"Open for: Lunch and dinner Price range: $$$ This is the type of restaurant that makes everyone wish they were a regular, coming in for dinner every week and leaving in the wee hours. It offers the epitome of elevated comfort food: so-called “faux” ravioli stuffed with txangurro (king crab), marinated oysters, bone marrow with a side of sirloin, and wine — lots of wine. And if you spot owner Sacha Hormaechea greeting guests, make sure to shake his hand. He’s quite the character. Must-try dish: Order the famous tortilla vaga, a “lazy” tortilla de patata that skips the flip on the pan, usually served here with piparras and chorizo." - Paula Móvil

"It doesn't get more classic than Sacha, an old-school Spanish restaurant that was originally started by a couple who named the place after their only son. As luck would have it, Sacha is now the head chef and proprietor, helming a menu that's become a staple for Madrid foodies. The offerings here change seasonally, but the selection always has its foundation in traditional Spanish cuisine, serving locally caught seafood, bold meat dishes, and classic tapas prepared using fresh, simple ingredients. It never disappoints."

"Sacha, a twinkly candlelit bistro blissfully removed from the busy center, is the ultimate date-night spot with dim lighting and white tablecloths. At first glance, the menu seems simple—early-spring options might include cardoons with salt cod, lamb chops with garlic shoots, or, plainly, lentils. But don't be fooled: The execution is consistently flawless. Don't miss house specialties like the decadent faux lasagna layered with uni. Strike up a conversation with Sacha, the larger-than-life owner, and you might never leave. He and his staff make you feel like you're at an intimate dinner party among friends." - Benjamin Kemper

Quaint restaurant inside a garden in the middle of the block. Once inside you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The service is very professional and the table is pristine. After we ordered our food. We looked around us and absorbed the history on the walls and decorations. The food came 15 mins later and we all enjoyed all the plates. The soft omelette was easily one of the best we’ve had in Madrid. The steak was really good too. Lamb chops, fish with prawns, garlic soup, and ravioli was good. Overall this was one of best lunches in Madrid as we were fortunate to get reservations. Don’t skip on this restaurant.

We took a 30 minute Uber ride to dine here and what a great decision. Clearly we were dining in a restaurant where everyone knew everyone. It was a little tricky to find, since it's on the first floor of an apartment building, but it was worth the effort on a rainy night. The food is superb. The menu is in Spanish, but they were nice enough to help us translate when Google failed us.

Our visit to Restaurante Sacha in Madrid was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to a recommendation from a chef friend. We were welcomed personally by Sacha himself, who is as warm and charismatic as the stories suggest. Without a formal menu in hand, he asked about our likes and dislikes and curated a personalized tasting menu paired with outstanding wines. Each dish was a masterpiece, but the standout was the sardine—unlike anything I’ve ever had. The Falsa Lasaña de Txangurro was also a revelation, with perfectly balanced flavors that left us speechless. The service, ambiance, and, most importantly, the food exceeded all expectations. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone visiting Madrid to experience Sacha. You won’t be disappointed, and, like us, you may find yourself with a new favorite restaurant in the city.

What a truly incredible dining experience! The staff and service are very attentive and top notch and the food was beyond excellent. We were able to get a lunch time reservation and enjoyed the omelette, entrecotte, and stingray. They were all delicious but the omelette and stingray were the star of the show. The omelette was perfectly cooked (just barely set) and the crispy potatoes balanced perfectly with the blood sausage and peppers, while the stingray was tender, rich, and so flavorful. The menu was only in Spanish but between some basic translating, reading other reviews, and some great suggestions from the staff we put together a great little menu. We’ll absolutely have to return on the next trip to Madrid!

10/10 meal! We had the False Lasagna, fried artichokes, omelet with blood sausage, lamb chops and the sting ray. Everything was insanely good. Really appreciated that the servers and kitchen adjusted the portions for sharing. We were a group of three and they split everything before hand so we were served our own plates of everything. A little out of the way as we were staying in Barrio Salamanca but totally worth it.

I was very skeptical before going. There is a lot of hype regarding this restaurant, and I’ve been disappointed by other establishments that have great reviews. So I went into this definitely glass half full. However, this quaint little building with misplaced and crooked picture frames is an absolute gem. Every single bite was the most perfect bite. Each plate highlights the ingredients and doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It has quality ingredients cooked to perfection. My only disappointment is that I went on my last night in Madrid; otherwise I would have gone again.

Sacha, an old-school Spanish restaurant that was originally started by a couple who named the place after their only son. it is an intimate bistro which is a favourite not just with locals but also with chefs from near and far, perhaps the finest accolade a restaurant can receive. The menu is only in Spanish which is a bit restrictive. The Steak tartar and the Lamp chops were the highlights of the dinner.

Absolutely love this dining experience. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They were so helpful with the menu and guiding us on what to pick. The food… ***chef’s kiss*** so good! If you get the mussels, save some bread to soak up the sauce and garlic. We loved everything.
