Einstein Bros. Bagels is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Their ham and swiss or bacon sandwiches are hearty, flavorful, and make for a great breakfast on the go. The outdoor seating is a nice touch, with plenty of space for those looking for a bit of fresh air to enjoy their meal. The sign may be hard to spot, but just look for the umbrellas, and you’ll be golden. Their bagels are as good as it gets, and the variety of cream cheeses is enough to keep you coming back for more.

Food is decent. Tea is a little weak. Taking off 2 stars because you have to watch how much they charge you for items and if they are giving you back the correct change. Once I was charged for something extra that I didn't ask for which I believe was deliberate so they could get an extra dollar from me. When I pointed it out to the cashier she acted like overcharging me was no big deal. Another time, they cheated me out of some of my change. I let it go but I think it was deliberate. Food and service are okay but I don't like the culture of trying to get over on customers. I've seen them overcharge other customers for items as well.

Thank you Einstein’s for saving me this morning! I forgot to order breakfast ahead for our annual team work retreat & I walked in, had a dozen bagels sliced, fresh jug of orange juice made, with cups/plates/utensils/napkins provided— all within 10 minutes. Great option if you need bagels for a work meeting or event! Oh and only $39 with 2 things of cream cheese & selecting specialty bagels.

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time and always enjoyed their tasty food. Unfortunately, our recent visit was upsetting because of the behavior of one of the staff members, her name (Tamara) who was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She even raised her voice at my husband when he tried to politely explain the problem we had with our order. My husband could have responded the same way, but he remained calm and ignored her because he’s very respectful. But she continued to be impolite and refused to help us in resolving the problem, she didn't even want to listen!!! To make matters worse, we were given the wrong order and were even charged for it!!! When I politely told her that she should be nicer to people, she rudely told me to shut up. It was truly surprising and unexpected to see this kind of unprofessional behavior from a restaurant we previously thought was good. We won’t be going back there again. It's really disappointing when a place you trust lets you down. It's very important for a restaurant to hire nice staff who have good morals and are respectful to customers to keep its good reputation.

Great little place to get a quick breakfast. Ham & Swiss and Bacon sandwiches were very good. Outdoor eating area is nice and spacious. If you have any trouble finding it just look for the umbrellas, the sign isn't obvious unless you're looking right at it.

What can I say… I stopped by here for one of their amazing breakfast sandwiches and it did NOT disappoint. 2 eggs/cheese/bacon on a French toast bagel! ❤️🔥. The staff was very friendly & patient as I made my selection. I also picked up one of their apple bagels to snack on. What can I say.. so good! I give this place 5⭐️ Jerry(the pigeon) gives it 5.5⭐️ #JerryThePigeon on Instagram

Ordered a Salmon Lox bagel & Breakfast Bagel on jalapeño/cheddar bagel. Great food - enough filling, great size for what you get. Not stingy at all! Important to know, the jalapeño is slightly spicier than expected... but great for us! Not the most warm atmosphere or vibe, definitely a to-go type of place, but staff were welcoming and helpful and the order was super fast!

Since return to office, I've found myself at Einstein Bagels most mornings for a coffee and a hash brown, occasionally venturing out to bagels and other sandwiches. They have consistent quality and I know what you expect every time I order. The staff is friendly, and while they can be incredibly busy in the morning, the line is never too bad.

Yelp
I came here to pick up breakfast. I got the Santa Fe egg white sandwich with a French vanilla coffee. I ordered ahead on the app and my order was ready when I arrived. I like how you can modify what kind of egg you want on your sandwich. Don't forget to sign up for the birthday rewards program. You get a free sandwich with purchase.

