Lockeland Table offers a cozy, upbeat vibe in East Nashville with Southern-inspired dishes and wood-fired pizzas that keep diners coming back.
"At East Nashville neighborhood favorite Lockeland Table, chef Hal Holden-Bache puts a new spin on a Nashville icon with crispy pork belly and empanadas, but there’s also a lot more going on here. Order some of the city’s best seasonally adorned wood-fired pizza and red Thai curry mussels. The restaurant’s reconstructed storefront is a nod to the original 1930s H.G. Hills store that once called the space home. —JGJ" - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Ellen Fort
"Lockeland Table is like the Mr. Rogers of restaurants—it’s comforting, kind, and legitimately happy to be your East Nashville neighbor. The wood-and-brick dining room and menu are equally homey, and the latter includes platters of smoked bone marrow, empanadas, and wood-fired pies. Instead of your usual Happy Hour, Lockeland hosts a “community hour” Monday through Saturday from 4-6pm with $7 drinks and snacks, with a portion of proceeds going to parent-teacher groups of schools in and around Nashville. Such a neighborly thing to do. " - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak
"WHEN: Monday-Saturday, 4-6pm THE DEAL: $7 snacks to share, $7 drinks, $8.50 kids menu They say raising a child takes a village, but maybe it actually takes a community. So, when you’re looking for a patio hang with your other parent-friends, make sure Lockeland Table is in your rotation. They have a thriving Happy Hour, coincidentally, called “Community Hour,” that benefits local PTOs. The kid-focused “youngins” menu has stuff like cheese pizza or chicken tenders with a side of sliced apples and peanut butter. For all the adults, there’s crispy chicken wings, white bean and rosemary hummus, and New York-style cheese pizza with chili oil, alongside lemon drop cocktails and muddled Old Fashioneds. If you want to keep things interesting, ask your server for the daily sangria blend." - adam sloan
"The kids’ menu at Lockeland Table features smaller versions of the essential East Nashville restaurant’s popular wood-fired pizza, plus special kids’ sides and desserts that include mac and cheese, roasted veggies, and Oreo balls. Though the attractive space can feel a bit small for maneuvering children, an additional side patio makes a great option for family dining." - Ellen Fort, Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"You’ll find rustic, farm-to-table fare at this longtime East Nashville staple. Housed in a restored 1930s dry goods store, Lockeland’s known for its pillowy, wood-fired pies and hearty starters like crispy pork belly and empanadas. Take advantage of discounts during Community Hour Monday through Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m., which also gives back to school PTOs around Nashville." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
