We visited for their new after dark menu and was very impressed! What we ordered: 🌟 Pickled mussels toast, aioli, aleppo ($8 ea): started off with a bang, we loved this so much! The toast was perfectly buttered all around and was balanced well the pickled mussels & onions 🌟 Stracciatella, golden beetroot, sorrel, pistachio vinaigrette ($18): lots of flavours and textures going on which is up my alley, wish we ordered focaccia to pair with it though - Tuna tartare, goats curd, white anchovy, radish ($28): this wasn’t bad however we felt like the tuna was overwhelmed by the goats curd and we would’ve preferred some more herbs or citrus to add some freshness to the dish Rigatoni, vodka sauce, nduja, stracciatella ($26): Had a nice kick to it from the nduja and the pasta was perfectly al dente, personally would’ve preferred a bit more cheese though - Half roast chicken, confit turnips, salsa verde, jus ($38): the salsa verde and jus was delicioussss and the confit turnips were cooked well, but the breast was kinda on the dry side 🌟 Dark chocolate tart, cherry, crème fraiche ($14): so good!! The tart cherry cut through the very rich dark chocolate ganache, and the tart shell was done perfectly - crispy and slightly crumbly - Caramelised white chocolate cremeux, citrus, cardamom ($13): also very good and loved how the citrus fruits balanced the sweet cremeux. This was good to have to balance out the really rich chocolate tart

9.5/10 It might not be the prettiest plate in the room, but wow- it knew how to impress. The chicken thigh came in looking a little chaotic, but every bite made sense. The Belgian endive brought that satisfying crunch and just the right bitterness to cut through the creamy black garlic ranch. Add some vibrant veggies and a zesty squeeze of lemon, and suddenly, it’s a masterpiece. Now for the wildcard: miso-butterscotch. Sounds like a science experiment your friend dared you to try- but turns out, it’s delicious. Creamy, rich, with that savoury-sweet balance and a hint of musk that somehow just works. Still vibing with the flavour long after the last sip. Would I go back? Without a doubt. Only gripe? The price. It stings a bit with the weekend surcharge, but hey- it’s Melbourne, and this one was worth it. @foodie.nanaa

Cool cafe ☕️🥛 They have a night restaurant for dinner too For entree, beautiful smoked trout rilletes with some crisps. Wine match was a pecorino 🐟🧅🌱 For pasta I got the mafaldine with a white pork ragu & pangrattato 🥕 The dessert was fun because they have a bruléed lemon tart with some creme fraiche 🍋🍦 Wine match for dessert was a very nice dessert wine from Beechworth which should have been served in a real dessert wine glass instead of this liqueur glass. Brand new looking restaurant with good decor, nice seating and the waitresses were very friendly. Of course you can get great coffee here too. The cocktails were a kind of fig flavoured old fashioned and their sour which was my favourite of the two 🍸

I love this place! Food was awesome and staff was so friendly and nice. Coffee was also good. I like inside interior(wood and green color combination) so much. But just tiny thing is large coffee size(have here) was too small cup tbh🥲 Almost similar w Regular(small) cup. It would be nice that more bigger size coffee cup.

The cafe has a spacious interior with plenty of room between the seats, making it a comfortable place to be. The spice chai had a wonderful aroma of spices, and I appreciated that I could adjust the sweetness myself with honey. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and it was delicious and very filling with lots of ingredients in the brioche bun. The staff were all friendly and kind.

Booked a birthday brunch for a decently big group. Service was amazing - we were not rushed and there were no issues ordering our food/drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating; letting us order at our own pace and the kitchen timed the food perfectly. The food tasted great and was presented well. It was refreshing to have something different than the typical eggs on toast combination at other cafes. The panko chicken thigh is particularly special. The space had a gorgeous interior on a sunny day. Can’t fault this place

Dinner last night. Ophelia is a must. Tues 17th June. I must admit I’m pretty fussy about dining out. But I have nothing but praise for my experience at Ophelia. So good that I’m going to go again on Saturday night. The attention to detail by the staff there was amazing. The food was spectacular. We ordered the risotto with Burnt butter & Sage. And the rigatoni. Also had the little Palmeras and biscuits. Cocktails to die for. And yes, we shared as a desert of the best lemon tart I think I’ve ever had. I used to go to Babka for many years when Sasha owned it and their lemon tart was the best in Melbourne. I’ve got to say that this lemon tart is up there maybe on top of.! Please excuse the photo I’ve had half my cocktail by the time I got my camera out . I’m not one for loud places as you could consider me old. But the DJs choice of music was brilliant and I kept trying to tune in because I loved it so much.

What a beautiful cafe! Met a friend for lunch! Simple coffee and sando for me, and the chicken schnitzel for her! Outstanding! Really cool vibe with the record players playing vinyl while we caught up with each other! Will be back!
