Love Ruby Jean’s! The world truly needs more places like this, with an array of healthy food options and delicious juices. Seriously, my wife and I are obsessed with their juices and thankfully we’ve found them also available at Whole Foods and McClain’s. Their space is inviting and calming, with friendly service, a chill lounge area, outdoor seating, and vibrant decor. It was a difficult choice from the looks of all their great options and I went with the sweet potato curry bowl. It tasted so FRESH and I really enjoyed it. Only complaint was it was served scalding hot. Only other complaint is we wish we could buy the juice in larger portions! My wife said she wants a gallon for her birthday.

Ruby Jeans Juicery has been a regular stop for me whenever I'm back in town. I appreciate their commitment to healthy, plant-based options, which keeps me coming back. This time, I ordered the Cherry Bomb smoothie and picked up the vegan chickpea grab-and-go salad. The Cherry Bomb smoothie was a refreshing treat. The blend of flavors was well-balanced, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet—perfect for a light, energizing boost. However, the vegan chickpea salad fell a bit short of expectations. The dried basil left a lingering aftertaste that didn’t quite work for me. Additionally, the salad could benefit from more attention to texture—the red onions and celery were in larger chunks than I would prefer, which disrupted the overall consistency. The salad also leaned on the dry side, and I think extra vegan mayo would have gone a long way in creating a creamier, more enjoyable dish. Overall, while I’ve had better experiences here, I believe there’s room for improvement, especially in the preparation of the chickpea salad.

This is one of few places that I know to be quiet yet ambient all at the same time! I love the for-the-culture vibe that it has with a splash of urban energy. The smoothies are good I tried the ‘Currently’ which is now the replacement of the Pink Zing until they get rid of it (if the plan). I adore the Lead to Read section and that there is a high focus on comfort. The staff are also always super chill and calm🧡

I’m new in town, and heard such great things about the establishment. I have been Vegan over twenty years. I go for good Vegan food not popularity, or fads. Good Vegan food is important to me. I was assured the food was amazing, service slow. I ordered seasonal Jerk Bowl with Jerk tofu. Although we were the only patrons at the time, it took a substantial amount time to get my meal. The meal had a great texture, but tasted like tasteless cardboard, with a dash of pepper. It was somewhat visually appealing, but not palatable. I actually threw the food away, and went to an amazing restaurant called Cafe Gratitude. I was very grateful they saved my dinner!!!! Waste of time, and money. It was a sad, traumatic meal for me. Just because it is Vegan does not mean it should lack taste, seasoning, etc. Veganism is so versatile, this restaurant is on the lower end of the Vegan spectrum. P.S. The brownie was okay. 14Jul24Edit: Thank you for the standard practice, offer to remake the bowl. I have no desire to come to your facility, after the lengthy, slight filled response (from the owner) to my honest review of my encounter. It is not my job, as I am not part of your marketing/development team to give pointers on how to elevate the taste of what I ordered. Side note I’m allergic to pineapples, and removed them from the dish. I’m sure the citizens of Kansas City love your food, as they have limited Vegan options. Having lived in New York, Boston, and the Dallas/Fort Worth areas, I have become accustomed to a certain level of fresh Vegan options from different ethnic groups, and American fare. Again thank you for the offer, I humbly decline. I do not feel comfortable coming to your facility, and would not recommend anyone there. Have an amazing day!

First time in from Chicago! Got the grilled cheese and added salmon- so delish!! Also, purchased Vine Street Greens juice, very yummy. Can't wait to return and try some more before going back home!

I had the AM Scramble and the Berry Strong smoothie. Others in my group had the Power Toast and the Vegan Sweet Potato Curry. The food was fantastic and the smoothie was perfect. Berry Strong has banana in it, and for once, I had a smoothie where the banana was not over powering. It was a delicious blend. I'm planning to stop in the next time I'm in town. I want to try more at Ruby Jean's.

