Despite its popularity, my experience at Ober Mamma left much to be desired. While the food was decent, it failed to stand out in a city renowned for its culinary excellence. The restaurant’s bustling atmosphere, while lively, came at the cost of comfort—tables were tightly packed, and seating was merely average in terms of comfort, if not below expectations. Service was another area of disappointment. The staff, though polite, appeared overwhelmed, resulting in notably slow service. A mix-up with my drink order—a large bottle of sparkling water instead of the small one I requested—took an additional ten minutes to resolve, leaving me waiting without food or drink for an extended period. Considering the pricing, the overall value did not meet expectations. In my experience, there are certainly better dining options in Paris that offer superior food, service, and ambiance at a similar price point. While Ober Mamma may appeal to those seeking a trendy, energetic vibe, discerning diners may find it lacking in both service efficiency and overall value.

Come here for the famous truffle pasta and pizza. In the beginning I was not to excited for the queue (we’ve already reserved online, and we still needed to wait for an hour before getting seated. It was also not clear on how to wait, no clear sign and we still need to ask the waiter to make sure we got noticed). But the food was fantastic! And the service once we seated was also fine.

Wow! This is a MUST if you are visiting Paris! The food, especially the noodles with truffle, was amazing! The service was immaculate, with super friendly and helpful staff, and the atmosphere was lively and well balanced. Amazing experience overall would totally recommend!

For our last night in our Paris trip, we came for some good old comfort food - PASTA! The italo-disco, good food, good vibes and RICARDO! sprinkled the most fun we could have at our dinner at Ober Mama. 🕺🏼🪩🍝

We had the chance to try a variety of dishes during our visit, including the truffle pasta, Pistachio Disco pizza, The Hotline with pepperoni, and the Regina (Cœur de la Reine). The Hotline stole the spotlight—it was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors. Truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had! The truffle pasta was also very enjoyable, though it could have used a bit more seasoning to elevate the dish. The Regina offered a classic, rustic flavor profile with high-quality meat that stood out. On the other hand, the Pistachio Disco pizza was underwhelming. While the pistachio sauce itself was delicious, the cheese felt bland, and the balance of flavors was off due to an overwhelming amount of cheese and not enough sauce. As for dessert, the tiramisu was disappointing. It lacked distinct flavors—no hint of coffee, mascarpone, or anything special—just an overly sugary taste. The focaccia was good but slightly too crispy for my personal preference. Overall, while some dishes truly shined, a few missed the mark. I would definitely recommend trying The Hotline pizza if you visit!

I was craving Italian after coming back from Milan. Parma e Meloni and Aperol Spritz usually, so I googled and found Ober Mamma close to me that is highly rated. It did not disappoint ! Our server, who happens to be from Milan guided us to an incredible meal. Everything was delicious! Our server was very attentive. Gave us enough time to talk and catch up while making sure we have everything we need. This looks like a famous spot for birthdays and gathering. While it was packed, it wasn’t as loud as I would expect. We still had a peaceful and very delicious meal. The hosts made very thoughtful decisions in placing guests making sure we are all comfortable even with a packed restaurant. We were in the interior of the restaurant under the beautiful glass ceiling and artfully decorated with tree branches. We will definitely be back!
