Entirely crowd-funded on Indiegogo, the concept is both simple and revolutionary: Choi and Patterson believe that fast food is the way it is simply because it's being puppeteered by suits at big corporations, rather than chefs. As Choi explains: "You wouldn't have record execs making the music, right? That's what musicians do. But right now, cooks aren't designing the food that most people are eating. The suits are. Let's get back to chefs making the food and the moral choices for the people. Let's get in and cook. And that's exactly what they're doing: Fresh, delicious, really well-priced "fast" food, like Korean-inflected cheeseburgers and fried chicken sandwiches. Heard about this place a lot and was excited to try it. Got the chili bowl, which at first bite wasn't great but really grew on me and really enjoyed. The fried chicken sandwich was not impressive and the Patty tasted like the frozen kind. Sauces and bread were good though. Excited to try the rest of the stuff on the menu. Prices are excellent and can't be beat for what you get. The music was too loud though and they had open screens so it was cold in there too. Otherwise pretty building and interior. Staff was great too.

Good food. Super affordable. I like the seating set up. It's communal and playful. And I love how security is called ambassador and they don't kick out some of the community members who have nowhere else to go. Take a 10 minute walk thru the community to the watts tower before or after!

I’m not sure as to where all of these recent reviews are coming from but this restaurant has been closed and boarded up for over a year. I know this because I live in the community. When they were open, the staff was dwindling and the customer service was terrible. The staff was rude, did not clean the food areas, and gave attitude when they were asked to do basic things or answer simple questions. Over time food became cheap and greasy. You get what you pay for. The food quality was nothing like it was when the place first opened and it was filled with reporters and newscasters. Extremely disappointed. Especially with the fake reviews being written. Another publicity call in an underserved community.

Love it! The neighborhood spot. Chicken is crispy and not too salty, served hot - potatoes are roasted and fried but not heavy or crunchy. Got a 3 leg and potatoes combo and it was way more than enough - they must have given me more than a whole potato lol.

I love this place. This is the second time I have been here. The menu has changed just a little but the food is STILL VERY GREAT! I love the flavors and tastes of everything that I order. The portions are HUGE and the prices are VERY CHEAP! ($) This location is in Watts. Don't be afraid to stop by and get better food here than some of the places in Beverly Hills. This is a modern place in the middle of Watts. Plenty of parking on the main street. The neighborhood isn't the best but again, don't be afraid. You can feed your entire family of (4) for under $20. Can't beat that!!! Workers are from the community. They are very nice and will help you with the menu if you need it. The do need to get some AC in there for the summer time. There is absolutely no air or fans. I pray they change that soon so that the employees don't have to suffer during heat waves.

I had a really pleasant experience on my visit. The staff was helpful and friendly. I ordered from a touch screen station an the food was ready in no time. I ordered a foldie ($2), classic cheeseburger ($4) and a tangerines orange water ($1). The food was reasonably priced and really good. I will definitely go there again.
