"You probably didn’t have “German beer garden” on your Mexico City bingo card, but this unexpected spot is one you don’t want to miss. Sure, the food menu definitely includes bratwurst, but there are also Mexican beers on tap, and, fairly often, DJs spinning reggaeton and Mexican cumbia. Grab a table outside (there’s a retractable roof for when it rains), order a few pints and some barbeque chicken wings, and catch whatever game’s playing on the big TVs." - guillaume guevara

"A major driver in the city’s burgeoning food scene, Mercadoroma pays homage to Mexico’s beloved open markets, yet explodes the concept by renting stalls to a dizzying array of purveyors of fine food, beer, wine, and spirits, and other stuffs—all under the same roof. The experience combines picking up staples, hard-to-find cheeses, baked goods, and charcuterie with popping down here or there for a quick gourmet taco, torta, burger, or bit of barbecue. The sweet-tooth set does not leave disappointed, and a retro midcentury vibe makes the market’s shared tables particularly pleasant; the top-floor terrace is a perfect retreat on late afternoons for artisanal beers, mezcals, and a full range of cocktail options. (Check out the market's sister spot in Coyoacán.)"

"A fun take on the traditional covered markets, the Mercado Roma is a one-stop-shop for indie gourmet snacks. Here, many of the city's up-and-coming chefs and food brands have set up shop selling everything from fresh juices, to fair-trade coffee, Spanish tapas, classic Mexican snacks, and more. The stand not to miss is Umami which dishes a selection of sushi-style burritos. Always crowded at lunch time, visitors can take a spin, choose their treats, and try and find a spot at the wooden communal tables stationed at the back."

"Neighborhood residents protested Mercado Roma before it was built, saying that gentrification would ruin the area. The three-story market is indeed more upscale than its surroundings, but it's the perfect place for sipping Spanish wines, eating tapas, shopping for expensive cheeses, and nibbling snacks. You'll find satellite puestos from restaurants around town, a coffee counter, vegan tacos, and cured meats. There's also a  rooftop  beer garden, complete with a foosball table, and a ground-floor patio filled with herb boxes. The market also has a second location in Coyoacán." - Scarlett Lindeman, Lauren Stroh

Google
We spent three nights of our time in Mexico here. Being a hawker centre, we were able to enjoy tacos one night, Japanese another night, and a curry night. We found the food preparation areas clean, and good toilet facilities. The beer bar on the street (cocktails and wine served at the rear) was the place to hang out. 🙂

Not rated but don't want to downgrade rating. Went at 11:45am Saturday. It is open in the sense you can go in (and there are restrooms) but none of the stalls were open or serving food or drinks.

Google
This Mercado is adorable. There are many food stalls to choose from. There’s a wide Friday of food and drinks. I personally got a crunchy sausage and cheese crêpe, and a giant ginger apple juice. Everything was delicious. There are also little boutique stores there. The decor is also super trendy. I love the eating area. There’s DJ there, which I also wasn’t expecting. And the crowd is chill. It’s just very good vibes. I definitely recommend hitting this up especially before you go to mama rumba - the salsa club. It’s literally across the street.

I love the whole idea of lots of mini restaurants in one place, tried several things and they were really good, but there was one that was amazing! I think it's called "The Sushi", you have to try it, it's a must-have.

Google
Loved this spot, loved the atmosphere and ambiance and all the different food and alcohol stalls were just amazing! The whole concept of this place was awesome. There is communal seating in the back and everyone is vying for your business. We got food from 3 different stalls and alcohol from yet another stall. The best part is once we were seated we never got back up, everyone came to us! This is a MUST go if you want to enjoy the vibes of a great local spot. Also, there was a guy singing in the back which just made it so much more fun.

Google
Multiple stalls with different cuisines! From Italian dishes to Mexican and even Vietnamese. I enjoyed the Venezuelan stall with empanadas and rice dishes with plantains. Massive portions, friendly service and affordable prices, plus tasty! The highlight for me though was the Paraguayan empanadas. These were a hit. It’s a small stall and unassuming empanadas but don’t underestimate it. I’d eat this again and again.

