Step into Ralph Lauren's sophisticated retreat, where American classics meet old-world charm, and every dish—from burgers to lobster rolls—delights in style.
"You might be skeptical about the food at what amounts to a tourist-filled country club, but the lobster roll lurking in a sea of navy pinstripes at Ralph Lauren’s Mag Mile restaurant is surprisingly good. Available warm or cold, the lobster—mostly claw meat—is tossed in a lemon-herb aioli that pairs nicely with a faint undercurrent of celery and chives sprinkled on top. They go together like leather-bound books and rich mahogany, both of which you’ll see a lot of in the main dining room." - veda kilaru
"RL Restaurant (yes that’s RL for Ralph Lauren), has the old-fashioned feel of an English club, with dark paint on the walls, leather seats, and art arranged salon-style on the walls. It’s a prime spot for ladies who lunch. Stop by for their chopped salads, club sandwiches, and tomato soup."
"I had a lunch meeting at the Ralph Lauren restaurant. I ordered the chopped-vegetable salad with chicken. Obviously regretted and was eyeing my neighbors’ burger and lobster roll. Won’t happen again. I am still thinking about that burger."
"RL is right off the Magnificent Mile, which means it’s full of tourists who like shopping at upscale clothing stores and eating at restaurants located inside upscale clothing stores. RL sits in the Ralph Lauren building, serving perfectly fine yacht-club-style food like mini lobster rolls, calamari, and crab cakes." - Adrian Kane
"Downtown restaurant RL now serves continental breakfast on weekdays starting at 7 a.m." - Daniel Gerzina
