What a fun experience! A nice smooth cruise around the harbor. Relaxing. Our Capitan gave a narration of what we were seeing in the harbor. Weather was perfect. Indoor seating and outside up top (about 12 stairs to go up top) ocean breeze and a nice panoramic view. Very budget friendly. Enjoyed very Much

Google
Always a great place to eat, shop, stroll by the “board walk” cause it is concrete shaped and colored like wood. Today we attended a great event the 50th Anniversary of Roscoe’s. Thanks for the management who provided Free Entertainment, music from two separate stages. One with a big stage and the other with a smaller stage. And of course “Free Chicken”! We hung out for fours. When we left at 6 pm and they’re still serving chicken. We hope to celebrate again with you next year!

Great place to get away and relax! To see the beauty of the island and all the beautiful boats and restaurants. Plenty of bike rentals if you wanted to get around town.

I recently visited Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach and had a wonderful time. The park is perfect for a leisurely walk, offering scenic views of the Queen Mary, the Long Beach skyline, and the nearby Aquarium of the Pacific . The area was bustling with people enjoying the pleasant weather and vibrant atmosphere. A highlight of my visit was stumbling upon an ice cream truck, which provided a delightful treat to enjoy while taking in the surroundings. The park's open green spaces and proximity to attractions like the Lions Lighthouse make it an ideal spot for relaxation.

Nice place to take a evening stroll. If you are in the area I recommend going to this park and the light house.

Google
This park is an area with many nice businesses, the Aquarium is here, and it has a large grassy park-like area at the lighthouse (Lion Lighthouse.) The area is also nice and peaceful to walk around.

I had the pleasure of arranging florals (Picnic Perfect AV, Inc.) for today’s event with Best Buddies at the shoreline, and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. The Shoreline area in Long Beach is absolutely stunning, the perfect backdrop for such a wonderful cause. It was an honor to be a part of this memorable day!

As a Los Angeles wedding photographer and owner of NZ WEDDING STUDIO, I truly recommend Shoreline Park for your wedding photos. If you're getting married in Long Beach or nearby, this is one of the best spots for your couple photos. The park has everything—beautiful ocean views, palm trees, green spaces, the marina, and some well-known Long Beach landmarks. You can get so many different photo styles in just one location. It’s calm, romantic, and looks amazing around sunset. Perfect for weddings, elopements, or engagement sessions. We love shooting here—and you will too!

Yelp
Shoreline meets Park... It's all in the name. This cool stretch of waterfront greenery, architecture, landmarks, loungey spots and scenic views is one you should definitely take in. Located off Shoreline Drive it's home to the Long Beach Navy Memorial, Lion's Lighthouse, Aquarium of the Pacific and so many local eateries, shops and sites. We strolled about for a while having a nice leisure late morning/early afternoon before lunch on the Queen Mary. It was kind of magical to enjoy after so long especially with someone incredibly special to me. There's plenty of places to stroll, have a nice lunch and enjoy the fun. It's fresh open air with a nice breeze even when the weather is warmer. You can find shady areas throughout while overlooking the boats in the water. I didn't really grow up in Long Beach, but it was frequented with family and our family who live nearby. Even after moving away for sometime my high school prom was held at the Aquarium. I've attended many Long Beach Pride festivals and we tend to make our way over here before or after for some nice downtime. A lot of the restaurants have been enjoyed in the past as well as food trucks in the more present. And there's plenty of them, especially those snow cone trucks. It's about 12+ acres in its entirety, with plenty of parking around though limited so others can come and enjoy. It does make it a little tricky if you want to spend a good chunk of time - Pike's Outlets parking has less restrictions, but none of the parking is overnight, so be mindful of that if staying close by while visiting. I believe the max for parking garages and lots is $16 for the day. The parking along the shoreline with meters is limited to 2 hours. While the park is open 24 hours, they do typically follow most public park rules in Los Angeles county from sunrise to sunset or roughly 8am to 6pm. Basically just means no one on site after those hours, very similar to the Aquarium's hours. It's a great place to enjoy solo, with friends/chosen fam, family, someone special and anyone you want to show this historic part of Long Beach.

