On the Grid : PinchukArtCentre

"PinchukArtCenter gained its reputation as a main modern art institution since 2006, with changing exhibitions at least twice a year. PAC brings Kyiv audiences some of the best names from Anish Kapoor and Yayoi Kusama, to Andreas Gursky who once arranged Kraftwerk concert to celebrate the opening of his exhibition in 2008. A tip to avoid crowds and a line: come here at 12:00 on weekends or any time on weekdays. Pay a visit to the gallery bookshop and check out OneLove Cafe on the 6th floor for awesome coffee, snow white walls, and the best view on Bessarabsky market." - DepositPhotos

One of my favorite places in Kyiv. I visit this gallery every time I'm in the city. It's free to enter, and you can get an audio guide if you'd like. The gallery has three floors with many rooms, each featuring different exhibitions.

Cold and rainy day today. So we've decided to do something cultural 👌 PinchukArtCentre presents an exhibition of 20 nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025. And, of course, we made our choices in voting for nominees 👍

You can find many pieces of temporary art by local artists. The entrance is free, and there is no waiting line.

Generally, a nice place to visit. However, there are some pieces that pretend to be art especially among nude photos. A lot of pictures there pretend to be conceptual, but are not art, sorry. There are a couple of worthy ones too. At the same time there are a bunch of good ink drawings upstairs + sculptures built with neon bulbs and iron bars which we a e used to see on the first floor of any Soviet apartment building.

This contemporary gallery's polished concrete floors reflect changing installations in unexpected ways. The top-floor cafe's windows frame perfect views of nearby church domes. Security staff rotate artworks with surgical precision during closed hours.

Fantastic museum. Can't believe that it's free. Very cool exhibits here and a super cute cafe as well. Highly recommend. Had to wait 40 minutes or so to get in on a weekend, so plan to wait for a bit.

Nice exhibition. Must to visit! As usual line outside, but it goes quickly. To go inside you should to have Vaccine sertificate or negative PCR test

The best modern art galary in Kiev. Free entrance. Do not take any large belonings with you, as you'll be asked to leave it at the entrance. Coffee bar on the 6th floor with a nice view to the city and the market. If you come at Sunday till the opening - you'll need to wait in a queue for approx 15-20 mins to pass. Better ask someone inside each room the explanation of the performance or the exibition, as it would be hard to understand the real sense of this art, even if you read some words in Ukrainian and English on the wall. I'm visiting this place every single time I'm in Kiev, as it's always smth fresh and exibitions are updated very often, so there is low chance to see smth old, like in Tate Modern. They try to invite not just the Ukrainian, but others modern artists. Highly recommended!
