differnt style, loved it. Parking is easy on the street. Service is fast and friendly. If you love burgers it's a definatly worth to try.

It's OKAY, I got the sideshow burger with bacon and it still needed more cheese more flavor. More sauce more cheese more seasoning on the meat. The pics from the owner on Yelp was a bit deceiving because it ain't that much cheese and sauce on the burger. The fries needed more flavor as well and was not a fan of the Nashville Honey hot wings nor the Parmesan wings. I was excited to try sideshow and was a bit let down. I was ready for a flavor party in my mouth and didn't get that. I would be back if the burgers can have more cheese and sauce on the burger and salt.

Food: my partner got the chicken sandwich which he seemed to really enjoy so I think the burgers and sandwiches here are the move. But I got the garlic fried with cheese which reminded me of in n out animal style fries (but with garlic fries instead) and I thought the cheese was gonna be shredded parm, not nacho cheese. I unfortunately didn't like my side order very much but will come back to try other menu items. The ambiance is dope though, lots of art to see, and cozy airy outdoor seating.

I moved to this area not too long ago and Sideshow has become one of my favorite go-to spots! The staff is friendly and helpful, the food comes out quickly and the portions are generous for the price. Their outside seating area is pretty spacious and the ambiance is really nice with the lights and signs they've set up. So far I've tried the: Good Burger - really classic cheeseburger, toppings are all really fresh and I believe all their burgers and sandwiches come with a side of fries - which are really nicely seasoned and crispy! (5/5) Cheese Fries - really indulgent and delicious, and a huge portion! (5/5) Grilled Chicken Salad - really bright dressing, fresh veggies, and nicely seasoned chicken, and the pickles are a nice touch. a decent salad! (4/5) My housemates also love Sideshow and have raved about the Grilled Salmon Sandwich, the Sideshow burger (double patty), and the Garlic Fries. My only qualm is that they close so early (8pm)! But that just gives me all the more incentive to go :).

Love sideshow!!! The burgers and chicken sandwiches are some of the best in Oakland. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Do yourself a favor and go!

6 stars if I could ... the burgers are top tier --- whoever assembled their core menu is a master at their craft . Best buns in the world . Too lazy to continue but this place is my burger spot of the year for 2024 Pls stay open for a long time

Great neighborhood spot. Covered patio seating. Friendly counter service. I had the MexiCali burger with pepper Jack cheese, avocado, grilled jalapeno, and l/t/o. The burger is thin but flavorful. The toppings were fresh and ample. I really enjoyed it. I would probably order a double to get more burger taste. The fries were crispy with a dusting of a Cajun seasoning. These are great especially with a cold beer. With a decent variety of 6-8 beers on tap, this is a great place to hang out with friends to enjoy a casual lunch. My only constructive criticism is that their beer is not cold enough. They should turn down their beer fridge 10 degrees colder or get their beer fridge serviced to perform better.

Stopped by the side show yesterday to grab myself some lunch while I was making a run to my kids school on my lunch break I ordered there side show burger meal and upgraded to there garlic fries I did the online ordering trying to be efficient but I did t realize how busy of a place this is. I will just say if you are trying f to come by during the lunch rush be sure to order early and check your food before you leave the counter they are moving so fast they may over look something (they gave me regular fries but like I said I upgraded to garlic fries). Food was super flavorful and fresh so I will be making my way back to the show but I will try to avoid the lunch rush next time

They go dumb go dumb at the sideshow Growing up in North Oakland I remember when this island was nothing (an empty nothing). When I find something I like, it's hard af to keep me away. My go to is the chicken sandwich or the fried chicken salad but today I order the wings and cheese fries and of course, IT WAS A HIT. Food is always fresh and hot. Customer service is always on point and the ambiance is backyards chillin with the homies vibe.

The burger was really good. I could taste the cooked jalapeños with the avocado. And the fries were not bland. The Arnold Palmer needed some more sweetness but overall good too. I really enjoyed the wings, the buffalo sauce was enough and the wings were well cooked and crunchy! The service was really good. They didn't rush me or my wife and they were also detailed oriented. Every time a customer left, they were on it. They made sure to pick up and clean the tables to make sure that they were ready for the next customer that walked in. Additionally, they also went around and ask customers if they needed anything which I appreciated. Next time I'm in the Bay, I'm definitely coming back.

