The upmarket Greek spot in Notting Hill has a lovely little white-walled patio space that screams ‘a-bottle-too-many-but-who-cares’. "Like every episode of A Place In The Sun, this Greek spot has rustic wooden tables, faux shutters on the walls, and a charming outdoor terrace. Mazi is equally perfect for dinner with the family, the most romantic date this side of Santorini, or a laid-back birthday involving a whole lot of tzatziki. "Within 10 minutes of being at this Notting Hill spot, you’ll smell fresh fish and mint in their vine-covered terrace that looks like the backyard of a villa from A Place In The Sun. The menu at Mazi is made up of classics—flecks of orzo pasta covered in cheese, with tiger prawns thrown in, or light calamari with a strong hit of citrus mayo—that deserve a bottle of white wine for company. "A real neighbourhood restaurant with a pure Greek heart, there is a wonderful buzz to the intimate Mazi. It’s one of those places where you can leave the decision making to the passionate, engaging team, who are ready to recommend their favourite Greek wines and dishes – such as the terrifically tender spiced lamb rump. The menu is designed for sharing so order a good range between you; for dessert however, it’s hard to look past the loukoumades.