Yelp
Growing up in Long Beach, this park brings back so much memories. I remember how it used to look with the playground and bike path that connects to shoreline village. The bridge that crosses over to the park. Fast forward to now. Years later the whole place has change. And this was the very first time I've actually walked the path again and visited the park. A big part of my childhood came back. Remembering spending the weekend out and about. With the major upgrade, it's beautiful. The marina area is now docked with million dollars yacht and tour boats. Also with restaurants and the aquarium. There was never anything like that prior. Just the park, parking lot and sort. Now it's a beautiful place. You have the pathway along the waterfront that leads you to the park. The path leads you around the park area which overlooks to the Queen Mary as well as shoreline village. The pier is still there for fishing. The park area was quite nice and to main attraction, the lighthouse. They've upgraded this place big time. The side where the marina is, they've made a little beach with a nice wooden pathway. It was nice many years ago, but the major upgrade. It's beautiful. There were family's just lounging. Kids on scooters, people on dates. And of course, catching the sunset. I think there's a parking lot connected to it but we parked in the aquarium structure. It was nice to see what this place has become.

Yelp
Shoreline Aquatic Park - Long Beach This park is such a relaxing spot with some of the best views in Long Beach. It's perfect for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or just sitting on one of the benches and watching the water. From here you get an amazing view of the Queen Mary, which makes the scenery feel really special and unique. The area is clean, safe, and great for couples, families, or even solo visitors who just want to enjoy the ocean breeze. You'll also see the harbor, cargo cranes, and plenty of boats passing by, which makes it a fun mix of city and seaside atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting at sunset for an extra beautiful experience--the Queen Mary looks even more stunning with the evening light behind it!

Yelp
Great park to relax, take a strioll or spend the whole afternoon enjoying the sun and places to look at while strolling or walking your dog. We have a small Yorkie who enjoyed walking and running all over the green grass. The park has lots of trees and the gentle breeze from the bay was nice. What's nice about this park was the time we attended the 50th Anniversary of Roscoe's. They served free chicken and had lists of shows from the two stages that were set up.

Yelp
Known officially as the 'Shoreline Aquatic Park', this 12 acre park is located near downtown Long Beach, right next to the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Marina (where boats will take tourists on hour long excursions) , and an easy walk from the Pike shopping center and Shoreline Village. Another one of many reasons why I love living in downtown Long Beach, Shoreline park has views of Queen Mary, the Carnival Cruise Line port (who had a giant ship at port on a Tuesday). There were various ice cream carts selling their wares throughout the park. The park also includes the Lions Lighthouse (an easy navigation marker), along with a ton of grassy areas with paved walkways, places to have a picnic or just chill and watch the water. There is a small shared parking lot: $6 for 2 hours max.

Yelp
We walked around the beautiful Shoreline Park after we visited the Aquarium of the Pacific. The weather was so beautiful yesterday, and we walked around the park from 5:30-6 p.m. This Shoreline Park offers some great views of the marina, the iconic Queen Mary, and the Long Beach skyline etc. There's also a lighthouse at the park. It's perfect to take a stroll, go cycling, picnic, etc.

Yelp
A beautiful park so much you can do. Hubby and I took the harbor breeze boat for 45 mins for only $20 each. Walked around the park until get to the Shoreline village and ate at the yard house restaurant it was so good and ate ice cream and a cute place. It was so relaxing to walk around and do some shopping. The stores around have great souvenirs at great prices.. Recommended it if you are close to Long Beach area.

Yelp
This was a nice place to visit. You can see Queen Mary ship and cruise ships. It was a nice and easy walk.

Yelp
Was very busy at Mother's Day. Super close to the Aquarium. Beautiful place to bike or skate around. I recommend enjoying the waterfront, the lighthouse, and the view from the lighthouse. My recommendation to the city, please clean up the water where the boats are stationed. There is so much trash in the water that takes away from the ambiance of such a beautiful place!
google avatar

Lindy N.

Yelp
This spot is beautiful. Free parking from what I'm aware. Near the mall, view of Queen Mary, boats docked in the water. Lighthouse as well. Beautiful sceneries overall. I take a week off working out every 10 weeks of dedication. So I went here to get my steps in (10K within 1 hr 27 min = 4 ish miles).

