"Whether Louie’s is a bar with great pizza, or a pizzeria with great drinks doesn’t matter, because as long as they keep pairing martinis with bread covered in cheese, you’ll be happy. They’ve been serving some of the best thin-crust pizza in Dallas for over 30 years and you’ll want to start your night here or grab a bite after a long day. It’s a tough choice between the sausage and onion pizza and the pepperoni jalapeno pizza, but if you come with enough people, just get both. And then secretly order the spaghetti and giant meatballs as well, because when you’re drinking that many martinis, it’s the responsible choice." - Landen Kerr

The food was outstanding. I ordered a 12-inch thin crust pizza for $13, which was a great value. Having been away from New York for the past four years due to military service, I’ve always held New York pizza as the gold standard—it’s simply the best. One of the staff mentioned this was Chicago-style pizza, specifically from Louie’s, and I must admit, it was exceptional. Chicago and New Yorkers share a reputation for being tough and direct, qualities I admire. In contrast, Texans often come across as overly sensitive and thin-skinned, with a friendliness that feels superficial to Northerners like myself. This was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The cheese and crust were excellent, and the service was fast and efficient. Don’t be deterred by the one-star reviews—they likely come from competitors offering subpar pizza. Louie’s delivers a truly outstanding experience.

I used to go to Louie's in the late 80's, but I never realized they served food, my friends and I just went for drinks, lol. So Saturday night I was invited for dinner and let me just say it was all so delicious. I loved their Ceasar Salad, Pepperoni Pizza and their Shrimp Scampi. Their Red Wine was good too. We had a 20 minute wait but we'll worth it. Not a place if you like nice and quiet more for a fun loud dinning experience. Our waitress was very nice and attentive even though she was very busy. I most definitely will go back.

The pizza? Wow. Really good. The staff is not rude, but they aren't overly friendly either. It's atmosphere is more like a bar than a restaurant, and it's nothing fancy. The parking is absolutely terrible. Nothing really close, and it's a sketch neighborhood. With all that said? The pizza is worth it.

The pizza and vibes were great!! They are sassy and busy so don’t ask for anything you don’t need and be ready to order haha we’ll be back but smaller groups are better. There was only one table for a 7 top.

Bar smelled funky. Pizza was average. Good bar pie. Cheese was good loved the crust, sauce was awful. Service was A1.

Louie's has been in Dallas for decades! I always try and find spots in Dallas that have been around a while and try them. It was packed 20 minutes after opening, so get there early. The pizza was wonderful, cut into squares. I loved the atmosphere of the whole place, definitely want to go back again!

Extremely rude staff - pizza was good but not worth sitting through that service. It’s like going to Dicks Last Resort, but it’s not a joke here. Save your time and money, go somewhere that acts like they are happy you’re there

We saw Louie's on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. We have family from Waukegan, IL so we had to try it out. I had a pizza & my husband had the meatball sandwich. We were not disappointed. The meatball sandwich had great flavor. The Meatballs were not dry. The sauce & cheese combination was really well done. I had a hamburger, onion & bacon pizza on their thin crust. It was absolutely killer. They know how to make a pizza. The crust was thin, flaky & done just right. The sauce was unlike a pizza sauce I've had before. It was a mild tomato flavor & not overpowering in the slightest. Absolutely recommend their food. My only criticism is they could use more parking.
