"The Lucky Penny Cafe, Trinity Bellwoods by Anthony Menecola. The Lucky Penny isn't your typical corner store. This Bellwoods gem has you covered at all times of day. Whether you're stocking up on dinner items or grabbing some ice cream on a sunny summer day, you'll be sure to find what you came for and a whole lot more."

My boyfriend bought me a bouquet of flowers from here and they were just beautiful. But what prompted me to write this review is that a week later, they’re still so beautiful! The second photo is a week later. I’m not sure what he paid for and what the price is compared to other florists but next time I am looking for flowers, I know where to go!

Great little place in a controversial neighborhood. They serve tasty coffee at a fair price. They have many convenient items in their terrific little store. It must be nice to only have to walk to the end of the block when you live nearby. Great little place.

Beta gem in the city. Winter or summer you'll get the best seasonal snack/bite here! Quirky little spot. Funky patio. Amazing fresh food!

Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. Convenient location and very friendly staff. I highly recommend the salmon bagel. We will be back!

Didn’t end up ordering but will be visiting to order next time! Their menu options look fantastic! Was spending the day at Bellwood’s and walked past, super close to the park.

Great paninis! Excellent quality bread, frozen foods (including bagels from St Urbain) and groceries. The coffee is very good and their outdoor seating is just awesome! Looks small but don't be fooled: it is packed with a wide selection of excellent food. This is the jewel of Trinity-Bellwoods park, IMHO.

The Lucky Penny has a good selection of sauces and little trinkets, which is enough to grant this review a two-star from a one-star. Aside from their selection on the shelf, I was not that impressed with store. I ordered a sandwich and iced coffee. The sandwich took a long time to get, even though it just had to be warmed on the panini press. The taste was bland, and I was surprised the staff weren’t able to put mustard on it, instead giving me the condiment in a plastic cup (which is surprising, as everywhere seems to be moving away from single-use plastics). My iced coffee had only a few ice cubes, and it was still warm when I received it. The coffee itself tasted like it had been sitting in the brew pot for a while. I ended up not finishing the coffee for this reason. Staff at this location weren’t very nice either. There’s very little seating options, and the chairs they haver outside don’t have any tables. If you decide to come here, get your food to go. There were a few novelty birthday cards I would go back for, but I won’t be getting anything to eat or drink while there. At least nothing that they make. It’s not worth the wait or hassle for a poorly made coffee or sandwich.

An amazing place to have a good coffee and some delicious food or great pastries after wandering through Trinity Bellwood. I would definitely recommend the Focaccia, its amazing, so is the bread. They also have great organic cheese and diary products in the fridge. The milkshakes and ice-cream is super yummy, too. I love to sit on the patio and watch the sparrows eating crumbles.