Yelp
How can one reach 10k-step goal in a day? Take a ride down to Shoreline, park, then go for a brisk walk. Husband and I love coming out here for a walk after brunch. Great way to soak the sun (need that vitamin D!) and see all the views of the shoreline. You can walk and talk or just go up to the lighthouse and chill. There is a walkway along the shoreline where you can enjoy the skyline of Long Beach. Here you will see the large cruise ships, the container terminals, little duckies in the water... There are many trees along the way. Bring a blanket and enjoy some shade under one of them. You can also enjoy a cold drink along the boardwalk after your walk (yes I always find an excuse for a snack) Or bring a water bottle because you will easily spend an hour plus just wandering. Enjoy!

Yelp
Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. You get sunshine, fresh air, boats, water, and the city as your backdrop. Walk up to the light tower for a panoramic view. They have scooters and bikes you can rent. We spent the most beautiful day here people watching, rolling down the hill, foot race, and even made flower necklaces like we did in grade school. My godson made me make ten so he could give them out to all the women in his life (grandma, aunts, mama, etc.). He collected flowers and made me sit there until he had one for everyone. He also made me roll down the hill (not as easy as it looks). We snacked on gold fishes and dum dums. The boys did NOT want to leave but we had lunch reservations. It was the most wonderful day and it cost next to nothing.

Yelp
wuts not 2 like bout this place (perhaps da smelly water) it boasts beautiful scenery, both day & nite, its fairly well kept, has a variety of attractions such as AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC, theres a ferris wheel & swan boat ride, variety of restaurants/shops, nice boardwalk, e-scooters, etc i try 2 visit on a regular basis (2X a month)

Yelp
It is a city park on Queensway Bay near downtown Long Beach, where a sandy beach occupies the north side of the park on Rainbow Harbor, and it terminates at a protective rocky shoreline. At the center of the park on a grassy hill is a tall lighthouse tower with a paved spiral walkway leading to it. The park, during day and night, has amazing views of the Queen Mary, the Long Beach skyline, and the Aquarium.
google avatar

Tanja N.

Yelp
Such a quaint park just a minutes from restaurants, Ferris wheel, aquarium and shopping. It is beautifully nestled overviewing the major attractions: colorful Rainbow Harbor, The Queen Mary and The Downtown that comes really alive with sunset. Mornings and nights are very special, so if staying in a town for a whole day, try to make it to this park around sunrise and sunset because lights on the Lions Lighthouse create one of a kind mood.

Yelp
I love this low key strip of land! It's located in the backlots of shoreline as you drive past the aquarium & around the small traffic circle. There you'll find an equally small parking lot. Leave your ride there and enjoy what LBC has to offer. This is where Pine, LB Convention Center, The Pike, Shoreline Village, and that little aquarium promenade collide. Now, I've been here when it wasn't super poppin which was really relaxing. Parking wasn't horrible and the vibe always serene. A few years go by and there was a boom in activity with all the "festivals" and PokémonGo craze. I don't blame the uptick, it's a nice little place to casually walk around and gaze at all the stuff happening in the area. Stare off in the distance, lounge on the hill near the lighthouse, watch someone reel in a fish, or daydream about laying out in a cabana at the Maya Hotel. Love coming here & its close proximity to everything downtown.

Yelp
Got here biking with a friend up the bike path along the coast. There's a beautiful lighthouse on the park. It's a great spot for walking your dog in the afternoons, as there are not a lot of people. You get views of the harbor, and into the ocean. Would highly recommend coming by during the golden hour.
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
Nice little area beside the aquarium. Hubby and I decided to stroll around here with his sister after we visited the aquarium. Honestly a nice area. You can walk up to the lighthouse and look over the bay. I think you can see the Queen Mary from here too, which is pretty cool. There are a couple of restaurants and it's across from The Pike if you wanted to do some shopping. Definitely a nice spot and shouldn't be missed if you are in the area.