Super friendly staff! We had the good burger (it was in fact gooood) and the hyphy wings, which to me were mid. The wings were nicely cooked, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. I'll forsure be back to try the rest of the menu!

I hardly ever leave 5 stars however, this place deserves all the stars! My husband has been raving about this place so he finally dragged me along and I'm happy he did. When we arrived it was on the corner and you walk up to the register to order from outside, the guy taking the order was very serious and direct but it was something pleasant about him. I ordered the salmon burger with the raspberry pineapple lemonade and fries. My husband ordered the sideshow burger with wings and fries. We sat down outside in a fenced in area and they brought our food to us when it was ready. The presentation of the burgers is beautiful okay, once I took a bite of my burger I was in heaven, the texture, the flavor even the coleslaw and I hate coleslaw but I ate it that day and it was delicious. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever tasted lol. The wings were very good, it had a spicy after taste which I loved. The lemonades were alright, only because I wanted more raspberry flavor then pineapple flavor but it was still good. Bonus! The owner was very inviting and friendly, you can tell customer service is very important to him! This is our new burger spot! Please check it out!

The service was excellent (thanks Armando!) the vibe was so good despite my small trials of error earlier - my burger came out amazing & it was huge I could only eat half fries were hot & we'll seasoned. I will def be back & already had several friends ask me where I was since I came here after a solo tattoo session. Lol. Also happy birthday SpongeBob eating a burger in honor of you.

Don't mess around here. Just get the burger. With cheese and all the toppings. Its stacked up so high its hard to get in your mouth. But you'll make it happen. Cause its delicious. The owner came out to chat with us when we were eating here on a Friday. What a wonderfully friendly guy. I see why he's successful. If you are in a (slightly) healthier mood and want to act like your getting a salad, order the fried chicken salad. Its fantastic. But its a serious meal, so if you are on a diet, just stay home. We ventured over to Oakland based on a friends recommendation. It's a standalone building on an island off Stanford Ave. you order at a Syd walk window and your food is brought to you on one of two outside patios; one coveted and one open air. We ordered two orders of wings, teriyaki and lemon pepper, a Hyphy chicken Sando, a crisoy chicken Sando, and their Sideshow double patty cheeseburger, plus garlic fries. Friendly window/counter service while ordering and when it is brought out on metal trays. They also serve a nice variety of craft beer. There was a decent lunch crowd and brisk takeout too. The chicken sandwiches were pounded thin and very nicely fried. The burger was moist and had lots of meaty flavor. Fries were nice and crunchy. Wings were well sauced and fried well- be sure you squeeze the sweet lemon onto your wings- Good spot to visit for food or a craft beer.

This place is great! They have plenty of outdoor seating, including covered, and enough staff to deliver the food in a timely and pleasant fashion. Everyone working there is really nice and cheerful. I love that! I had the fried chicken salad and it was scrumptious! I also had the iced tea with a splash of lemonade.

Dayum! Solid burger and fries combo! Tasty, juicy and hitting on all cylinders. Fries could've been a little crispier imo, but we're well seasoned and good. Got some wings to go with the hyphy sauce, we're ok. Fried real hard and a tad overcooked. Will def be back for a burger and want to try the milkshakes next time too!

I got a taste of this amazing spot. I like the spot, it gives a chill vibe and the workers are awesome and very respectful. It was a nice experience here. I would recommend eating here. The food is 5/5. The best burger i had. Perfect soft buns with a well done burgers. The garlic fries was also my favorite. I will order here again.

I was having a hard day when i ordered sideshow kitchen to go this burger turned my whole mood around! It was fresh and well put together despite the delivery wait time. My only complaint was that the fries were very salty for my palate but would definitely go again.

They're sooo kind!! Service was ELITE! Def will return. Nice "backyard" eating area with picnic table and TVs. Food is made fresh and delish. Their slush/lemonade was very refreshing with a perfect mix of tart and sweetness. Great flavors! The hyphy wings are my def fav! But they have such good classic buffalo wings. The garlic fried and ADD the cheese! You won't regret! So good. Everything about the place is good!

We love this burger spot! Burgers are cooked perfectly every time & fries are well seasoned. Great outdoor atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. They have a variety of options on the menu. We always get a good burger & a drink, satisfies the cravings.

Cheese fries are great too! Finally ate at the restaurant itself and they have a lovely little outdoor space.
