"In general, it’s rare to find traditional NYC-style pizza in Paris. But that’s exactly what you’ll stumble upon at Vecchio, an Italian American spot in the 11th. Order one of those before moving on to the pastas, like fusilli alla vodka or the lemony bucatini with shaved bottarga and a dusting of parmesan. Save any remaining stomach space for their take on a rum baba that’s made with limoncello-soaked brioche. Vecchio may move from their current location on the rooftop of Le Perchoir, so check their Instagram to confirm where they set up next—hopefully, they bring the throwback ‘90s playlist and their lively, raucous vibe with them." - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta

"The young team behind this growing concept came up with the genius idea of opening bars in disused spaces all over Paris—on rooftops, at the old Pavillon at the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, and on a houseboat parked on the Seine. The newest locale, right on top of the Gare de l’Est might just be their greatest conquest to date: In addition to an incredible view and the trademark cocktails, you'll find snacks by souped-up kebab joint Grillé."

If I can give 6 stars I would, this place is officially my favorite restaurant in Paris. The food was absolutely insane, their croquette was genuinely so good I had to order it again. Their appetizers were all good to be honest, and I had both the Chicken Parm and their Alfredo pasta for mains (ai just had to try) and both amazing! Tiramisu was good and drinks were nice, but we haven’t even gotten to the good part yet! The Vibe…. At 11:30 ish, the music got louder, and the crowd was amazing, everyone looked lovely, happy, and dancing! This place is genuinely what good vibes feels like so I highly recommend!!! Dress well, book in advance, and always go for the the 10 pm seating!

Super festive restaurant. I absolutely loved the vibe. After dining in this beautifully designed restaurant in a Parisian loft, you can continue the night at their bar piccolo right next to it. The prices are a little expensive but the food was absolutely delicious.

Beautiful atmosphere, definitely a celebration place (there were multiple birthdays) but the service was bad and the food so expensive for the price. We spent 75 euros pp on a forced set menu because of large group size. The appetizers were delicious but not enough, and they took the plates away so quickly we didn’t have the sauce. The main course was only salad and 2 types of pasta for this price! The pasta was a bit overcooked. And we had 1-2 drinks pp. if they force a set menu you really should feel taken care of, leave happy and full, but the service was bad and the vibe was more like for instagram girls that don’t actually want to eat and are paying for the chic atmosphere.

Go for the ambiance, vibe, and music, not for the food. Service was great, the space is cool and well done. Turns into a party during the second service. Great place for groups. But the food was quite disappointing - the spicy fusilli for 2 was dry, tasted like canned tomato sauce, and had no spice at all. The linguine al vongole was basic, the pizzetta with tuna had a fishy smell, the lemon sorbet was served as a drink. The only thing we really enjoyed was the sucrine salad. It's too bad, because otherwise the place is great.

The price for the set menu is very high for what it is. Service was incredibly bad. The waiter had really bad attitude, didn’t serve the table correctly, we were missing forks and had to wait to get them. It was super hot and they would not turn the AC, nor open the windows. Tiramisu was really not what we expected.

Unfortunately my experience at Vecchio was really negative. I had heard great reviews and I really wanted to try out the place, so l decided to organize the Christmas dinner with my friends group there. With a group larger than 10 people there's a set menu of 55€ (beverages excluded). While the quality was acceptable, portions were ridiculously small. 40 grams of pasta each, a couple of bites of starters, a spoon of tiramisu and of Caesar salad without chicken. Instead of bread they give you focaccia, which was the only thing that allowed us not to stand up hungry. We complained loudly about the quantity, but we were ignored. I was really embarrassed with my guests, everyone was complaining, we've felt totally scammed. Not the best Christmas gift.