Yelp
PLEASE for the love of God please stop putting sandwich bags on top of drinks in the to go area. When I picked up my order, my drink had spilt and the lid was flooded which is fine, but my sandwich bag was placed on top of the lid/drink. The bottom of my bag was soaked. I couldn't leave a review on their website because I received the receipt with the code torn off

Yelp
This is one of a few places that survived after The COVID-19 Pandemic. I stopped by to get a ham and swiss sandwich. The sandwiches are now only offered on bagels-no buns. Also the sandwiches used to come with a pickle. Not so anymore. While the bagel was adequate-the sandwich and restaurant options were drastically not up to par with my previous experiences prior to COVID-19. There was only one flavor of potato chips-plain. I will say Kevin the teammate who assisted with the placement of my order was a 5 Star Team Member. After I received my order he walked me over to the self service condiment area-which was helpful. They do offer Doggie Beef Bagels which in itself is a fun option if you have a dog.

Yelp
Their workers are very friendly and efficient. Best Einstein location I've been to. Bagels are great as well.

Yelp
My review is based off the experience I had today, 7/9/24. I love Einstein Bagels along with their smoothies and recently started coming to this location. I had a strong craving for their strawberry-banana smoothie. I came in at 1:20 p.m. to be told by a young male sales associate that no credit cards could be accepted at that time. A little frustrated, I still decided to place an order and pay with the little cash I had on me. So I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and a six cheese bagel. The same male associate said, "oh, we are out of syrup to make the smoothie". By this time, I was beyond frustrated and told him, "you aren't taking credit cards and now I can't even get a smoothie? This is ridiculous!" to which the male associate said "don't take it out on me" I was shocked. I told him "my frustration has nothing to do with you, it has to do with me not being able to get what I want and pay the way I want. I should be able to be frustrated and not be told not to by you. He then asked me if I still wanted the bagel to which I replied "no" and left. This location missed out on a cash sale along with all the other customers who wanted to pay by credit but couldn't. Nobody really carries cash anymore so this was a real inconvenience. I was still willing to patronize until told of an additional issue along with being given poor customer service. Please improve your practices here.

Yelp
Normally they have it together, but it seems the regular manager left and they are now being run like a rude, indifferent, and unorganized. It took longer to get a mobile order than if I had walked it. Mainly because they are more concerned about the uber driver pick ups than anyone else. I get that the job is fast and hard, but to not even try to do it with some organization shows an indifference to the customers. It seems that they got ride of the manager that kept it together and now are rudderless and rude. As a follow up, to the Einstein's representative response that suggested I contact the company via their online link - I did. On the same day I posted the Yelp review. I haven't had a response. Robert, the Yelp response person or bot jumped up to suggest to the public that Einstein actually reviews their online comments and offers a timely reply to a customer's concerns. But, the evidence shows that a response is not actually provided. So here's the follow up review you asked for, it isn't what you wanted but it is a truthful outing of the whitewashing of concerns.

Yelp
Best bagels! Love their everything bagel with whipped cream cheese! This location is best as a walk up - no easy access to parking.

Shirley J.

Yelp
Einstein Bros. Bagels loves to spam my inbox with deals, but I was drawn in with the birthday one for a free egg sandwich with any purchase. They got me! If you go in the morning during the weekday, it's extremely busy with long lines. They're not open on the weekend anyway. If you want to skip the morning rush, it's better to go after 9:00am. The layout is set up where you pretty much get in line from the moment you walk in the restaurant. There are two separate lines during the morning rush, where one is for ordering and the other is for paying. There is adequate seating on the left, but I rarely see that area preoccupied. I think this location serves primarily take-out customers. I ordered the Asparagus, Mushroom, and Swiss Egg Sandwich but without the Swiss cheese. You may also order it with egg whites instead of a regular egg and choose any bagel for it. I chose Honey Wheat bagel. The sandwich is normally $4.99. They don't use any sauce or condiment. However, I enjoyed the sandwich because the mushroom, asparagus, and egg make a great combination with the bagel. Service is decent. The employees are nice and do their best to get your order fulfilled quickly. I just noticed a promotion email to get a free bagel and shmear each week for December. Ahh, I missed out on 3 weeks! Okay, I'm off tomorrow to redeem my free bagel and shmear.