Yelp
A beautiful park in Long Beach! I had seen photos of this place and I wanted to see everything in real life. We walked towards the lighthouse to get a better view. Along the way, we saw The Queen Mary (ship)... awesome! There were cool sculptures and informational displays, but I felt pressured to leave because the parking lot had some kind of payment system. I couldn't figure it out, so we cut our visit short and went on to our next adventure. Some day, we shall return!

Yelp
If you want to take a walk by the ocean. But don't want to deal with the sand of the beach this is a great park for you. Shoreline Park has great parking and has several seating areas. You do have to pay for parking so make sure you read the instructions. You can get your steps in after enjoying a picnic or meal. Shoreline Park is freeway accessible and good spots for photos of the ocean or shoreline village as a backdrop. The park should increase maintenance rounds. While walking our dogs some areas appeared to be over watered but not flooded, maybe due to a broken speaker.
google avatar

TaNeisha J.

Yelp
Beautiful park! The greenery here is amazing with great views of the water. You're able to see the Queen Mary too. Shoreline Park is definitely family-oriented. You'll notice families and couples enjoying time. The park is near shops and outlets. So grab some food, have a picnic and flick away pics with the beautiful scenery!

Yelp
Receives a free GA ticket to this wonderful New Blues Festival featuring some of the greatest artists in the genre such as Tito Jackson. Really enjoyed my time here at the concert, thank you

Yelp
A Beautiful park and grounds with the lion's sight lighthouse, well maintained and very nice lawn areas. Lots of shady spots under the trees and plenty of places on the lawn to throw out a blanket and claim a spot to chill, relax and check out everything. The walk up to the lighthouse is a gentle slope up and spirals its way around up to the structure. The lighthouse area offers information about the park as well as Long Beach back in the day when it was considered a top tourist destination. As well it offers a spectacular view of the harbor, the Queen Mary and the surrounding area. This park is in the middle of several cool attractions, from big charter boats to small water craft, the Aquarium, shopping, restaurants and the water taxi. There are benches along with several spots to sit and enjoy the day or evening. Check it out when you're in the area. 3.5 Stars - rounded up for the cool spiral of walkway up to the lighthouse. 00484

Yelp
One of the main attractions in Long Beach. Pretty scenery. Nice area to take a stroll. The water is nice to look at. The lighthouse area has benches, which are pleasant to sit on. Great date place, and there are many restaurants and an aquarium nearby. Catch a romantic sunset here, or have a photoshoot here. Whatever you do, this is a nice place to chill and pass time.
google avatar

Yelp
This is where my friends like to go for Pokemon Go. It was kind of nice getting out of the house and just walk. During the pandemic, definitely wear your mask and social distance. We can at least do that even though you're much, much safer being at home. The scenery is nice and it seems like a date-thing to do pre-COVID. I like walking around the lighthouse and walking around the park where it is kind of fun people watching. The aquarium is around there you could walk towards Downtown Long Beach passing by The Pike for shops, restaurants, snacks, and there is a Ferris wheel. You're also just fine chilling at the park where there are lots of families. Staying a distance from everyone was mostly alright.

Yelp
Shoreline Aquatic Park is a great, free, public park located just south of downtown Long Beach right on Queensway Bay at the southern tip of the Los Angeles River. There's a beach, though not designed for swimming, plenty of sand and green space, palm trees, a lighthouse, and terrific, wide-sweeping views of the bay, Rainbow Harbor, the historic RMS Queen Mary, and the Pacific Ocean. It's clean, safe, and beautiful. Not much more you can ask for from a city park. It's small at roughly 9 acres and aside from picnic tables and benches, there's not a whole lot inside. There's no children's playground, fountain, or anything like that. There is, however, a lighthouse on top of a hill. It's called the Lions Lighthouse for Sight (not to be confused with nearby Parkers' Lighthouse). An inclined, spiraling, paved walkway leads up to it. There are two piers on the south side of the park which are fantastic if you want better views of the water. I like the wide, palm tree-lined central walkway, as well as the wooden walkway that gently weaves its way through the park's sandy and rocky beach garden. Overall, this is a nice place for a casual walk/stroll, jog/run, bike, or picnic. It's also ideal for pets. The grounds are nicely groomed and well maintained. The sidewalks are free of trash and debris and the grass is trimmed and green. The white light poles make the park feel modern. Public restrooms are available on-site as is a pay parking lot which can be accessed via Aquarium Way. Aquarium of the Pacific is right next door and the Pike Outlets and numerous other shops and restaurants are within walking distance. If you're in the area, Shoreline Aquatic Park is worth checking out. If you want to see a live HD feed of the park (and adjacent Rainbow Harbor), visit http://hdontap.com/index.php/video/stream/long-beach-harbor-live. Hopefully, the web site and cameras will still be active by the time you read this review.

