Pinhole Coffee in Bernal Heights is a vibrant community hub with colorful decor, smooth brews, and an inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing or socializing.
"Pinhole Coffee is a bright spot in Bernal Heights—literally. The espresso-centric coffee shop has cheery rainbow walls to match their cheery rainbow logo, and it’s always filled with families, couples, and neighbors stopping in for a ridiculously smooth flat white. You can settle in on the benches lining the wall and sip slowly among the colorful wall art and retail shelves, or take your cup to go and admire the views from nearby Holly Park. "Pinhole Coffee is truly a local hangout where every detail is exactingly considered. Every two months, featured roasters are highlighted with a rotating pour-over selection, so there is always something new to experience. Extraordinary design consideration has been given to the space—murals by the owner's brother depict Bernal Hill, air plants growing out of vintage expresso machines add a quirky touch, and the highlight, a colorfully striped wooden wall visible from the street, serves to draw commuters in the door on their way to work. The ample sunlight and charming staff make this a great place to grab coffee and relax for a bit." - Strohl
"Pinhole Coffee is another great cafe in the city serving lattes, pour overs, and flat-whites. The plant-filled coffee shop also has the capacity to inspire you to make vinyl decals with your Cricut and sell them on Etsy. There’s a pillow-covered banquet surrounded by a big rainbow wall, colorful murals, and stickers all over the doors. And because this place doubles as a neighborhood gathering spot (expect a line), don’t be surprised when you exchange dog training tips with the person standing next to you.