Yelp
You'll live! TOAST the Bread/Bagel in any sandwiches that you choose...Otherwise, it's SOGGY. :-( Spotty WiFi. Crumbs on tables. OUTLET is hiding by the high table & chairs. Greasy aluminum foil used to wrap -wiches. By 9:30am, barely any HANDCRAFTED VANILLA HAZELNUT CREAM. Motel/Suburbia decor. New Home for CARIBOU COFFEE. Retail Beans available.

Jim M.

Yelp
A friend and I met at this Einstein Bros location in a busy area of downtown Chicago. Arrived there at shortly after noon. Keep in mind this location is open until 5pm, and advertises a large array of sandwiches made on bagels. The photo shows the choice of bagels available at just after noon. Asked one of the staff and she said "yes, it's usually like this". Meh.

Matthew D.

Yelp
The folks here are the rudest I have encountered in the city. The guy behind the counter is horrible and has 0 customer skills. Avoid this shop at all costs. It is an embarrassment to their chain.

Alex G.

Yelp
8:30 in the morning and you got 1 type of bagel (jalapeno)??????, If this shitty place wasn't in the building where i work - never would have stepped foot here agian

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Big props to whomever manages this location. Every time I come in, the crew is totally on their game. Fast, polite, efficient, organized. Makes my Monday mornings just a wee bit nicer. Really appreciate the team here and the management behind it. Signed, a former restaurant manager.

Marfield D.

Yelp
The app advertised curbside pickup. After waiting 7 minutes, calling inside the store several times. I needed up parking at my normal garage downtown and walking to the restaurant! My sandwich had been sitting for more that 20 minutes and the manager refused to give me a refund! Horrible customer service!

Kentonas J.

Yelp
Made an order on the 8/25/2025 for one bagel with egg. I didn't notice the total paid. My Bank statement showed almost $25.00 for one bagel with delivery. This really sucks that I didn't notice this while placing the order. Talk to the staff at Einstein Bagels, they all gave poor excuses of why the doordash delivery fees are excessive. Staff stated "not their problem". If I could only used doordash for delivery, then it's is their problem!!!

Mallory G.

Yelp
First timer here. Very clean restaurant. They have great wifi and personable staff. Menu is very clear. I tried the pizza bagel and really enjoyed it. I will definitely come back again.

Mark B.

Yelp
I stopped into Einstein's Bagels on a whim for lunch during the week and was pretty disappointed. Décor: It's a chain, so you know what you're getting into. Think of a Panera and that's pretty much the look/feel of this place. Bathroom: unknown Staff: Everyone was inviting and friendly. Food: I had a Tasty Turkey sandwich and was very unimpressed. The bagel itself was fine but the turkey was just regular old lunch meat and the "toppings" left much to be desired: a tomato slice, lettuce leaf, and some kind of schemer. It wasn't all that big of a sandwich either. I have had bagels (bought in bulk for the office) from here before and they were very tasty, perhaps stick to breakfast only? Value: The sandwich was not enjoyable and the portion was rather small... I do not feel as though I got my money's worth here. If you're looking for bagels in bulk, this is a good spot. If you're looking for lunch, look elsewhere.

Yelp
I have been to a handful of Einstein Bros locations and the food is always pretty solid and comes at a good price. Let me start by saying this particular location has great service. I tend to order the same thing at every location - a bagel with plain cream cheese and lox. At this particular location I recently went with my typical order - unfortunately I was disappointed to find a much smaller portion of lox on my bagel than I have grown to expect from the Einstein franchise. I don't think I will be hurrying back.

John F.

Yelp
I've stopped ordering from this location through GrubHub because 75% of the time my order comes to me incorrect. Even when stopping in the store, one has to be careful. For the second time they overcharged me; I caught it this time, but I shouldn't need to repeatedly correct them. Word of advice: go to the 400 N LaSalle location if you can. The always get it right.