What an awesome juicery and smoothie spot in midtown! So many healthy options on the menu, lots of space inside to hangout or work, and such friendly folks turning those fruits and greens into delicious things. Sometimes orders can take a few minutes or get lost in the mix if there’s a lot going on, but the juice is worth the wait (and the squeeze).

Great tasting food and smoothies. We're not vegetarian or vegan, but opted for the Vegan Sweet Potato Curry and the Veggie Stir Fry bowl. Absolutely delicious. Smoothies were also very tasty. Would definitely visit again when in the Kansas City area.

I had the BEST experience at Ruby Jean's! During my first ever visit to KC, I KNEW I needed to stop at this place that I have followed on Instagram for some years. the space is beautiful and so inviting, with tons of tiny nooks and gathering tables for conversation, autonomous resets or a quick sit down with friends. i picked up their sweet potato salad which was amazing and a couple of their bottled juices, which were delicious and fresh too! I absolutely love Ruby Jeans the food, smoothies and juices are good and healthy. Their protein bite balls are also delicious. The staff is always nice and knowledgeable and whatever they don't know they will go ask to provide clarity. The inside is really nice and relaxing outside of when they're busy and blending smoothies back to back it can get very loud so when I'm sitting in I typically just have headphones. But on a slower day it's pretty chill and the music is always nice. I I tried a lot of first today and can say I may get smoothies more often since I typically get their juices. "CURRENT"LY (smoothie): was really good and had a good balance of sweet and flavor with what all was in the smoothie. Salmon Benedict Bowl: was really good and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Whatever they cooked the salmon with was a little overpowering and the bread was soggy which I wasn't a fan of maybe I'll ask for it reserved with bread on top. Overall it was a good breakfast meal and fulfilling. Sweet potato brownie bite: was different but good, and it's cold which I wasn't too much of a fan of so I saved some for home and let it sit out it was better room temperature. I will say the texture and flavor is different but it's not bad and I could eat the whole thing, it would have been better in a bite size or ball.

I absolutely LOVE Ruby Jeans! I have been buying their juices from Whole Foods or other local markets and I had to pop in and see this place for myself. The interior is decorated so well and it just makes you want to come in and stay a while. I ordered the soul food bowl and was impressed with how fresh everything was! The absolute best part of it my visit was the juice. I mean the juices are to die for! The Goode Vibes Only is hands down the best juice I have ever had. I had to grab 4 out of their fridge. I am BEGGING for them to start putting this in gallon containers, I would be on cloud nine! The staff was friendly and attentive and I can't wait to go back again.

Friendly. Cozy. Healthy. Looking for a quaint spot to get a healthy meal or snack? Look no further. This is such a great gem in town. The staff here was so friendly and welcoming. The peanut butter protein rounds and avocado toast were so delicious. The Java Butter smoothie was a nice way to round everything out. The oatmeal was unique in a sense that it was not overwhelmingly sweet but had a lot of flavor. Nicely done, yall!

My coworker was craving an acai bowl so I said - I know just the place! We went to Ruby's and immediately loved the energy! The fun, colorful aesthetic and storytelling for Ruby Jean's would make anyones day. We ordered at the counter. Staff was helpful and we didn't feel rushed. The comfortable furniture and energetic atmosphere made it an easy wait. I loved getting to watch the fresh fruit being cut and juiced behind the counter. Our food and juices came out quickly. Next time I'll avoid any juices with beets in it because I personally find beets so incredibly earthy and overpowering - but that's a personal issue and overall everything was totally delicious - and healthy! Food is fuel!

The food, the location, the staff. Zero complaints! Ruby Jeans was a key part of my successful foray into veganism when I was dealing with some health issues and I'll always love them for that. But I had no idea how heartfelt and personally connected the owners were with their inspiration when opening this juicery. It was wonderful to chat with Raven and hear about not just the owner's story, but her's as well. The items that we tried: avocado toast, oatmeal, smoothies, sweet potato brownies, energy balls... everything was delicious. My favorite was the oatmeal, it was incredible!!! So flavorful. I can't wait to come back for more!

