M.B. Post serves up creative farm-to-table American fare in a vibrant, reclaimed-wood space that buzzes with friendly energy and delicious small plates.
"The decade-old brunch menu at chef David Lefevre’s Manhattan Beach Post is as good as ever with bacon-cheddar biscuits, deep-fried chimichanga burritos, and cinnamon rolls on offer. It’s a South Bay favorite, especially for those who like to start their mornings on a breadier, pastry-centric note." - Eater Staff
"There’s a reason why this Bib Gourmand from chef/co-owner David LeFevre is one of the area’s buzziest spots. Featuring creative bites, the menu is as playful as the casual and fun space with something for everyone—just make sure to try their bacon-cheddar buttermilk biscuits. Diners can expect a $55 dinner menu at this Bib Gourmand during restaurant week. Inspector notes: “Everything revolves around gathering, conversing and sharing; portions are small so plan your ordering as a group to explore a majority of the menu. Weekends can veer towards loud and crowded with plenty of young families in tow, so this isn’t a place for anyone with a yen for calm.”" - Kevin Chau
"Just a stone's throw from Manhattan Beach Pier, this restaurant is big and buzzing. It's almost always packed, especially with plenty of young families, and they're all here for a taste of Chef/co-owner David LeFevre’s globally minded creations with a clear California point of view. Head-on Caledonian blue prawns ajillo atop diced potatoes with saffron mayonnaise. Beeler's Farm pork porterhouse is grilled and accompanied by Asian pear kimchi and a black mustard sauce. Everything revolves around gathering, conversing and sharing, and portions lean small, so plan your ordering as a group to explore a majority of the menu." - Michelin Inspector
"When this cheffy, farm-to-table-esque restaurant opened in 2011, the Manhattan Beach food scene was basically known for pancakes and a well-placed Sharkeez. MB Post changed all that. And while it might not be as groundbreaking as it once was, it still sets the standard for Manhattan Beach dining. The vibe is upscale but relaxed, and everything from the brussels sprouts to the skirt steak is worth ordering. But it’s the weekend brunch situation that really wins our heart—set your sights on a plate of cheddar bacon biscuits." - Brant Cox, Nikko Duren, Garrett Snyder
"You’re all going to the beach for a group hang and need something in your stomachs before you spend all day in the sun. M.B. Post is a good neighborhood spot that takes reservations, has a ton of space, and a crowd of people who seem like they actually know how to surf. The bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits are a mandatory order, but if you’re looking for even more breakfast meat, they also serve a bacon-infused Bloody Mary." - brett keating