Saddmun A.

Yelp
Great bagel shop! The prices are fair and they give you a good amount of food for a fair price. The inside of the shop is cozy with plenty of seating available as well. Be warned, it can get a bit busy in the morning, but the staff is quick and very friendly (they also have a great attitude which I really appreciate, especially in the morning on my way to work!) I also love that they have a large selection of bagels and unique bagel flavors that I haven't seen before. The lox bagel I ordered was good (I like the addition of capers -- great touch), but could've used a touch more salmon (especially for the price that you're paying for it). Overall, a solid stop and definitely worth stopping by.

V K.

Yelp
I've been to many an Einstein Bros in my life. This location is disappointing. Ordered a Bagel w/cream cheese. It would be cool if they included the cream cheese next time.

Amy O.

Yelp
I really like strong coffee. I really like flavored coffee. Einsteins coffee is pretty strong and they rotate good flavors. (The other nearby options are corner bakery for their great hazelnut and Au Bon Pain if you like weak flavored coffee). I am a jersey girl so these bagels are nothing like the chewy ones I grew up with, but I still enjoy a toasted garlic with reduced fat cream cheese and a slice of tomato. Einsteins has lots of interesting cream cheese choices but I guess I am a traditionalist at heart. Although this location is always busy in the morning, they run a pretty efficient ship. You order at one register and pay at another so by the time you pour your coffee, your name is being called.

Gabriela S.

Yelp
I've always like Einstein Bros bagels, but after today's experience I won't order anything from them anymore. Not only the order came incorrect, but also the bagel tasted like it was at least 1 day old. Do not make my mistake and don't order from them!

Tanaz P.

Yelp
Very good bagels outside NYC! And that is saying a lot. Good for a pick up for breakfast.

Gg N.

Yelp
How Have I missed this place!!?? I recently stopped to try their bagels and I got their Christmas brew coffee (cinnamon + other) Absolute delicious coffee!!! Not too weak not too strong ... an aromatic combination between tea and coffee! Now, I'm addicted to it! Apple cinnamon bagel was perfectly toasted with generous shmear and delivered right on my hand from a friendly employee! Made my day!

Eva S.

Yelp
At this location, I come here for one thing and one thing only: their Nova Lox Bagel. It is consistently good. You get your choice of bagel with Lox and cream cheese, and your choice of capers, tomatoes and sliced red onion. Get it with everything, and you'll find yourself with a filling meal for around $7. They serve it open-faced in a to-go box that is clear on top, which is a nice touch because the nice presentation trumps the fact that I stood in line, paid, and received it after hearing my name being called... all in less than 5 minutes. Kind of like Starbucks. It's all in the details: They give you two fat tomato slices on each half of the bagel, and ~two large rings of sweet red onion as well. Gobs of cream cheese, and generous with capers. Since each half is loaded with toppings, I feel like I'm eating two bagels. It's big enough to stretch out over two meals, if you're not too hungry (which is a question I always contemplate when eating at Chipotle). When I come here, I know my order and the way it'll turn out. Woot. It's also a plus that it's a step away from my office. Their service is quick, a little brisk, but efficient, considering their menu layout is a whirlwind; meandering around 20 signs, trying to find their schmear flavors and differentiating between a classic or signature bagel. With time... a regular customer would be able to get the gist. Einstein's has other offerings too, like breakfast sandwiches, coffee and even doggie bagels (!). These offerings can definitely be found elsewhere, for cheaper at or least comparable, save for the doggie treats but I wouldn't be sure :) Since I like their salmon, I'll have to try their salmon schmear next time. And fyi, the schmear flavors are posted on a little sign by the cashier.

Brian V.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and a roll on a super windy, rainy and cold Saturday. Looked like they had been cleaned out on selection. Not too impressed with the cleanliness of the place. The woman that took our order was nice and the service was prompt. Definitely prefer their coffee over Starbucks.