This is my new favorite place for an acai bowl. I don't know how I'm just now trying it but I love it. It's so refreshing

I went here once, smoothie wasn't bad, but I just wanted it to taste less healthy. I get that smoothies are supposed to be healthy but sometimes you just want protein powder or something that has sugar in it. The prices are kind of high too, but I get that it is local and important to support the community. They are healthy options in the area, probably wouldn't be my first choice to get a smoothie. If you want something more savory, opt for smoothie king or Robeks

This is such a cute place with delicious acai bowls. I wanted to try several items on the menu, but ultimately decided to go with a bowl. The customer service was fantastic and friendly. Highly recommend!

Been wanting to try this place for a while! My hubby and I both got smoothies. Mine was pretty flavorful but the consistency was a bit off. Like it's SUPER icy/slushy. So it's more watery than most smoothies I've had. My husband thought his didn't have much flavor and was icy as well. Perhaps we caught it on an off day and we can try again sometime! But for the price idk if we'd justify it. There's a lot of glowing reviews on here for them, so maybe it'll be better next time.

The food and drinks were so good. I definitely feel this is a place to get a full reset on health. Vegan food surprised me, since I have never had it before. I had there brownies and powerballs and let me tell you my day was set. I had so much energy. The service was fast and very friendly. I can tell they take pride in servcing there customers. They have indoor and outside seating so great place to grabe some food and work remotely or just chill and chat.

Best Smoothie in town the Royal Breeze. The Also had the scrambled that had egg spinach pepper and onions. Usually also tomatoes and cauliflower. I added one of my favorite sauces chimichurri to it and it didn't disappoint. A lot of healthy food options definitely will be back for lunch!

Love this place, it has a gorgeous fresh plant environment. I ordered the Gigi splash, very sweet and delicious. The ladies working the front desk were so helpful. Strongly recommend both going in person, as well as their catering services.

A comfortable atmosphere, freshly squeezed juice, healthy food options, abundant seating, natural lighting, and good company, what more could I possibly ask for on a Thursday morning? The drinks and food might take a couple of minutes to make but that should be expected when they are making it fresh on the spot. I haven't had a bad thing at Ruby Jean's which is what keeps me coming back again and again.

It was my first time here and the scene is peaceful with plants and good music. The manager swapped out the sweet potato curry with the veggie stir fry and it was fresh and delicious!

Definitely a must visit if you like healthy food and very relaxing atmosphere vibes. The "Keto" salmon salad tacos were delicious. Tons of blackened salmon, some pineapple, slaw and a green goddess dressing. I will add extra pineapples in the future but for real - SO yummy. I also got the açaí bowl, added peanut butter. Perfect blend of all the fruit and of course I felt energetic after eating it. Smoothies, juices, wellness shots, some other food options... a fair amount of seating. Counter service & trendy garage roll up doors make this a place I'd hang out in the future.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Let me say that I love to support Black owned businesses. This business is so amazing and so special for a multitude of reasons, and one of the most important ones being that this young man, the owner, Chris Goode took a gamble by opening a Juicery and health food store in the inner city. Needless to say, it is flourished and the supported by neighbors as well as people in the city caring about their health, but also supporting the business that is well run. This young man is not just a business owner, but he is also a philanthropist dedicating his time to sitting on boards where the voices of people of color need to be. I 100% support the business, and wish him nothing, but the best moving forward as he is truly making a positive change in Kansas City, Missouri area. Oh, I'm addition the young men working there are super nice and helpful!