Google
Lots of different food and drink options. The nice thing is that you can order food from different places, then sit at a big table to eat. They find you. Might just be because it wasn't busy. There's so much to choose from.

Google
Mercado Roma in Mexico City is an upscale food court with international flavors. We found Asian food, Indian food and vegetarian tacos here! Nice place to sit for groups, you can also find beer and wine, nice music playing. You order the food, then go pick it up, sometimes they deliver it to your table. Coming here was a nice change from restaurant visits, and it was also a break from Mexican food. We were happy to find vegetarian options!

Yelp
This market is an interesting concept with over 20 small local dining establishments and each one is independently owned. Some specialty restaurants included food from Oaxaca, Venezuela,, and and Chiapas. There were also several cervecerías and even a local place that sold various reasons blends. After walking around the entire market, we decIided on the Pasta Mestiza establishment because without question Pasta always goes well with my stomach. Their food also looked to be the most delicious. I can't say that for many other Mexican dishes. We each ordered the Bolognesa de Birria and it consisted of fettuccine with a custom made bolognesa sauce. The sauce basically had beef bullion mixed with three different chiis, tomatoes, onions, and other various herbs. The gentleman who prepared our food was a true Master chef because it was pure awesomeness! I would definitely recommend anyone to come and visit this market.

Yelp
A little indoor area with a bunch of eateries and a few vendors. We sat in the back by the bar and had a few happy hour drinks. The price was reasonable for happy hour and it seemed to be a popular place for expats & foreigners. They call it Mercado but there's not too much shopping, it's more of a place to eat.

Eddie U.

Yelp
Each time we come to CDMX we hang out at this mercado for some drinks and food. This last visit we had some drinks and listening to live music. We noticed that there were less businesses opened this time, but it no doubt we will come back again.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Cute spot. Lots of options (vegan tacos spot was incredible as well as the gelato/sorbet stand.)

PEARL S.

Yelp
Betun Atun has some delicious seafood!! So Good! The whole vibe of the place is great. Came twice during my 5 day stay. I'll def come back.

Yelp
Located in a trendy neighborhood, Mercado Roma is a food hall with over two dozen food and drink vendors, a second-floor bar and a rooftop beer garden. We got there on a Sunday around 6 p.m. and all the outdoor and back area seating was taken. We found a table on the second floor, which worked well. My wife and I ordered two red sangria that came with a meat and cheese plate. Our five-year-old daughter loved the cheese empanadas and my burrito was good. Each vendor has a different system. Some ask for payment up front. Others ask for after you finish your food. There are funky bathrooms on the second floor with a view down on the patio.

Natalie Z.

Yelp
Hmm...I didn't exactly know what to expect when I was recommended Mercado Roma, but it was a bit of a disappointment. This mercado is less of a market and more of a food hall ubiquitous to bigger US and European cities. We came in the late afternoon to weather a rain shower before eating at Contramar, and it was kind of dead except for a few people having some tequila and other mixed drinks. The food stands are pretty diverse, offering cuisines such as Indian/Nepali, vegan, Italian, etc, which is nice for those who want to try something new. I mainly stopped to purchase some chocolate--I had heard there was a Que Bo artisanal chocolate shop in the mercado, but unfortunately, it had closed some time ago. I purchased some chocolate from the Turin booth, which was better than nothing. There are also some shops selling jewelry, trinkets, etc--most of them double/triple the price of something you'd find in Mercado Coyoacan/La Ciudadela.

Ken G.

Yelp
I was able to experience this food hall recently and, overall, I thought this was really good - there are so many options available to customers, from traditional Mexican food to other international cuisines. During my visit, I went to Segrado Sazon and I got the quesabirilla tacos. They were very good: fresh tasting tacos, well-flavored meat and a delicious consume. There are a couple of bars in the space and I got a passion fruit mojito, which was great. The pictures of the space made it seem as if it's really spacious, but it seemed a bit small to me. Seating is very limited, so try not going during popular meal times. They had a live DJ when I was there and made the atmosphere very lively.