Yelp
Sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. What better place than nature and a scenic park? Shoreline Park in Long Beach (directly behind the Aquarium of the Pacific) is a solution to your need for sanctuary. While not a home to roses; it will certainly bring a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). Shoreline Park is the perfect combination of intimacy that comes with a local park mixed with an elevated accent of touristy beach spot. Nestled behind the Aquarium in a small harbor; Shoreline Park features a boardwalk-type path curving around docked boats (private ones and whale-watching ones), through a hilly, grassy knoll featuring a lighthouse, and towards a small wharf area with a restaurant (named The Lighthouse) and small shops. Head the other way and you come upon rocky jetties and can see across the harbor to the docked Queen Mary. Shoreline Park is quite well maintained with palm trees, benches, and very little trash littering the area. The views at Shoreline Park are pretty great. Whether wanting to watch boats, stare at the creepy Queen Mary, or take selfies with the lighthouse; there is an angle for everyone. The great thing about the park is that it caters to all needs. If you are a large, boisterous crowd seeking open space to hang out: the park is at your service. Perhaps you are on a date and want to take a romantic walk. Look no further than Shoreline Park! Or maybe you simply want to de-stress or read a book and enjoy some alone time. Again: look no further than Shoreline Park. Now, I must mention that Shoreline Park isn't akin to Venice Beach or the Santa Monica Pier but it certainly has elements of the beach setting mixed with a beautiful place to a picnic. And hey: it's free so you can't beat a cute spot that won't cost you a dime! One small note: it tends to be quite breezy here due to the water so bring a light jacket if you get cold easily. Or bring a kite as this is probably the ideal site for that. Shoreline Park is perfect for locals to hang out or for tourists visiting the Aquarium to take a stroll. Great views and with a comfortable vibe; you can't go wrong!

Yelp
Sailed by Shoreline Park and the lighthouse. Very amazing site to see from the ocean. Definitely will stop by the actual park the next time I am in Long Beach. Beautiful during a sunny California day.

Yelp
I can't even describe how beautiful and peaceful this park is. If you're in the mood for a run, want to walk your dog , hang out with friends and family, have a picnic, have a photoshoot, or simply just go watch the sunset this is the best park to do all those things. Before moving to Long Beach I wasn't expecting to love it so much but after exploring , I started to like it more. I live near all the tourist places and this park is a must. I feel so much peace when I walk around especially on a sunny day. If you're looking for a relaxed date or family day come here you won't be disappointed. The park has a 360 view of downtown Long Beach and there's nothing else that can make it better. I know they have events during summer but aside from that I want to say that this park is clean and also has restrooms. This place offers parking but it charges you per minute.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Situated adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific, the park offers postcard views of the waterfront, and is just basically a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon. After touring the Aquarium, my friend wanted to get a closer view of the lighthouse that's located at the park's vantage point. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the park is clean, well kept, and offers stunning views of the surrounding waterfront and Queen Mary. I'd say this would be an ideal place to uwnind after shopping or dining at the nearby Pike at Rainbow Harbor, or completing your tour of the Aquarium of the Pacific. Bottom Line: A clean and beautiful park with picturesque views.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Beautiful, scenic area to go for a walk, have a picnic, or just chill and enjoy the view! My friends and I decided to have a little birthday "picnic" on the grass by laying out some mats and beach towels. The weather was PERFECT - warm but with a cool breeze coming from the waters. It was a Saturday afternoon in the 1st week of August, and the park wasn't very crowded. There were plenty of picnic tables or shaded grassy areas to relax at and look out at the Queen Mary on the waters. There's restrooms and even a small store nearby to buy snacks or fishing gear if you forgot to bring your own!