I really love this place! I have been visiting Ruby Jean's off and on for a few years now, and I was so happy to hear they had a location on Troost. I drop by this location at least once a week after my morning water aerobics class, and I always go with the Green Dream. (I have gastro issues... so I know EXACTLY what I need, and I like what I like). -- They have multiple food options for breakfast and lunch, juice cleanse packages and more. I think my favorite part about this place is the unmatched aesthetic that includes large windows that bring in an abundant amount of sunlight for all the amazing greenery. This establishment is always clean and maintained well by the staff.

I have lived in Kansas City my whole live. Ruby Jean's is one of the most undiscovered gems. I had the pleasure of living across the street from this fantastic, healthy and unique establishment. If there was one food that I had to eat for the rest of my life, it would be the keto salmon wraps. I am always amazed by how wonderful my food tastes. They are always on point and they always serve my food with a smile. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish that I could eat this meal all day. The hours are limited and I am restricted to making this a lunch-only spot. Oh, and for those of you driving - there is a parking lot on the side! Something we all can appreciate in Kansas City.

This place is a 5/5 every single time! As someone who is not consistent in their "health journey" - the Ruby Jeans cleanses are always a great reset for me. On top of that, they really are delicious. I recommend a stop in at any location and take some to-go!

I love Ruby Jean's! I have to come here every time I visit family in KCMO. Staff is really nice and you can see them freshly preparing the drinks. The space itself is fun and cute and bright. The Kale Yeah smoothie is my favorite - it's so creamy and almost tastes like it has Indian or middle Eastern flavors (prob the cashews is what makes me think that). The cherry bomb one is BOMB too. Not just your average smoothie place - the flavors are unique and fresh. Support local!!

What an amazing place. Their tables have outlets if you wanted to do some work here, their drinks are amazing, and their food is divine as well. I think their protein bowl with blackened salmon is especially a good thing to try. Great service as well.

Clean food is on the rise and places like Ruby Jean's Kitchen and Juicery are on the front lines! We tried the fresco island smoothie and it was very refreshing! We also tried the shots of ginger and even though it burned while it went down, we felt perfectly fine after a minute or two. I don't know if I'll do the ginger shot again, but I'm glad I gave it a shot! ;-)

Super down to earth little cafe, that is perfect to work or study at. They have lots of plants and windows that bring in a bunch of natural light! There is smoothies, juices, and breakfast and lunch items. There are outdoor tables as well that will be nice to sit at once it warms up.

Wow! No words besides amazing. Not being use to the heat in KC I wanted a refreshing drink. I came across Ruby Jean's on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. They recommended the vegan Nachos and they didn't disappoint. I wish I could've visited this establishment everyday while in town.

What a vibrant and colorful place! A large variety of menu items, juices and smoothies. You can enjoy a nice meal or a quick meal on the go depending on your preference. Friendly service and quality food and drinks.

One of my favorite juiceries in Kansas City. I am a huge smoothie lover and they have such a good selection of smoothies and juices. Such a colorful and open space, it just brings out the good vibes. My favorite smoothie is the Berry Strong. Sweet and perfect for a post-workout drink. I also tried their juices for a 3 and 5 day cleanse and I can attest that this was the easiest/smoothest cleanse I've ever done. The juice selection met my taste buds and was very filling and I experienced no side effects or withdrawals. I would absolutely recommend this place if you're trying to start or continue your healthy journey. The cleanse is a little pricey, but definitely worth it if you. I recently tried out their food menu and it did not disappoint. The AM Scramble was pure perfection and was a nice serving size. The eggs, cauliflower, red peppers, spinach, onions etc. I mean this meal was loaded and tasted great! Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because of the operating hours. I wish they were open longer. They close pretty early and are not open on the weekends, so you have to plan accordingly if you want to pay them a visit.

I always stop by here if I miss breakfast in the morning to get a protein shake. It's a good place to just go chill and have a meeting. The service is great ALWAYS!

