Perbacco is a chic, Financial District Italian gem dishing out seasonal, Piedmont-inspired pastas and hearty comfort fare, perfect for a polished night out.
"The mushroom risotto at Perbacco is the best in the city, but if fancy rice dishes aren’t enough to sell you on dinner, everything at this Italian restaurant in the center of the Financial District is incredible. The dishes here aren’t meant to be shared, but that shouldn’t stop you from ordering tender short ribs or tajarin pasta with pork sugo for the table and trading bites - you won’t want to miss anything. This place is one of the last great white tablecloth fine-dining restaurants in town, and should be at the top of your list." - will kamensky
"This FiDi sister bar to Perbacco has a drink menu is divided by classic Italian aperitifs like prosecco spritzes, plus a by-the-glass menu with balanced representation of regional wines such as aromatic whites from Northern Friuli to ethereal reds from volcanic soils of Mt. Etna in Sicily. The bar menu offers just enough variety for casual meal with a bowl of fresh tagliatelle pasta smothered in ragu, or a light snacks like chili toasted almonds and bruschetta with whipped ricotta." - Coral Sisk
"Influenced by the Italian regions of Piemonte and Liguria, this FiDi restaurant is awash in silky pasta. Choose from classics like agnolotti dal plin, pappardelle with short rib ragu, and tajarin with pork and porcini sugo, or try garganelli neri with squid ink and octopush and shellfish ragu. Half portions are available, which is an excellent way to try one of each." - Ellen Fort
"Christmas eve lunch and dinner will be available at Barbacco with rich pastas like tagliata with seared nY strip, and grilled king trumpet mushrooms. Reservations can be made online here." - Ellen Fort
"The menu isn’t online as of publication time, but the FiDi Italian restaurant will offer family Passover meals on the first two nights of Passover — April 8–9. The meals will be available for pickup or delivery (via Caviar), and they’ll be priced at $78 per two-person portion. The full meal will include the matzo ball soup, herb-roasted chicken, and an assortment of antipasto. Check the restaurant’s website closer to the date for additional details." - Luke Tsai