Yelp
Very nice spot to stop with the family for some good history. We enjoy learning about new things and always love a good lesson.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and relax. I came here with my best friend the other day around 8pm. We parked in the parking lot next to the light house. It was about $3 for 2 hours. We paid for it because we didn't want to risk it. I believe it's monitored everyday from 8am-12am? But who knows? Haha. Anyways, we brought hot cheetos with us to eat and talk. We sat on the bench at the light house. It was nice. I love the view! Such pretty lights of downtown long beach. It's a great place to just walk around and think about life. There's a lot of restaurants nearby with a few of shopping places such as Hooters, Bubba Gump, Yard House, Forever 21, Nike, H&M, and many others!! Just stop by and be careful with the parking situation. I will definitely come back here!
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect place to go for a walk, jog or just sit and enjoy the fresh are and great surroundings. Actual went there to park and work outside last Friday. It was a beautiful day and since I work remotely it gave me a better view the my home office
google avatar

Lizelle P.

Yelp
Beautiful setting for a quiet stroll along the marina. There are benches dotted along the walk if you prefer to be seated and watch the boats. There is a lighthouse at the top of a hill and it's a pleasant walk too. And makes for stunning photos! There is no kids playground. There are a few restaurants and bars close by if you feel peckish. We parked across the road at the Pike shopping structure.

Yelp
How has no one mentioned Pokemon on Shoreline Park's Yelp page? This is one of the best places around if you want to catch 'em all. Surely I'm not the only person who's psycho about both Yelp and Pokemon Go? I came to Shoreline Park with my mom and brother for a Thursday night family Pokemon outing. We'd heard great things about the catching at the Pike, and I guess Shoreline Park is at the heart of the action. We drove down from LA and got to Long Beach around 9:00, and stayed until 1:30 in the morning. Parking was easy, in a nearby lot, even though there were tons of people around. Even if you're not a Pokemon-obsessed weirdo, I'd recommend checking out this park at night. I'd never been before, and it's really beautiful, with a lighthouse and a looping path that takes you out over the water. My only complaint is that the sprinklers are crazy, but the wet zones are easy enough to avoid. The views are gorgeous--this is convention center Long Beach, with the aquarium and the big hotels and the Gladstone's, but it looks absolutely lovely at the night. The crowd of nerds is also worth a visit, not only for cultural reasons, but because it makes the late-night park feel very safe. There was still a strong crowd when we left, and I've heard it doesn't dissipate until like 3. Also, lots of vendors selling snacks and drinks for the trainers, at prices much less marked up than at, say, the Santa Monica Pier. My brother had a bacon-wrapped hot dog. We caught something like 250 Pokemon--I got enough Shellders, Slowpokes, and Magnemites to evolve, as well as some Dratini, several Squirtles and a fish tank of Magikarps; the crowd chased a Porygon and a couple Grimers. It was a glorious night, well worth the drive from L.A., and I'm itching to get back. If I were local, I might even visit Shoreline Park during the day--it seems like a nice park, and I'll bet the catching is still solid.

Yelp
It's an awesome place to spend the day with the kids. The improvements from the 70s is amazing. I used tO frequent the piike as a young kid tto my late teens till it started as permanently removeD. The only issue I have is the trash in GE bay. They had a trial rash symphonies for a while but that disappeared and the trash returned. With the money made the city should have some effort going to clean the waters. Hopefully someday they will.

Visited the Aquarium of the Pacific and took a stroll around the area to this park after. We parked at the closest structure. It costs $8 with validation from the nearby shopping outlets or the aquarium. Just don't forget before you leave! It's a very nice little park with a bit of everything. It's just a few minutes walk from the aquarium and you see a nice view of the water, palm trees, green grass, and a lighthouse at the top. Once you reach the lighthouse, you can walk down the other side where there is a bike path and a small overlook that peers over the water. It's beautiful during the day and we were fortunate enough to catch the sunset. This park is a nice place to bring a blanket and relax somewhere in the shade or even have a picnic before or after the aquarium. Great place for photos with family as well. Apparently, it's also a very popular place for catching Pokemon, since we saw many people with their Pokemon shirts and app open. Someone's review says that the lighthouse changes colors at night and that's definitely something I want to see!