As I sit here on a frigid winter morning, days removed from Thanksgiving yet still full of turkey and remorse, I'm reminded of a recent visit to Ruby Jean's Juicery. This place is uplifting in every way. The bright, naturally lit new(er) space, along with the vibrant art and expanded menu are enough to pull me in. The juice combos have always been off the chain here, but the açaí bowl here was equally life giving. Let me expand on that a bit.. I used to be a good +60 or so pounds heavier than I am now, drank more soda than water and generally didn't have a clue about healthy foods. The biggest takeaway over my transition to living a healthier lifestyle over several years is that it actually feels amazing to eat healthy. Sure eating candy or french fries can provide that short term endorphin rush, but when eating healthy often with foods like Ruby Jean's, I feel balanced and sharp all day. I'm really glad to see them expand their food options here too because I don't go for juices as often as I used to, so it gives me an excuse to come in. Only thing I'd change would be some kind of loyalty program here because based on the fresh ingredients, the costs can tend to add up if frequenting. Add in the fact that this location is on Troost, long considered a dividing line in Kansas City for all the wrong reasons, it just affirms my thinking that Ruby Jean's Juicery is a big, positive part of our city's ongoing transformation. Staff is always friendly, parking is easy, and highly recommend checking them out.

I was pleasantly surprised!!! With an auto immune disorder, I try hard to eat clean which is easy to do at home. However when eating out, clean eating usually means bland tasting. This was not the case with Ruby Jean!!!! For Lunch I ordered the soul food bowl. The turkey breast was moist, the kale had a nice spiciness to it and the sweet potatoes were good. The bowl also comes with corn, which was a nice addition. I will be back Ruby Jean.

The Product - I ordered a Cherry Bomb Smoothie. Smooth, sweet, tart, cold and utterly refreshing; made with cherries, watermelon, lime, banana, and agave. I wish it had been 30 degrees warmer to enjoy it even more. The bowl that was being made while I watched looked awesome and will be on my list to try next visit. The Atmosphere - Very welcoming and open. A large menu yet clear and concise. Lots of seating options and plenty of natural light. The young lady that took my order and made my drink was extremely friendly and seemed like she was actually interested in my day, instead of just having to go though the standard back and forth routine. The Location - 30th and Troost. If you are long time resident of KC, you understand the negative connotation of that area. It was truly beautiful to drive south on Troost out of the Crossroads today and see the new residential and commercial development. I salute Ruby Jean's for putting such a healthy and beautiful space into an area that is on the rebound because of such optimism and hope. Another locally produced venture that is representative of what is great about this city!

We stopped here on our way to a wedding for a light snack. They have lots of juices and smoothies to choose from. They are all cold pressed. Good vibes only was light and refreshing. The blackened chicken sandwich was flavorful and not too heavy. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly.

I'd passed this place while driving down Troost and wanted to check it out as it looked intriguing. Was in the area again recently and stopped in and glad I did. I was with a friend and got a couple of their performance shakes with a friend. I got the Brew Master and it was soooooo good. Highly recommend!! I didn't eat there that day, but can't wait to come back and try some of the food too because the menu looked delicious!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I want to live here. Great vibe, ambiance, and amazing food and drinks! Everything is made fresh to order. Now, let's be honest. No one things "Troost" when it comes to a great place to hang out or eat clean, healthy foods. I believe Ruby Jean's is changing that. Their menu is extensive and amazing. Including a small fridge of healthy to go items, they have Smoothies, roasts, juices, snacks, andwill visit again and again. Minus one star because they use styrofoam containers and don't offer recycling receptacles. I hope the management will change this very soon!

Black owned and killing it! This place is a must try when you come to KC. The menu is packed full of options for breakfast, lunch, smoothies and pressed juice. Right now they are only doing carry out but you can eat at a picnic table socially distancing. The smoothie was thick and full of healthy flavor. Not artificial ingredients there or in their sandwiches. We will be back here when we visit the city again. I am just so happy that they are really showing how it's done. This was one of our favorite eating experiences on the trip!
