"Probably the classiest establishment in Lower Haight, Maven serves delicious brunch and dinner in a lofty, sleek setting. The duck hash for brunch and the duck sliders for dinner are among the most popular dishes on the menu. Sip on some delicious cocktails while soaking in the extra O2 from the beautiful vertical garden wall." - Amy Young

Food was so delicious, also loved the herbal tea and the chocolate mousse dessert. The cocktails were tasty. The service was great. It's a little loud inside when the place is busy, and you have to really speak up to have a conversation, but I didn't mind because my meal was so fabulous. The location is cool, in the lower Haight, but parking can be a little difficult.

Wasn't very impressed with dinner when I went a couple of years ago, but finally gave this place a shot at brunch and boy did Maven redeem itself. Eggs benedict were on the small side, but perfectly poached and stuffed with flavor, and the duck confit hash was equally delicious, with crispy duck over seasoned potatoes. Service at the counter with the bartender was perfect, making this a great spot for brunch, without the exhausting long lines of more well known SF brunch establishments.

Tasty food, cool venue. It was really fun to sit at the counter and watch the action in the kitchen! The egg bake was delicious.

Delicious, well-balanced and creative cocktails. I only ate the duck liver mouse but that was good enough to make me want to come back and try more! It had a great smooth texture; the strawberry mustard listed on the menu must have been mixed into the puree, it seemed to lend a bit of sweetness that mellowed the earthiness of the liver. The accompanying toasted English muffins had an abundance of golden crispiness that complement the liver to the point that one bite tasted a bit like a savory and sweet donut! Yum yum!

Good ambiance, good cocktails, good prices. Seems to be like the perfect trifecta. This day wasn't that busy but might have been due to the rain. They have a pretty good (and different) list of cocktails. Food is good but the menu options are not that wide.

Such a fun spot for happy hour. Food portions are on the smaller side but they have a good selection of food and cocktails.

Cute bar and restaurant. Great for dates. The Oxford Comma drink was witty and delicious. I also thought the food was great.

Food was good, service was fine, atmosphere was dark but comfortable. Can't give 5 stars because they messed up a simple drink order 3 times, and never got it right, so I just gave up trying to order a Moscow mule. If the bar tenders are reading this, a moscow mule is just ginger beer, vodka, and lime. After the second time the drink was wrong, the waitress said she would just place the order for ginger beer and vodka. They got it wrong too, so I just kept the last drink. I took a pic of the fireplace because the battery powered candles looked really cool...
