This iconic movie theater shows many classics. It is a must for any discerning movie fan. I am grateful to have been able to see Ray, Ozu, and other masters at this theater.

Really beautiful and small art cinema. If you want to enjoy an old film check the website or go directly to the cinema. We enjoy My fair lady and get in love another time with Audrey Hepburn. Very confortable seats and good audio and image.

I'm an American who loves mid-century movie theaters. I absolutely had to see a film here while staying in St Germaine. My father and I caught a screening of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie and it was incredible. I felt so lucky to be able to sit down and catch a nighttime screening of a classic film in the middle of Paris. I can't begin to explain the chords that this experience struck in me, and I'm so grateful to have had the spur-of-the-moment chance to stop by. The photo my father and I took outside of the entrance is a treasure in and of itself.

Sweet, neighborhood haunt for cinephiles. Saw an American film by Jim Jarmusch, with French captions. So incredible to be sharing this experience with an appreciative French audience of all ages. Saw an elderly woman with significant mobility issues enter and leave alone, and then go off into the night in a cab — made me love Paris all the more.

I think it's great that this cinema, among many others in Paris, re-screens old films more than once. It only has a little issue of aeration, after 2 hours in the theater, the air becomes heavy, making it difficult to not think about a constant desire to breathe. The price of screenings is the most honest thing I've expetienced in Paris besides museums.

This theatre is not only a Parisian institution, it is also a Parisian tradition located in the 5th, in the midst of a half a dozen wonderful bookstores and coffee shops. If you are in Paris, check their website and book a movie if you can. They usually only show old movies of repute, and often have festivals of particular actors, directors, or themes. The tickets are really cheap too. If you book online is cheaper than on-site. The seats are very clean and comfortable...I am so sorry I discovered this place so late and it is located around the corner from my apartment.

Yelp
Great program of French classics and modern independent film, but the screen can be rather dim and it can get a bit warm in the Summer. Ideal for a Truffaut in Novermber.

Yelp
One of the best known and most popular art-house cinemas in Paris, an absolute MUST for the visitor and resident alike. The upstairs theater is more comfortable than the one downstairs one, but both are fine. Since it went digital you don't have to get up in the middle of the film to tell the projectionist that the film is off the screen or that it stopped working or that there was no sound. Those days seem to be over. Often have festivals of old films (Bergman, Welles, Godard). Highly recommended.