Amy H.

Yelp
Having had very little to eat last night at the Yelp party and way too much to drink at the after-Yelp party, I woke up this morning staarving! I think my grumbling tummy may have woken me up. On my way into work today, I stopped by the Einsteins for a bagel and a schmear. The bagel was not enough to satiate me so I came back for an egg white panini with turkey bacon. And then I came back for lunch and ordered a rueben sandwich. If you're doing the math: 3 stops in one day + 3 sandwiches X me = hungry, hungry hippo. The staff was nice, the location was clean (enough), and the food was average.

Joe T.

Yelp
No, they're not New York bagels. But they're still good. What do you expect, really? It's a chain. Therefore, the quality of the food is pretty much standard across the board. The customer service, however, varies wildly from location to location. What sets this location apart for me is the fact that everyone who works here is friendly. I never wait long for my breakfast bagel and I've never had a bad experience.

Tom S.

Yelp
Fast and fresh I still lament the loss of Jacob Bros. Bagels, but when a co-worker came by my desk with a handful of business card from Einstein Bagels new shop at Washington & LaSalle good for one free sandwich I thought, why not. What I really lament is the fact that it is next to impossible to find salt bagels in Chicago. Dude, I call H&H in New York every other week and order salt bagels, onion bagels, and bialy, along with a few containers of vegetable cream cheese. They overnight ship everything and I spend an hour slicing, individually wrapping and freezing them. Then I just need to pop 'em in the toaster in the morning and add a schmear. When my co-worker got the cards she asked after salt bagels for me. They assured her that they would carry them. Imagine my disappointment though when we went for our free sandwiches [+ $1 for my upgraded Florentine bagel] and was told that they in fact did not carry them. I told them they should and that I was having bagels fed-ex'd to me from New York. Then imagine my surprise when the manager said they could make salt bagels and just needed 1 day notice! Wow! Talk about accommodating! And the free sandwich was great too!

Brenden B.

Yelp
These bagels are carb-tastic! They don't have the biggest variety of bagels, but they ones they do have are fantastic. I'm that weird guy that doesn't like his bagel toasted. I like to bite into a big soft, chewy bagel...and this is the place to satisfy that craving. Their spreads are good too, I've had quite a few of them and have to say that my favorite as of now is the garden veggie. I haven't gotten any of their sandwiches or coffee (which I heard is really good). I will just continue to stick to my bagels. This location is always busy, but don't let the line out the door deceive you, as these employees are quick.

Israel S.

Yelp
Great bagels! Service is a little slow but not terrible. Did I mention good bagels? :-)

Michael K.

Yelp
I should start off by saying there should be a rating-star that lies between A-OK and Yay! I'm a fan. That's what I would rate it as. The bagels here are plentiful and certainly fresh! Their size is good too (if you're from NYC, you know what I mean). The only thing bad I would even think of saying about them is that the day I went in, the woman who took my order was rushing everyone and didn't greet one customer with a smile let alone a friendly attitude. I'm sure it had something to do with the morning crowd but still. Also the system they have for customers waiting on their orders is a little weird. I found myself just standing in the middle of the store not knowing where to stand in order to get my bagel. So, I guess my review would be go for the food, not the customer service. Did I mention their bagels are worth it?

Alyssa R.

Yelp
I love a place that offered up a dozen different type of bagels and cream cheeses. I walked in after the morning rush expecting there to be only one variety left.... and while the display case was a little bare the woman behind the counter offered up the point that there plenty more in the back. She then proceeded to make me a cinnamon sugar with strawberry cream cheese. Yummmm. It occurred to me after I ordered that I didn't say "lightly toasted" but I guess I didn't need to- the bagel was perfectly toasted with a nice schemer of cream cheese. and it was very tasty! Next time I come across an Einstein I'll definitely stop in.

Jen W.