Yelp
Quite honestly, we come here for the Pokémon Go action. There are 10+stops here and every one of them has a lure! Tons of Magikarp, Jigglypuff, Vulpix, and Magnemites show up. Be careful when you play here at night since there is a mob mentality and you can get trampled easily. There are a few business savvy people here selling snacks, hot dogs, (be careful and make sure they cook them thoroughly!!!), and other Pokémon wares. It's fun. People share where certain characters are and how long they are around for. We go with the kids since they love rolling down the hill where the lighthouse is. Plus you can't beat the view of the Queen Mary at night! Overall, a fun place for family to hang out and 'Catch 'Em All'!!!

Yelp
A fun place to bring the family. A little bit of everything in regards to shopping, food, ice cream, coffee, games, people watching.. I took a run earlier in the morning and ran through this area where I saw it being pressure washed, the patios being cleaned, and wiped. Everything looked immaculately clean. This afternoon was filled with visitors and the friendly faces from all the restraints and stores.

Yelp
Shoreline Park is a spit of land surrounding Rainbow Harbor. It is right next to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and its most striking feature is the lighthouse on top of the hill. Despite the quaintness of the lighthouse, it is not historic. The entire park is a recent creation, made by filling in the harbor in the 1990s. I think the nearby Golden Shores wetlands were created because of the destruction caused by this filling. A windy path leads through this park. Most people hang out on the grass, or fish on the ocean-side end of the peninsular park, where you can gaze at the Queen Mary. On the side facing Rainbow Harbor, you get breathtaking views of the Long Beach skyline, and watch the ships ply in and out, including some very fanciful-looking boats. This part of the park also sports a restored dune habitat. The area is sandy, but you can walk on a pretty wooden boardwalk through tiny clusters of native vegetation, including coyote bush, buckwheats, and other shrubs. Beautiful wildflowers grow under these shrubs, and egrets and other waterfowl hang out on the rocks below. Interpretive signs along the path tell you about the natural and cultural history of the area. Some signs tell you to look for sea slugs and other critters in Rainbow Harbor. But that advice is too optimistic--the harbor is so heavily polluted with litter, grime, and oil that you can't really see in the water. The proximity to the Aquarium and Shoreline Village mean that this park is typically crawling with tourists.

Yelp
I love this area of Long Beach. If you're a runner, jogger, walkers, skater, biker, or any other 'er, this is a nice place to go. Safe, lots of people watching, good vibe.

Yelp
A gem of Long Beach is Shoreline Village and this wonderful park. It is a great place to have a stroll and get some vitamin D and fresh air. Perfect for family, a date, or just hanging out with your best friends. During my most recent trip, I took my parents and their friends here and they loved it. We parked in the parking structure across from The Pike and near the aquarium and it is free (WITH VALIDATION) for the first 90 minutes. I didn't know and had to pay $5.50 for only less than an hour so definitely try to get validation! I love all the palm trees and the view is beautiful. Make a trip up to the lighthouse if you can. And if you have more time, rent a bike and bike down along the coast of Long Beach. Up at the lighthouse, there are benches all around for you to sit and enjoy the view. And since it is on a hill, it is a great place to relax on the grass or have your little ones run around or even roll down the hill! There are lots of restaurants around this area so check them out if you are already here.

Yelp
It's a nice area. The park around the lighthouse is well kept. The Aquarium of the Pacific is there along with a bunch of restaurants nearby. This place gets PACKED during the weekends and to a lesser extent in the evenings because there are a lot Pokémon stops here. I used to ride my bicycle to the lighthouse in the evenings when I do my 30 mile circuit but no more because there are too many people who don't pay attention and stands right in the middle of the bike path (albeit is only the last few yards of the bike path). It's a nice place to visit if you don't mind the Pokémon people in the weekends.

Yelp
Best place at night to have a 360 degree view of downtown and the Queen Mary. It's my half way mark when biking or running. I've been coming here for years and it only gets more and more beautiful. Great place to take pics and just chill as well. It's also a great place for all of you Pokémon hunters.