Yelp
Mercado Roma is a cool, hip marketplace with a lot of food options to choose from, which was like a food hall. It definitely was a popular spot for trendy foods of all different kinds of cuisines. We visited Mercado Roma for dinner and the place was pretty busy even on a weekday. I was surprised to find that on the day we went, the vendors were mostly food sellers, as I thought there would also be artisan goods sold here. I only saw one stall for that. But I did find some good grub after doing a lap. I ended up choosing a vendor that had birria tacos and birria ramen! I also ordered a guava margarita from one of the bars. What's nice is that after you order from a vendor, they will invite you to sit wherever you choose in the marketplace and will bring your item to you. The birria tacos were better than the ramen. The ramen tacos had tons of juicy pork flavor, especially when dipped into the consomme! The birria ramen was A-OK. They didn't use ramen noodles, which was most surprising. But I did like that the broth was a consomme and had the shredded pork with. The eggs though were hard-boiled instead of soft, which was another bummer. But not too shabby for a fusion. Overall, this is a fun place to check out for some trendy eats, as they feature a lot of appealing items. The atmosphere was also casual and fun, with a bar in the center of the first floor. On the second floor are more dining options and restrooms. I'd recommend checking out if in the Roma neighborhood.

Yelp
Place is utter rubbish. Not worth the time. The description is not anything close to what you would expect to see. A very cramped and dirty place. Food court??? Not. More like a food alley in a bad part of town.

Stacie M.

Yelp
Loved this little food market in Roma Norte (I also loved pretty much everything about walking around Roma Norte). Stopped in on a Monday around 2pm. Pursued all the vendors, they all looked tasty, but ended up ordering from the vegan restaurant in the back, Flores de Vegano. My sister and I split the chips and guac, and then I got the tostada with soyrizo and some other delic veggies spread all over it. It was sooo good and so filling, I couldn't even finish it (I believe it cost around $8, so great value)! Then we both got drinks from the bar right across from the vegan restaurant, which offered Rumchata Mezcal Margaritas!!!! Possibly my favorite drink of the entire trip! Then we went shopping and both bought some jewelry from one of the little shops in here. Loved our afternoon here!

Francis C.

Yelp
I was expecting more from the location as many said to add it to the list. It's just a more hip food market. Everyone has a different kiosk. The food varies and isn't just Mexican. The back holds picnic tables and a bar. The front has a small area for seating. You order with each kiosk. We tried the quesabirria space and the service was super slow. The man took about 20mins to bring us 1 order of 2 tacos. No utensils or napkins. Another 12mins for the napkins and by then we were done. The price is high for how much we bought other plates during our trip. We were also pretty disappointed with the actual tacos. The consume had little flavor. The meat was not seasoned. Overall, I wouldn't return as there are so many more options.

Rakim M.

Yelp
We tried the barbacoa tacos from here. They were phenomenal!!! So good, I had to go back for another. I tried the Passion fruit w/tequila from Mezcaleria bar. Sensational! The plants and day of the dead decorations were great.

Jenny L.

Yelp
Stay away from this pizzaria Viccos. The shrimp was served warm on the outside and cold on the inside, basically the perfect temperature for bacteria. The salad had sand on it and wasn't even chopped. It was over priced and very underwhelming.

Latoya W.

Yelp
The market has like ~10-15 different food/drink options. You sit down and you're bombarded with options from alll these different servers lol. It' was very overwhelming at first but once you understand that you can say "no thank you" the servers will keep moving on to the next table. It's really cool though because everyone at your table can order whatever they want, literally whenever you want. I had a couple margaritas that were fantastic and the chorizo cheese was amazing too. Definitely enjoyed our time once we understood how to handle the situation. Ha!

Marlene A.

Yelp
The concept is weird. It's almost like a mall food court atmosphere. It's more of a bar scene. The food service took FOREVER! Not great if you're hungry. There are definitely better places in Mexico City go visit.

Raul F.

