"Nestled in the CBD with prime views of the marina, skyline, and iconic Harbour landmarks, this hotspot offers loft-style accommodations, an indoor pool, gym, and a vibrant bar and restaurant serving up buzzy cocktails and bites." - The MICHELIN Guide
"While the official Negroni Week was Sept. 18-24, one hotel group in Sydney has decided to expand the festivities for the whole month of September. Ovolo Hotels partnered with the World’s Best Bars to bring the city a global Negroni extravaganza. Participating bars include famed spots like Locale Firenze, Galaxy Bar in Dubai, Tropic City in Bangkok, 28 Hong Kong Street in Singapore, and many more. Each Negroni will tantalize taste buds with unique spices and very surprising ingredients. For the full lineup, head to Ovolo Woolloomooloo Hotel, housed on the historic Woolloomooloo Wharf in Sydney that’s carved out of an old wool storehouse." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"I found Ovolo Woolloomooloo to be an upscale, design-forward hotel housed in an industrial-chic heritage wharf building that offers loft suites, historical touches like some of Sydney’s oldest elevators, and perks such as complimentary minibar snacks and social hour cocktails for a relaxing post-hike sundowner." - Julia Eskins Julia Eskins Julia Eskins is a writer and editor covering travel, design, and culture. "Formerly Blue Sydney. Carefully constructed around support beams and pipes from a 100-year-old wheat and wool wharf, this hoteloffers a beautiful mix of old and new that juts out into the Woolloomooloo harbor. The Heritage Level is where you’ll find original wooden pier pilings, metal wheels, and conveyor belts that date to 1910, but classic touches such as early-20th-century photographs of Sydney are scattered throughout the property. Goose down bedding, plush furnishings, walk-in showers, and in-room iPads make modern travelers feel right at home, and the bar that runs the length of the central atrium—hanging Swarovski crystals shine pink and purple in the evening candlelight—often hosts fashion shows and cocktail events. Most rooms have sliding glass doors that take advantage of the hotel’s over-water location between the Royal Botanic Gardens and Rushcutters Bay; they open to either the city skyline or the Potts Point naval base. Maritime history buffs should book the latter and check out the site on the wharf from which sailors boarded ships for Gallipoli."
