"Puerto Rican seafood on the bay El Dorado is a favorite in Salinas. The seafood is fresh and plentiful, and the menu boosts some unique twists on classic Puerto Rican dishes. This restaurant is located along the Ruta Gastronomica which has many restaurants each with their own special "mojo" sauce used to create delicious fish specials. Not into fish? That's okay, there is plenty more on the menu! If you want to try Puerto Rico 's take on seafood, then this is a perfect place to experience it!"
Fresh seafood, ocean views, and authentic flavors.El Dorado serves up Puerto Rican favorites like snapper, mofongo, tostones, a variety of seafood and local beer & handcrafted cocktails.
Watch tarpon swim below as you dine, and whatever you do, stay for dessert—it’s unreal, especially with a piña colada in hand!

What made the experience truly memorable was our server, Yamilka. She was attentive and genuinely kind. She made thoughtful recommendations and treated us like family.
So if you’re in Salinas and craving real Puerto Rican flavor with top-tier service, head to El Dorado—and definitely ask for Yamilka. She’ll make you feel right at home.

The pan seared red snapper was fabulous! Indoor was rather loud with a large party beside us but otherwise the whole experience was top notch and the price was surprisingly reasonable. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.

I can't express how beautiful the views are. The food tastes delicious, and it's traditional Puerto Rican food 😋. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Views are outstanding. Ordered the queen snapper whole(cartucho) and it was on the dry side. Flavor good but too dry. I'll have a red snapper instead - smaller and might be easier to cook to keep moist.

Friendly staff. Although it was full, service was fast. The location is a 2-story house with beautiful views. In a way, the second floor is inconvenient for those on wheelchair or with difficulties going up the stairs. The appetizers were great. In general, the food was seasoned right. However, my lobster and fish were overcooked, and it was disappointing. The restaurant was recommended as better than other restaurants nearby, but at least on that day it was not.

Pleasantly surprised by this mildly upscale restaurant, why? Because of it's off the beaten path location...service was excellent (bilingual), meals were plentiful and tasty. So much to choose from, full bar and an extensive wine collection. The establishment is clean, spacious and enclosed (wind protection?)but the view is of the harbor and the modern fishing boats. Parking in their lot is tight, but better than the road. 😋👍
