Lebanon 🇱🇧, Beirut.
The restaurant is located in an incredibly beautiful historic building filled with antique details and refined décor. The interior is stunning — it’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design. High ceilings, elegant furniture, and large mirrors create a sense of space and grandeur, making the atmosphere feel truly luxurious.
FOOD:
This restaurant specializes in traditional Lebanese cuisine, focusing on mezze and grilled dishes.
We ordered hummus, the traditional salad fattoush, and a mixed grill for two.
The salad was made with fresh, high-quality vegetables — cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. However, the dressing was extremely acidic. The level of acidity was so strong that it literally stung the tongue, making the salad difficult to eat. Perhaps this reflects the authentic local style, but for our taste it was overwhelming. The staff kindly remade the salad, removing the acidic dressing and leaving only olive oil — and it became very enjoyable.
The hummus was excellent. The balance of chickpeas, spices, and acidity was just right. Lebanese hummus is one of my favorites because of this balance, and here it was prepared very well.
The true highlight of the meal, however, was the mixed grill. The chicken and lamb skewers were incredibly tender and juicy, practically melting in the mouth. They were perfectly seasoned with salt and spices. It may have been one of the best grilled kebabs we’ve had recently. The kafta kebab was also outstanding — soft, juicy, and made from high-quality minced meat without any tough bits. Grilled meats are clearly the strongest side of this restaurant.
SERVICE:
Service was friendly and efficient. The staff helped us choose dishes and kindly adjusted the salad to better suit our taste.
VERDICT:
An excellent restaurant, especially suitable for a special occasion. The interior is breathtaking and makes you feel surrounded by luxury. Combined with delicious food and attentive service, it creates a memorable dining experience. Prices are slightly above average, but for a place of this level they feel justified.