Yelp
Had the worst experience at this place durring my trip to mexico city. Please be aware there are many food vendors operating in this food court style market place. My experience was with the Curandero stand. I should have walked away after the first experience with my order. I placed a order for birria tacos and chicken enchiladas suisas. The person at the counter came back with birria chilaquiles and said just eat them they are good. I didn't want to make a fuzz so I went along. I got the rest of my food but it came about 15 min after my wife and daughter have gotten their food from other stands. When I went to pay he changed me full charge for chilaquiles and birria tacos plus he added a tip for himself for the great service lol! I asked for the receipt and confronted him about the típ. He said everyone here charges it upfront. I explained it wasn't changed by any of the other vendor we bought from and he agreed to refund the tip. This is not the way business should be conected. Be aware and ask for your receipt should you decide to eat here.

Morris R.

Yelp
There are multiple floors, plus outdoor seating. On a Sunday, there as a huge crowd. Inside, maybe a third of the food stalls were empty. The food at the two stalls we tried was below-average, not nearly as good as a decent street vendor. One stall selling juice drinks had a dirty counter. The second floor - I am not sure what was happening there - but we climbed a long, winding staircase where people were sitting and passed a cramped room where people were singing. The rooftop bar is nice is you drink and watch sports. This is not a foodie experience. Might be fun if you are in your late teens or early 20s and just want to be around loud people.

Delmy E.

Yelp
I loved the ramen and the bone marrow. Sushi was not good.. but birria was a hit and bone marrow stole the show! Sadly I didn't take a picture of the bone marrow!!

Alex S.

Yelp
I liked this place and the food was pretty good. Its a love hate relationship with the Mercado Roma. Overall I can't think of anything that would take away stars because I think people should swing by and see if this is for them! Pros: Large open beautiful space. Many vendors. Good food. Safe part of town. Vendors have some nice items at the entrance. Cons: Expensive. Safe part of town. Opens later and has no good breakfast options. Overrun by tourists. There are upscale restaurants that cater more to the locals northwest of here I enjoyed lot more.

Mar B.

Yelp
Cool place, loved the bone marrow tacos from the lady on the left side (2nd or 3rd spot in) - You get extremely hassled by all vendors basically the whole time you're sitting there. Everyone wants you to eat or buy a beer or cocktail from them. Cool to get samples but kind of annoying. Loved the churros with choco Dip, a must!! El Moro was the best! And get a chocolate dipped palleta (coco) from Bandita Paleta, you won't regret it! Ended up going three times during our stay. Go!

Paul O.

Yelp
We came here around 8:00pm on a Saturday night a few hours after landing in Mexico City. There are a number of upsides to coming here for dinner in a group. First, we all wanted slightly different things. My son and I shared an al pastor burrito (which was more than enough for the two of us) and my wife and her sister split a ceviche and shrimp tacos. I wish I could remember the names of the establishments that we all went to (which would admittedly be much more helpful in this review), but alas, I cannot. My memory fails me. That being said, the burrito and ceviche were probably 4 stars with the shrimp tacos definitely earning 5 stars. We also ordered a margarita from the bar underneath the staircase. Finally, we topped it off by getting churros at El Moro which has a small outpost near the back of the market on the right. Upstairs, we bought flavored popcorn as well as some juice popsicles. All in all, it was a very convenient place for a group to get meals.

Rachel H.

Yelp
As Instagramable as the Mercado Roma is, with its iconic signage, open air stalls and exposed brickwork, I'm sad to say we found it hard to locate really wonderful food stall in this entire food hall. With one exception: Churrieria El Moro. The churros sold here are simply delicious. But as gorgeous as the market looks with its beautiful 60s Mad Men signage out front, its hanging garden and it's open air stalls, darned if we didn't have a hard time finding some crave worthy food here. Skip the dry tacos and the chalky lattes at some of the other vendors, and march right back to Churreria El Moro, if you want to hit the food jackpot. I'd love to hear what other Yelpers found tasty here, but for us, the churros were the main saving grace of this beautiful food hall.

E B.

Yelp
I was expecting something a little different based on photos and reviews. This place was pretty bad to be honest and I definitely would not go back! I went with 2 other people and we all did not like the food or drinks ordered. It's just totally different than the Instagram and online portrayal. Disappointing!

