Octo Tapas Restobar

Great find and a pleasant change from Vietnamese food. Food , service and surroundings were better than expected. Would definitely recommend this place , it’s worth climbing the stairs for!! My favourite dish was the whole fish with the fondant potatoes finely sliced to perfection, well worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion.

A fabulous layout in a gorgeous building certainly makes this a wonderful place to visit for some Spanish tapas. The dishes are quite traditional with fresh ingredients but need some small changes, like more garlic in the Prawns, less acidity in the Clams, and more juiciness in the Pork Belly but all in all an enjoyable meal. Expect to spend about US$50 per person with a bottle of wine. A big minus was that they told us they were out of the bone marrow after we already put in the order, and we were some of the first people in the restaurant. The wait staff should be made aware of that before service starts.

The food was good but terrible experience. We had 2 people, we ordered 2 dishes and then the staff was not happy and she said normally 1 person order 4 dishes- so we need to order 7-8 dishes. We tried to order 4 and ask her to let us check the volume of the dishes first then decide later. She was not happy and even asked us to order double the sourdough as there is only 1 portion in the dish we ordered and she said not enough. And it turned out that all the dishes were all so huge( I forgot to take picture of the sourdough) In the end we could not finish the sourdough and had to leave it, so wasteful. And instead of ordering that extra one we could try other dishes. I am so disappointed at the recommendation of the staff. When we claimed to the staff she just kept silence with cold face😨 Really disappointed about the experience so I could not enjoy the taste at all. Will not go back.

Visit again after 1 month and just found that the menu is updated(maybe last time too drunk). I had 4 glass of wine and the taste is good. So far the wine selection remains good, but the waiting time for food is longer than expected. The staff had explained afterward and treat the squids which waited for around 20-25mins. And the reason is the kitchen found that they make a wrong step and re-do. Maybe the explanation come earlier is better than the last. Overall, it’s still one of my favorites in the town. Everything will going better and looking forward to the next round if any for new dishes recommend by them.

The best thing about the experience was how clean it was , lovely music nice deco... But the food.... Disappointed 😞☹️... Simple flavors are nothing worth driving 10 mins for. Although a good presentation of dishes.. so if you look for colorful, beautiful dishes come here... But if you want an experience and better food .. keep looking... There is so much better food to enjoy in Saigon

Enjoyed the food here. It was unique and plated really well. It tasted good too. The place looks chic but the tables were arranged so near with each other that it was a bit uncomfortable.

Great experience. Food was just the best, very nice and attentive staff, great drinks. They added 2 drinks we didn’t consume, but resolved it very fast and offered us a compliment shot. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you can handle it. Octo’s staff did a great job. Than you for our beautiful evening

A great place for inventive and delicious tapas. Nice service, vibrant atmosphere, open kitchen, exquisite food at a fairly priced. Absolutely fall in love with the churros. Check it out if you are looking for new dining experience with your group of friends. A plate shared is a plate enjoyed 🫶🏻🍷