Yelp
I became a fan of Einstein Bros Bagels while living in Shorewood WI. We lived in a small apartment on the Eastside of Milwaukee and parked our vehicle in the parking lot of an EBB. Every morning at 5:55 am we would need to walk down the street and move our cars to the street. Well, needless to say, we ended up eating there often. I rarely meet a carb I do not like and bagels are no different. The bagels at EBB are good. They are nothing to write home about, but they are better then any grocery store bakery bagel. There is a large selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches. I am always carb satisfied after eating at EBB. A bagel and schmear is a filling and affordable lunch.

Sarah B.

Yelp
In college, I used to buy a 1/2 dozen (sometimes a dozen) bagels and would then proceed to live off them for a week, with the occasional canned soup, free pizza or cafeteria salad thrown in for variety. If I didn't have a shrinking metabolism, I might still be on that diet. While I enjoy Einstein's bagels and its salads (one salad is often two meals), I have a big concern about this new location. Mainly, its service. The current set-up is inefficient. Customers place their order with a staff person who enters it electronically. You then move past the bagel display, attempting to avoid anyone who may be glued to the glass trying to figure out which bagel is calling them, to the register. This is all of 5 feet away. The person at the register says your name (because you've given it to the order-taker) and you pay them. At this point, your food may or may not be ready. If it's not ready, you stand awkwardly off to the side, attempting to avoid collision with staff and patrons alike. This is a gross misuse of technology. Does there need to be that first computer and staff person, registering your order? No! What's wrong with giving order to the food prep staff, and then continuing on to the cashier? The added cost of hiring someone to do nothing but take orders will more than likely be reflected by the price of the menu items. On top of all this, the first time I went, the order-taker got my order wrong, which I did not realize until I got to my office. The second time, a different order-taker WOULD have gotten my order wrong--I had to repeat 3 times that I wanted honey almond, not garden vegetable. I'm a quiet talker, but not that quiet. I wouldn't go back, if only I could kick this bagel addiction.

Vicki W.

Yelp
I try not to review chains, but Einstein on LaSalle deserves to be written about almost solely for the wonderful customer service. Even when I've had to wait longer for my order, I've never had a bad experience. Everything is done with a smile. The staff never gives you crap about any coupons, especially for free items (ex: the recent Facebook free bagel/shmear) like the way KFC did with the Oprah-grilled chicken fiasco. Some of my favorite items include the cinnamon sugar bagel poppers (they almost taste like doughnuts), anything toasted with butter, the asiago bagel, the pumpernickel, and the challah egg/bacon/cheese sandwich. I would suggest skipping the chocolate dipped chocolate chip bagel poppers as they sound and look better than they taste. Thank you Einstein for making my dash through the smelly alley and chicken crossing of LaSalle well worth the effort!

Mia P.

Yelp
I love Einstein bagels because they are so fresh. This particular location is on my route to work & every time I go in there it's always a long unnecessary wait. There is at least 2-3 employees fixing the orders of the customers but it seems it takes them forever to complete orders. They are either joking around or just taking their time. It will be greatly appreciated if they would focus on the service of the customers.

Elliott K.

Yelp
This place is all right. I feel the bagels are a little overpriced for such a small item that does not fill one up, but it's the only place around that I feel isn't consistently terrible. I like the large variety of bagel choices and the potato bagel is definitely my favourite. Their service is generally quick and I have never had problems with it. Their seasonal stuff for pumpkins is quite good.

Tim K.

Yelp
Ordered two bagels. Baskets were not clearly labeled, so I did not get the one I thought I asked for. Told the cashier twice that I had two bagels, she charged me for three. I pointed it out and she said, "I'll fix it but you have to wait for the manager". There were like 6+ people waiting behind me so I said "this is a waist of my time" and walked out. Then I read a message on my receipt saying 13 bagels for $6 on Monday! Wow! I could have paid additional $1 + tax and 11 more bagels. WORST EXPERIENCE, NEVER EATING AT EINSTEINS AGAIN

Rebecca C.

