"In his convivial restaurant, Giovanni Passerini treats us to tasty, carefully prepared Italian dishes, such as his trippa alla romana, which could hardly be bettered. Here, it's all about the produce and authenticity: sharing plates are a house speciality, as is Black-Headed Manech suckling lamb or whole pigeon in two courses. This place is very popular, so be sure to book!" - Michelin Inspector

"Passerini, helmed by perhaps the city’s best-known Italian chef, Giovanni Passerini, near one of the city’s best markets, the Marché d’Aligre in the 12th arrondissement, is the elegant answer." - Eleanor Aldridge

The best quality value Italian restaurant in Paris. The setting is casual but the food is refined and absolutely delicious. Better than many star restaurants. For lunch starting at €34 for a starter with a pasta or €37 with a meat. The menu is always interesting. Not the run of the mill. Like this crudo with a refreshing shallots sauce. The flavor of the spinach, sage and ricotta ravioli is absolutely delicious. Not to mention the best tripe allá romana. Another starter of grilled mackerel with anchovies was wonderful. The whole flattened grilled quail was one of the best we tasted. If you like pigeons, the menu at lunch time of €55 includes a starter of your choice such as the grilled mackerel, a sumptuous pasta with olives and pigeon parts, fresh radicchio salad ,fennel gratinee, and the most tender and delicious roasted pigeon.

An Unexpected Culinary Gem in Paris During our first visit to Paris, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Passerini, and what a delightful surprise it was! Recommended by my boss, a native of Rome, we walked in just before the end of lunch service, unsure of what to expect. Despite the late hour, the warmth and hospitality of the staff immediately put us at ease. The lady at the front welcomed us with a genuine smile and ensured we felt right at home. Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply divine. We started with the Roman tripe, a dish that transported us to the heart of Italy with its rich flavors and comforting aroma. The carpaccio of oranges was a revelation – who knew oranges could be so savory and delicious? It was a refreshing and unique dish that left us craving for more. For our mains, we indulged in the Ravioli and Bigoli, both expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a symphony of tastes and textures, a testament to the culinary mastery of the chef. Despite them closing at 2:30 p.m. for lunch service, we were still offered to order dessert and coffee, a gesture that truly exemplified the restaurant's commitment to exceptional service. Overall, our experience at Passerini was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome to the exquisite food, every aspect exceeded our expectations. It's safe to say that this was one of the best meals we've had in Paris, and we can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience. If you find yourself in Paris, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Passerini. You won't be disappointed. Bon appétit!

Very overpriced food, small portions, not satisfying at all. In terms of taste, all the dishes were very very average for a casual fine restaurant except for the mallard. I had high expectations but they unfortunately were not met by this restaurant. Bill came out to be a whopping 100€+ but I left feeling hungrier than I was before.

Good food! If there is an English menu, will be even better ! The seating is a bit too closed with another table … otherwise, it’s all good!

Every dish was subtle, perfectly seasoned. The fresh pastas are incredible. Huge wine selection. Friendly staff, loved the open kitchen and being able to interact with the Chef and his team. Grazie mile !

This was an absolutely incredible find via Instagram - we booked and would highly recommend especially on a weekend. The service was impeccable, I tried my best to order in French but the staff were amazing and were able to explain the dishes in detail in English. The ambience was so relaxed was perfect - no rushing through courses or urgency to finish. The food - one word - incredible. The menu was fresh, vibrant and seasonal - flavours were intricate, delicate and considered. Would highly recommend for date night or catch up. We are travelling with our 4 month old son who was also accommodated with no issues.

The restaurant is at the corner of a building. The style and the decoration is simple and chic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They accepted our little dog inside. Their menu offers different options with their main specialty, the main dish to share. I believe their menu changes over time. I had the Mozzarela as a starter and the pasta for main course, and their dessert. The food was delicious. We were with a pregnant friend and the staff did their best to change their dishes to accomodate our friend by substituing non-pasteurise milk products with alternative. Overall, an excellent address for top quality food with great service.

The food is definitely very good. Fresh home made pasta, delicious meat. Service was OK, wine list and advice were inline with the place. I did not really enjoy the atmosphere though. Biggest issue is pricing. It is way too expensive, even for how good it is: 20 € for a small plate of pasta or 60 € for 2 person piece of meat is a bit above what's in the plate.
