Quarters is a lively Koreatown hotspot where sleek industrial vibes meet mouthwatering BBQ, ideal for fun gatherings over perfectly grilled meats and cocktails.
"Koreatown’s options are seemingly endless thanks to the area’s density. At Quarters Korean BBQ, the rowdier sister restaurant to Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong, concertgoers can prep for a night out with lots of drinks and grilled meats sold by the quarter-pound with late-night hours to boot." - Mona Holmes
"Korean BBQ in Koreatown is like sex and pizza: even when it's mediocre, it's still pretty good. Quarters appears to be something of a stepsister to it's neighboring KBBQ joints in the Chapman Plaza shopping center, a major hub for Koreatown nightlife. Although it flaunts a glossy chain-style restaurant, don't be fooled into thinking their BBQ is run of the mill. Expertly grilled Kobe paired with a solid selection of beers on tap, well that's artistry you can only find in excess in this neighborhood. Quarters is an ideal pick if the wait's too nuts at Kang Ho-Dong Baekjong or Toe Bang and you've got a hankering for mouth-watering pork belly, cooked tableside." - The HR Dept
"If a gastropub-y chain like Yard House served Korean barbecue, it’d probably look something like Quarters. Or at least that’s the personality of this popular Koreatown spot. Dinner here entails flatscreens broadcasting Sportscenter, Top 40 tunes at full volume, and families cheers-ing with giant strawberry ‘ritas. And while Quarters’ slogan on the wall reads “we offer only the best,” we might quibble with that statement when it comes to their meat, which is just fine. Our favorites are the marinated short rib that tastes better the longer it chars on the grill and a thick ribeye that a server will quickly cut into slices when it’s perfectly medium-rare. In fact, the service is the best thing about this place. The staff is attentive and fast, from refilling drinks to handling the grilling to bringing more banchan and sides, which include a fine-but-forgettable creamy broccoli salad and a too-sweet, crayon-yellow potato salad. Get the set menu for four, and your nearly $200 order comes with a tub of melted orange cheese “fondue.” Quarters might not be the gold standard of KBBQ, but it is popular, with walk-up wait times on a given night averaging two hours (reservations are available a week in advance, but they go fast). As a crowd-pleasing gateway drug, Quarter’s fun atmosphere can work for a night of silly cocktails and bulgogi, but at some point, you might consider mixing it up with other (better) options in the neighborhood." - Sylvio Martins
"Operator On6thAvenue Hospitality, which also owns the very popular Quarters Korean barbecue in another corner of Chapman Plaza, will redesign Baekjeong into a 1960s Seoul vibe with meats grilled on large stone tabletop grills instead of open grates." - Matthew Kang
"LA's barbecue scene is forever brimming with options, so it can be hard to ferret out the more desirable spots. However, the lines wrapping around this upscale, longstanding gem are a sure sign you’ve chosen well. Make sure to make a reservation, or try to sneak in for lunch or an early dinner to avoid a wait. Its name reflects how the menu is organized—offering meats in quarter-pound portions, thereby allowing diners to sample an ample array of marinated cuts. Come hungry or bring a friend, as solo diners are required to order at least a couple orders of meats. Kick things off with the sizzling pork skin, loaded with rich collagen and excellent seasoning. Four strips of beautifully marbled boneless short rib are then presented on a platter, judiciously seasoned and cooked to pink perfection." - Michelin Inspector
