Planta is South Beach's chic vegan hotspot, serving innovative dishes like coconut ceviche and watermelon sushi in a stylish, vibrant atmosphere.
"Planta (the sister spot of Planta Queen) is an upscale, photogenic vegan spot in South of Fifth. This place makes pretty good meatless versions of sushi, burgers, pizza, and other things they’ve somehow MacGyver’d out of plants and fruit. Like most photogenic South Beach spots, it’s a little pricey, but it can be a good option if you want to dress up and have a fancy (but meatless) dinner. We like the food at the Grove location a bit better, but this is still a good South Beach option with a different menu. " - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
"Proving vegan doesn’t have to be just smoothies and wraps, this upscale favorite takes plant-based dining up a notch with a flavorful selection of Asian-inspired dishes, including a watermelon “ahi” nigiri and coconut ceviche diners will swear is “the real thing.”" - Alona Martinez
"Planta, helmed by chef David Lee, has gained a dedicated following with its innovative vegan dishes. The restaurant serves completely plant-based sushi and nigiri options, including the popular dragon roll made with tempura broccoli, spinach, and spicy unagi sauce. Guests can also enjoy the California roll with hearts of palm, avocado, cucumber, and macadamia nuts, or the ahi watermelon nigiri with ginger and citrus soy. Larger dishes include the Planta burger, which is widely regarded as one of the best meat-free burgers in the city, and lettuce wraps with crispy Korean cauliflower, tofu, kimchi, pickled cucumber, nori, and sesame." - Alona Martinez
"On Miami Beach, you can dine at hotspots stretching from South Point up to Surfside. For creative vegan cuisine in a chic space, Planta is a must."
"The Miami Beach vegan restaurant is sharing the love this Valentine’s Day with a special takeout menu of cauliflower tots, ahi watermelon nigiri, mushroom tartare, and grilled Caesar salad. Main courses are baked eggplant rotini and spaghetti bolognese pasta. The dinner option is available as a one-person meal ($75) or a takeout for two ($100). Available for pre-order and takeout on February 14." - Juliana Accioly
