Moon Korean BBQ

Moon Korean BBQ really blew me away! The beef bulgogi soup is a must try. I ordered a beef platter to share with co-workers and it was delicious. There were some great cuts of beef that were very flavourful. The veggies and the sushi rice was great as well! I’d come back anytime.

I have been there twice already in the past one week. Super friendly staff and delicious food. I love the flavours. The fried chicken is one of the best that I have ever had. Just incredible!

Went for dinner with my family, and EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious, with very generous portions. We ordered the Tteokboki Hot Pot, Moon Special with LA Kalbi, and the Kimchi Jjigae, and everything was wonderful. As Korean-Americans from LA, we eat at a lot of Korean restaurants, and we would highly recommend this place, for the great food and friendly service, all for a very reasonable price.

Yummy food and good portions! I got the the beef bibimbap bowl :) Comes with side dishes and miso soup. Our server was also very kind.

Super delicious food and amazing service! My family and I ate here and ordered the pork combo. The amount of food it came with was enough to satisfy our family of 5 for an amazing price. Our grill stopped working early on during our meal, and the staff was so efficient in finding a solution and offering to cook the food for us. The staff was also very attentive to our needs the entire stay. Regarding the food, the side dishes, though simple, really amplified the meal! If your family is super hungry, you can probably order one of the combos and some extra entrees and be completely full. Parking is a bit tricky, but there’s loads of cheap parking around Chinatown within walking distance. Totally recommend a visit for the quality selection of meats and food.

What an experience! ... We must of tried every Korean restaurant in Calgary, and this landed close to top or even second place on our list of favorite Korean restaurant. Mind blowing grilled pork belly.. Had to ask for extra lettuce to wrap! .. Kimchi soup was as good as it gets, nice and spicy. Super friendly service, and the atmosphere was just right! ...

Amazing korean restaurant located in downtown (chinatown). Food is delicious and well presented. Great for family outing. NOTE: There is NO All You Can Eat here (if you are wondering). I ordered the chicken bulgogi moon special (Highly recommend this after lunch hours) at an incredible deal of 20$! Good enough for 1 person unless you have an appetite like me. Additional order of fried dumplings and takoyaki is also very good! You can also cook directly on your table just like any other Korean restaurants and also an option for kitchen cook. Beware of busy times!! Space is limited so I advise that you reserve your table ahead of time to avoid waiting in line as well as parking. Chinatown is a busy place and free parking will be limited. Luckily, a public paid parking is at front if you have no other choice here. Overall, this is a great place to try out in the Chinatown section of downtown and you will not be disappointed with the food you will get here.

I love this place. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. Love "The Moon Specials" since you get a variety of food all on one platter. The prices are decent and I can't complain. I like the seating in this place too since they're all in little booths. We also got lucky one time and got free udon noodles because the chef was making a new menu and they made a dish for photos and the staff let us have the noodles after.