Guillermo R.

Yelp
A great hip spit from churros to sushi there is something for everyone a local spot that I plan to add to my go to list.

Rachel M.

Yelp
My girls and I wanted to go out for a nice dinner in Mexico City and we first started off at Condesa. However it was raining and it wasn't that cool of a vibe there so we went to Mercado Roma. 1st Floor is a gourmet food court with a variety of different cuisines including Oaxacan food, tostadas, and churros. It reminded me of the gourmet food courts in the US with a Mexican twist. We ordered a variety of food- enchiladas, chilaquiles, tostadas, al pastor hot dog, margaritas, and churros con chocolate. The food was good, but not the best. Also - get the churros from the original Churreria Moro- it is way better than the one in Roma Mercado! The 2nd floor had some awesome dancing - not sure what style it was but it was very authentic Mexican style -intimate fun, sexy- my friends and I lived vicariously through them. Some asked us to dance but we declined since we were just stopping by - we were actually really looking for the beer garden upstairs. Cucapa was a cool beer garden on the 3rd floor. It had lots of hanging lights, vegetation, and long tables where locals were drinking, chatting, eating. Little did we know we were going to stay and watch a fight that they were airing, which was fun. After some tequila shots, we just hung out and people watched. Would recommend for a fun night out in Mexico City- we didn't even have to leave the building!

Amisha S.

Yelp
Trendy place with multiple food/drink options to choose from. Ample seating (indoor and outdoor) and fun vibe. Will be back!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Fun spot! Don't be intimidated. Grab a seat. All the servers will help you even if they don't work for the stall/vendor you are looking for. Everyone super nice. Just tell them what you want! But if you only get one thing...quesabirria. I'll dream about it for the rest of my life. Also the café cocktail was perfect way to digest.

Sandra C.

Yelp
Delicious food, big variety! Excellent service as every business works so well together to serve the customers.

Aleksei S.

Yelp
Fabuloso y ameno! Rica comida y cerveza. Buen ambiente y servicio. Cuando regrese a CDMX regresaré de nuevo.

Ami P.

Yelp
From sushi to pizza to ice cream, they have it all. It's not a massive food hall like they are in America, but it has a nice charm to it. I got a pizza from the vegan spot and my boyfriend got a paella from another stand. There was a lot of activity going on with a live singer and people coming and going. Very lively!

Heather F.

Yelp
We came here about three times during our visit to Mexico City. This was a great place that offered many different restaurant options. Perfect spot if your with people who do not agree on what to eat and want a chill atmosphere. This is like a food hall with different food and drink vendors. The first time we got there, I ordered pizza. It was thin and I was able to get two flavors of pizza. I got the pesto and the pear. It was very flavorful and inexpensive. While I was sitting there waiting for my pizza, I got a sangria from the drink vendor next to where I was sitting. I did not like the sangria. It had a weird after taste like the wine in it had been sitting out. The 2nd time I came here for dessert at the vendor with gelato popsicles. I got the cookies and cream dipped in chocolate. It was delicious. The final time I came, was for drinks. I went to the center bar on the bottom floor that served mezcal. I started with a lemon flavored margarita chilled and got the mezcal tasting. I was feeling great after that. The alcohol levels are about 42-47% so be careful. The staff was really fun and nice there. Finally there are three different floors with a mezzanine area. The mezzanine was a floor above the food with other food spots. They have a barber shop and tattoo shop on the 2nd floor. On the top floor, it opens up to a roof top restaurant with a full bar. It looks at night time it opens up to a club atmosphere because there is a DJ booth in the front. Great spot to come to.

Andy N.

Yelp
This is a fantastic market and lunch spot right in the heart of one of Mexico City's up and coming areas. There are so many things happening at once that it will likely be hard for you to decide what to eat. Fear not, for everything is great. The market extends far back and has an upper level with more dining options and miscellaneous goods. We ended up crashing at La Barraca Valenciana for their amazing sandwiches- one with milanesa and another with squid. The sandwiches were delicious and prepared freshly right in front of you. We also tried their patatas bravas and to our surprise, was actually pretty good! Be careful because prices will be slightly steeper than other food stalls in the area. Get lost inside and really enjoy the amazing options that you can find here in the market.

