We went to Mumu Restaurant in Wynyard, Sydney last Christmas and absolutely loved it! Even though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait long for a table, which was such a nice surprise. The food was incredible — a beautiful fusion of flavours that really worked together. You can tell there’s a lot of thought and heart behind each dish. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, I loved the artwork on the wall and the design of the space, perfect for a festive night out. Can’t wait to go back again and try more of their fusion dishes!

This is one of the highly recommended restaurants for anyone who enjoys Asian fusion cuisine. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, starting from the moment you’re greeted at the door, especially Aggie and Mew who truly stood out with her warmth and attentiveness. The food is served surprisingly fast, even when the restaurant is busy — so fast that it genuinely impressed me. While the prices are not cheap, I can confidently say that the quality and experience are absolutely worth the price.

Went as a group of 13 and had a slightly offset private room which was a little more quiet than the main room. Service was attentive and even tho we were having the banquet, they could cater for two vegetarians in the group. Food was delicious and we were full by the end of it. Even tho stuffed, I wish we each had our own flan dessert 😄. It was served between two.. Highly recommend a visit.

Stunning restaurant that needs to be on your list for Sydney. It’s got a great vibe, with a DJ playing tunes and a really lively environment. The food is fantastic, fresh flavours with just the right amount of heat. The Pippi curry was a highlight for me, the chicken 65, clay pot rice and duck were equally amazing. The kingfish is also beautiful and balanced. Cocktails were delicious. The staff were amazing, they truly made the night for us and took care of everything despite the place being packed. Booking is a must if you don’t want to queue at the door. Will be going again.

We went there to celebrate a special event for my friends and Mumu didn’t disappoint We had ordered banquet for our meal. Service was excellent we were greeted with friendly faces. They took care of us really well. Food 🥘 It was delicious. The Asian cuisine fusion was YUM !! So innovative and interesting. We enjoyed every single dish. Atmosphere Lively and beautiful. It was pretty crowded but we still got our own space. Located near Martin place. You guys really should try this restaurant 👍🏻

Mumu is on the main street so it’s really crowded for most part. Highly suggest to reserve in advance. The food is very fast and flavor is fusion. A bit salty for my taste but I think majority of people will be ok. Atmosphere are great for hanging out with friends group

Was actually quite disappointed by the experience here. I was expected to be wowed since the environment, the menu, the pictures looked amazing but I think it is overhyped, especially for the price. There’s a reason why you don’t see many Asians eating here. We know where the real authentic food is. Walk a few blocks and you’ll find actual Thai, Malay, or Chinese spots serving food with flavour, history, and soul - not cosplay versions of dishes. A few dishes we had the flavours were all over the place. The glazed eggplant with black vinegar was too salty and sweet, the pork skewers were definitely over salted. The ingredients didn’t taste the freshest either. If you want good Char Kway Teoy go to Ho Jiak, where it’s much cheaper and tastes infinitely better. It’s not terrible food but for the price point I was expecting better. I’m sorry MuMu, but this experience wasn’t the best and I won’t be back.

MuMu is one of those restaurants that definitely do not skimp out on flavour. Each dish of theirs has a good blend of fusion riddled into it without taking away from the authenticity. The service is lovely, the ambience is great and it’s an overall happening place I would recommend people to go to, especially if you want to have a nice night out in town with friends/family. However, despite majority of their dishes being lovely, the MuMu Chicken 65 misses the mark. It resembled Korean fried chicken, rather than the South Asian chicken 65, which is tender and yogurt-y. Though they do serve yogurt on the side it doesn’t do justice. Overall 8.5/10.
