"A taste of home This is one for when you are feeling homesick: Mama’s is a welcoming, American-style bakery run by ex-banker Matt and his Italian wife Cristina who serve up (delicious) freshly-baked bagels, muffins, cheesecake and other specialties from across the pond. Birthday cakes, pumpkin pies and other special occasion cakes are made to order and savoury choices include club sandwiches, filled baguettes, salads and soups. Mama’s is a reference point for Florence’s Anglo-American community, so it’s a useful place to meet other travelers and source local information."

A fantastic bakery with a very friendly and relaxing vibe. Mama’s Bakery not only has the best bagels i’ve had in Florence in my opinion, but many great options to choose from. I got Mama’s special, on a soft delicious bagel made with quality ingredients. My cappuccino was pleasant with a nice subtle flavor. A great spot to get your bagel fix, and chill with some nice garden scenery!

Ordered a cappuccino, a bagel with cream cheese and a pastry and the bill came out to $5. Not the best bagel i’ve ever had but it curbed my craving, plus I haven’t been able to find other places that serve it. Great place to sit and relax. Very spacious interior and looked like it had an outside area out back. Employees were nice as well. Overall had a great experience here!

Had a quick visit a while back and loved it so much! A nice cozy place, would definitely be a perfect spot for working. Loved the options available, a nice change from Italian pastries I’ve been having lately.

We went here for the bagels after reading positive reviews. We found really tasty and well baked bagels in a variety of styles either to take away (1 Euro at time of writing) or to eat in for slightly more. Toppings like cream cheese and peanut butter. Nice tasking brew coffee and overall just a really pleasant place to chill, relax, have a good inexpensive breakfast or brunch. Would highly recommend!

Nice spot to have a breakfast, though not exactly the traditional brunch as advertised. The menu offers only two sweet options (pancakes -small portion- or french toasts -pretty good) or one savery (eggs Benedict).