Zhana E.

Yelp
Cute place to grab a drink and hang out. I came here on a Thursday night and they had live music, and they stay opened later than the rest of the week. The band was great and the drinks were great too. Quite a few places are closed by the time the band starts, so I didn't get a full pic of the market in full action. I thought the food options were somewhat limited and not the best the city has to offer. However, the Mezcal bar and the Churro's place were excellent for the vibes I wanted that night.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Attempted to visit this place twice. Both during the week day and on a Saturday morning. It seems that a lot of the stands are not open as indicated on google or yelp, or they open all a different times. I spoke to the only place open, and she said most restaurants open at 1pm.

Garrett N.

Yelp
It was a nice visit here for lunch over the weekend. We arrived around 12:15P and found that most kiosks were closed awaiting the lunch rush that comes after 1 or 2 PM. That didn't bother me at all as I wanted to try Flores de Vegano for some good vegan fare (Mexican and other). The staff here all operate their own kiosks and certainly want to please. Around half were able to speak English and all had English menus which was helpful to me. The vegan food was outstanding - I ordered a few items to sample and wound up finishing it all because it was delicious. They do accept credit cards so fear not.

Stella Y.

Yelp
This was the first place we visited after arriving in Mexico and it was a great place to try all the local foods in one place! While I don't think all the food was the most authentic (there were a lot of fusions), everything was really low key and fresh. I can't remember all the restaurants but I tried about half the places! We started off in the middle with some fish ceviche and shrimp tostata and it was super fresh! We then moved on to eat a bone marrow taco and cricket taco which was pretty good as well. However, we got the chilaquiles at another shop and I don't recommend it at all. The chips were super soggy and the fried eggs were burnt. All the sauce sank to the bottom and didn't have much flavor. We finished off the night with churros and hot chocolate which I highly recommend. Seriously the best I've ever had! I also really liked the paleta we ended the night with. I got the strawberry basil and while it wasn't super sweet, it was extremely fresh and natural.

Razaa A.

Yelp
This is a neat food market that is worth checking out. I would suggest sticking to items that are being made fresh and that have a crowd. It was hard for me to choose, but I ended up selecting a place on the mezzanine that was making enchiladas etc fresh. There were several places that looked delicious as well, like the sushi burrito spot here. There's quite a bit of seating and it's a great vibe and environment. Would highly recommend checking this out and getting a local feel plus there's tons of variety for whatever you're craving.

Steph C.

Yelp
Mercado Roma is a cool open air marketplace cum food court that reminded me of Grand Central Market in Los Angeles, a casual spot with a ton of individual eateries where you can walk in and graze to your heart's content. We made a quick stop for churros a couple weeks ago, at Churrería El Moro. The market was fun and vibrant, with lots of people getting late lunches or midday snacks on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of seating, though we took our churros to go (after a quick bathroom break--great place if you need a public bathroom). There was a short line for the churros, but we were basically in and out. The churros, of course, were fantastic. We didn't get to explore the other stalls on this trip, but I'd imagine there are some good spots in Mercado Roma. It seems like the kind of place I'd visit often if it were in my neighborhood, with lunch and dinner and snack options for every day of the week.

Brian R.

Yelp
One of the coolest spots we visited in Mexico City. It reminded me of the Time Out Market in Lisbon since it brings many excellent food merchants under one roof. I'd recommend ordering small dishes at a variety of the stalls. We had a pozole at Jose Guadalupe (hot, sour soup - excellent), carnitas and cactus tacos at La Ahumadora (the cactus tacos were off-menu, but worthwhile - best cactus I've ever had), and the Del Mar sandwhich at La Barraca Valencia (15 minutes wait, but worth every second - juicy, incredibly tasty garlicky grilled squid sandwich), and fresh churros from El Churro Moro (can see them being made, best I've had). The only letdown was the ice cream mochi from a stall in the mezzanine. You can combine it with a visit to Parque San Martín (name on yelp) aka Parque México (name on Google), a 10 minute walk southeast of Mercado Roma.