Yelp
For a relatively inexpensive and tasty Loop lunch, EBB has extended its craft and its overall charm, making itself better in the bagel department. Having not been to any EBB since high school, I wasn't sure what to expect. Was it just another Panera Bread or a Corner Bakery. My friend and I surprisingly found it better. She had their pumpkin bagel with a shmear which she said was the best pumpkin bagel she's ever had. I thought the warm chicken with roasted artichokes, spinach, mozzarella & asiago cheeses, garlic & herb shmear sammy on a spinach Florentine bagel was super yummy and filling. The sammy comes with either fresh fruit, potato chips or potato salad - a portion which is a decent size, too. The potato salad was suggested so that's what I tried. Not mayonnaise laden at all, it was a very good accompaniment. They have a nice outside area which was perfect. There were about 10 other interesting sandwiches which I'd like to try, and their bagel selection is wonderful in NY bagel style freshness, aroma & taste. I'd like to stop back and get a dozen bagels and shmear for home.

Ali F.

Yelp
I've ordered catering from this location twice. Everyone in the office raved about how good everything was. I ordered the bagels w/lox, fresh fruit, sweet tray w/ muffins, coffee cake and 6 brownies which were free because of a summer special. The lox are served on a bed of lettuce w/ tomato slices, cucumber slices, red onion slices, lemon slices, capers on the side and your choice of shmeers, all delivered before 8:30 a.m. I'm so glad I have now found somewhere to order breakfast for the staff.

Emily K.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bagel and chai. Ordered the onion bagel with chive and onion cream cheese. The bagel was perfectly toasted and delicious. The chai was a little bland but I really enjoyed that it was not molten lava when I tried drinking it.

Ronnie Y.

Yelp
How does one find a really bad bagel??? Oh, wait... Einstein Bros Bagels has that covered. The Everything bagel really didn't have everything on it. The bread didn't even have a quality consistency and no everything sprinkles on the bottom. The coffee is hot water with brown color in it, and while I did not choose decaf, it sure tastes like decaf. The clerks were friendly, not fast, but friendly (which is why I am giving them two stars)... They take your name and call you when your order is ready, only they confused my order with another customer's... She didn't seem very happy. Oh well, I don't think there is a fix for the bagel recipe. However, if you prefer a savory doughnut with cream cheese, this might be your paradise!

Yelp
First time trying Einstein Bagels and I'm not positive on which location I tried but it was one in Downtown Chicago. My breakfast bagel was awesome. I'll definitely be stoppin' in next time I run into one.

Yelp
Not sure what is going on lately with this location but they've commonly been out of popular bagels like everything and onion. There is also a lot of disorganization among the staff that causes delays and frustration. Perhaps new management is required?

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of the gourmet bagels -- especially the spinach florentine and apple cinnamon. But besides the amazing bagels, this specific location has amazing customer service. I go there on average once a week for breakfast (for about a year now). I recognize about 5-7 workers that are consistently there. They are all hard workers, positive and seem to genuinely like working with each other. I applaud their professionalism! If you're ever in the need for a quick breakfast on the go, you won't wait long if at all here.

Yelp
This place is right downstairs from my office, so it gets pluses for being close. However, there's a Starbucks right next door and I think I prefer the Einstein's. The refill's on the mugs are only $1.23 (with tax) which is a damn sight better than the piddly $0.10 that Starbucks takes off for using a refillable cup there. And if you're craving a mid afternoon snack, the Southwest Quinoa soup is fantastic! Get a side of Sriracha with it though--trust me on this one.

Yelp
The food is actually pretty good. My criticism is the service. I went during lunch and there was no one in line. I approached the "Order Here" line and gave my order, the person listened but did not input the order to the register. I then approached the "pay here" line and had to repeat the order because it was never inputted. What is the point of having two steps in the order and pay process if no one enters orders in the first step?
