Roshan and Sam are the greatest in the world at what they do. From the moment I walked in they treated me as if I was family. A level of service that is second to none. After getting a suit from Sam’s Tailor it’s hard to justify buying ready-to-wear from a high street brand. For the same price, you get much better quality and something tailored to your figure. Sam’s was also able to meet our many customization requests eg double darts, high turn ups, peak lapel, and personalized lining, to adopt a more Italian style of tailoring. (We are fussy customers!) And they were able to meet a rushed timeline and iterated with us before we left Hong Kong. Thank you Roshan and team!

People may not realize the level of professionalism and craftsmanship in this shop. I arrived on Saturday and left on Tuesday, I hit them up randomly and they immediately welcomed me. We went through material selection and measurement, had a second checkpoint the morning after (SUNDAY!) at 10am, made limited adjustment and by Tuesday PM I had an absolute banger of a suit. Fits perfectly, looks incredible, and on top of that Roshan is an incredible human being. Will buy all my suits from him going forward.

Roshan fitted me for sport coats, slacks and shirts in the shop on Nathan Road. They all fit just great. Just recently, I ordered a blue blazer via email and received it within 2 weeks. They provide you with code # for ordering again. They may ask you to come back to check fit of your garment more than once and it is part of the process. The shop is a fairly short walk up Nathan Road from the Peninsula Hotel. Great people and a fun experience! Since my last visit, I ordered sport coat (using number from previous purchase ref measurements) online and it went fine. Just this week, I traveled to Hong Kong again. One of the first things was to reach out to Roshan to arrange visit. He updated my measurements and made some creative recommendations. After a couple days, I visited again and overwhelmed with the look he created and how well the coats fit. The coats are excellent and far better than what I could find at home. Lastly, he adds a lot of nice touches like interior pockets and special buttons. The quality of their work is superb and the customer service is second to none. Thanks!

I had walked in to check out Sam's Tailor when I was in Hong Kong. I had no idea of Roshan's online following. I just really liked his suits that he made for Jon Hamm, and a couple formal interviews he had given for news outlets that ended up online. What impressed me, was that he wasn't trying to be like a British atelier or traditional. The shop was more concerned about self expression and having fun (find the suit he made for Jon Hamm) . Endless linnings at your disposal, as well as styles. I ended up ordering a basic black suit, on purpose. But still ended up with some signature details: modern slim peak lapel, hand pick stitching on the lapel, and slight roped shoulders. . Details you really appreciate after you walk through a department store and realize those details are something you can only get when you order custom. It's a nice subtle flex without being obnoxious. The suit fit great, with the tailored custom shirts to match. I was so impressed I ended up ordering another one. This time decided to have a little more fun with color accents. When I got back from my trip, I did a deep dive and realized I barely scratched the surface of the options that were available. After I received the 2nd suit Navy with aqua blue accents and loved it (pictured in the review). I had to order a 3rd and "Let Roshan Cook". I ended up getting the light grey suit pictured in the review. Roshan consulted personally on this one, and since it was my 3rd suit I was down to try new things: gauntlet cuffs, contrast buttons, compact 3 roll 2 (Sam's Tailor exclusive), and double accent lapel button holes. The suit turned out amazing. These people make suits for celebrities and political figures from all over the world. Don't be afraid to go with their recommendations. Overall it was a great experience, Roshan really means what he says that he will always be available for your questions about suits and style advice. Shout out to Manu Melwani (Roshan's dad), Mira, Durgee, and the rest of the staff. I had a great experience with everyone I interacted with. If you go don't be afraid to have fun with the small details.

I have been told by the Canadian Born Chinese (CBC) that there is this famous tailor that we must visit when we are in Hong Kong, so when there is suddenly a party to go to in 4 days and the CBC has nothing to wear, we ran as fast as we would to Sam’s tailor to get something made in time. They said yes, took the measurements and took our money. At that point we were still doubtful if this is too good to be true, but when grandpa wanted the same the next day, we visited before they are officially open and guess what? It is ready for the party and the suits are all looking fantastic. Not just that but their service is great and they can call you by your first name on your second visit. Now that they have the measurements, I look forward to ordering more stuff when we have the next big event to attend - hopefully very soon! Thank you again for making the magic happen in the little time you had, it had been a wonderful experience.

Had a 10/10 experience as soon as I walked in the store. The picking of the fabrics/design, the initial fitting, and the final fitting were all easy and fun. The suit itself looked incredible, love the color and the small details in the final product. Definetly recommend and I'll hopefully be back 👍

All I can say is don’t believe everything that is on social media… Sam is only nice and willing to take a pic/ do videos with you when you give him business to do. Got a suit and still got scolded by him when I asked for a picture- travelled from UK to see him just to be utterly disappointed by the hospitality. Not sure if this is the way to treat customers. Suit quality was also sub par- alot of corners were cut.
