My husband and I held a private party here the night before our wedding and overall had a great experience. The two of us live in Chicago so coordinating the event with the F10 team, I wanted to work through all the details to ensure a smooth event.
PROS: The food and drinks were above my expectations and the team did a great job with keeping everyone fed and with drinks in hand. Erica the bartender was fantastic and really enjoyed her espresso martinis. Also Roston the Manager was beyond accommodating and helped with every ask along the way. Our guests raved about the venue and their overall experience. The campfire was cozy and the indoor area was comfortable for our group of 45 guests.
CONS: I worked with Brittany and Casey from F10 (their Catering Company) and both were easy to work with and informative. On the day of the event, my husband and I dropped off a few small decor items (flowers, vases, guest book items, etc.). We spoke with the Manager, Amanda, to see if we could set-up early ahead of the event since we did not have any local family or friends to help. She asked for us to leave our belongings and she would set everything up (a great relief being a busy bride on the day before the wedding). However, when I arrived with my guests for the event the room was closed and nothing had been set-up. All the decor was still packaged on top of the bar. We had 40+ guests waiting at the front desk, and I was frantic to set-up everything prior to arrival. The guest book table was not set-up either. In addition, I had communicated multiple times that we had a playlist and confirmed we could play our own music during the event. Setting up took about 10-15 minutes out of our event time which we spent $7K on and we really would have appreciated the event being set-up as promised by Amanda ahead of the event.
When we arrived, another Manager said we needed to send in the playlist. Being a painfully type A bride, I knew this was never communicated and had even checked my prior emails but it was never mentioned. Would have sent the playlist or booked a DJ had we known they wouldn’t be able to play our music the night of. Overall Brittany and Casey with F10 were very kind and helpful, the staff was excellent, but the communication between F10 and management needs improvement.
