Nestled in Bywater, this industrial-chic pizzeria serves up incredible thin-crust pies and fresh pasta in a casual vibe perfect for family hangouts.
"Founded by two New Yorkers who pined for the authentic thin slice experience, this hip, industrial-chic Bywater pizzeria is considered by many to be New Orleans’s best. Cheese, pepperoni, and margherita are always on the menu at Pizza Delicious; otherwise, specials rotate. A small selection of worthy housemade pastas offer stiff competition." - Clair Lorell, Eater Staff
"This Bywater favorite is of course, best known for its pizza, but the rotating pasta offerings are not to be missed: spaghetti carbonara, spicy crab linguine, spring gnocchi, and pappardelle Bolognese might be among the options, and there’s always a vegan pasta option on the menu that’s just as good as the non-vegan options. Affordable and family-friendly with fluffy, delicious cookies to round out your meal." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell
"Crispy of crust, New York of style, Pizza Delicious is a no-frills pizza joint that delivers the goods. The menu is concise, with daily pie and fresh pasta specials along with traditional faves including pepperoni and Margherita topped with fresh mozzarella and basil. Slices are available and the 18” pie is plenty to share. Always try a fresh pasta special, like a blue crab and butternut squash risotto or pork and fennel ragu tagliatelle. Oh, and the garlic knots are crusty, doughy bites of bliss. There’s beer on tap, a few wine choices, and limited cocktails poured." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell
"What started as a semi-secret pop-up between two college friends from New York now consistently makes some of the best pizza in the city. The crust has that nice little snap when you fold it, and the toppings never overwhelm the simplicity of the red sauce. You can order by the slice, but it’s also imperative that you get their excellent margherita, which only comes as a whole pie. Look for a rotating list of specials, too, like the roasted cauliflower, hot coppa with caramelized onions, or rosemary potato with spicy bechamel. And don’t forget to pick up a salted chocolate chip cookie for dessert." - team infatuation, megan braden perry