Oscar D.

Yelp
El lugar es concurrido y pequeño, no es lo más higiénico dentro de lo posible, la variedad de platillos que ofrecen los diferentes lugares quedan a deber

Hetal P.

Yelp
5+ bc honestly this is one of the best food halls I've been to, and I've been to quite a few! I find that some food halls / markets can either be extremely overwhelming or underwhelming , some have weird vibes/setups. Mercado Roma has the perfect mix of food vendors, drink options, snack items, and shops! Not to mention it's absolutely beautiful inside . They have a beautiful plant wall and bright piñatas ! It's a place you can def spend hours at hanging out and enjoying all the goodies! The Biergarten upstairs is also beautiful full of lush hanging plants ! The beer and drink options were great and they also have food! I'd say this a must visit while in CDMX!

Jackie H.

Yelp
Hmm. Mercado roma is less of a market and more of a crowded collection of gourmet overpriced food stalls. I see how it appeals to the hipster-minded wanderluster-- italian tacos and Vietnamese rolls and a biergarten all under one roof. We found it totally overwhelming in the way Eatalt can feel sometimes. It had some cool international food but honestly the 75 cent delicious authentic tacos a block away on the street were just as good if not way better than those I had in one of the stalls. I did appreciate having a El Moro located by the bar. Anyway, cool concept, but way cooler restaurants at a lower price point nearby.

Yelp
What a great place to come enjoy a drink, grab a popsicle or enjoy El Moro Churro!! We came over Easter Weekend and it was not mobbed. We were able to find seating, though many of the stalls were closed, presumably for the holiday. We then came back a second time to try El Moro churros and it was absolutely delicious. Would have liked to made it to one of the El Moro stores, but didn't want to deal with the lines. The market was still not super packed on a weekday afternoon, giving a relaxed vibe. Definitely recommend the churros -- they were worth the calories! Mexican hot chocolate was good but wasn't amazing so I'd skip that. Travel mate also vouched for the churro ice cream sandwich, which looked delicious. Try to finish it all since it isn't good the next day.

Yelp
A bit of a disappointment. They don't open at 10am as indicated. And half of the stands were closed at 8pm. The baguette place was pricey. I recommend the wings place instead

Yelp
Great spot, local flavors, bright colors, lots of options. Even non-food items upstairs that can be gifts for friends or even yourself. They don't really speak English here (at least the few booths we tried to talk to), so it's definitely a local joint. THE WAIT: Not crowded at all around 10am on a Wednesday. Most people were at the very first taco bar or in the seating area at the back with the planters on the wall. We couldn't get a seat at the taco stand at the very front but just stood there and ate our tacos. The service is fast. THE COST: 40 pesos for two tacos. THE FOOD: We got a Chicarrone and Al Pastor taco at the stand at the very front. They couldn't speak English so we accidentally got two. The square tortilla (I believe flour) was unique, and it was super soft & fresh. The Al Pastor was tender and delicious. The Chicarrone was flavorful, but too fatty for us (and this was the one we didn't mean to order). See my picture as well!

Yelp
Cute location but had the most DISGUSTING tostados in my life at La Xaiva. Avoid like no other.

Yelp
Really cute high-end "market" - essentially a covered space with a variety of food and drink vendors. I don't remember which stalls I ate from, but I had some great tacos, a really yummy mango mezcal margarita and some decent Indian food. Will be a regular weekday dinner spot.

Yelp
Mercado Roma has a variety of options to choose from, but I can't say everything looked appealing. I'm not at all a picky eater, so I find that a problem. The space itself is extremely crowded, but they have a larger area for seating (which is very limited). Restrooms are upstairs and clean. BUT the food is good once you've found something you like. I had the mac and cheese from the itty bitty Italian place and my boyfriend had the French dip. We returned a second day so we could get ice cream twice (in the back left corner). They are soft and delicious and very instagrammable! I will definitely return to get ice cream, but Mexico city has such good food offerings I may not return for food.
