"La Pecora Bianca is expanding once again. The popular Italian spot, which first opened in Nomad in 2015, will be opening its largest location yet on Bryant Park at the new Park Terrace Hotel at 18 West 40th St. next summer. Beyond the antipasti and pasta at the other locations, the menu will expand to dishes from a wood-fired oven and a pastry kitchen that serves a take-out bakery up front with paninis, pastries made in-house, and seasonal focaccia owner Mark Barak says. The restaurant will also provide room service for the hotel. Popular stand-bys from chef Cruz Goler such as gramigna with pork sausage, broccolini, chili flakes, and garlic; gnudi with sheep’s milk ricotta; and cauliflower with pickled raisins, almonds, and mascarpone will also be on the menu. While the initial restaurant was a rustic room, and the Midtown offshoot had a more residential feel with bookcases and iconic photos, this 200-seat rendition will lean Mediterranean. Barak is going for an Amalfi coast vibe with blue accents against a black-and-white room. It’s been a rapid rise for the stylish Italian restaurant, which since opening in 2015 has spread to now three locations." - Beth Landman

Google
great place, great service, fair prices, great food. as many reviews said, we were walking by and stopped by this place as per recommendations and it was a total win. everything since the beginning helped the experience. we had a couple entries, classic arugula salad and fried zucchini and then penne vodka and other pasta for mains. the pastas were really good. this is a place i would be coming back regularly if in New York

Google
Excellent meal! One of my favorite places to eat when I’m in the city. Everything we’ve ever ordered is excellent - all the apps and pastas! Also you HAVE to get the tiramisu. It’s incredible.

Went on a nice Saturday brunch at this. Very typical Italian place. The one thing I would like to come on is their service our server had constant attention to our table and was very courteous. We ordered vodka rigatoni pasta with burrata cheese. Although the quantity for lunch was comparatively smaller, I loved the cook on the pasta, and the sauce was lipsmacking too. The burrata cheese was good but I have had better. The pizza was oven baked and was delicious too. The best part of our brunch was the humongous tiramisu. It’s a must dry here and it completely blew our minds off. Will definitely return again for the dessert.

Google
Best tiramisu I’ve had. I’ve been to many places globally and across Italy and this one is amazing! The menu says for 2 but 4 can easily get a good amount sharing. We also had the vodka pasta, Campanelle, and lemon cream pasta and they were all good! Milanese and fried zucchini were amazing too!

Google
Really lovely Manhattan dining experience. Classy and elegant Italian food. It was super busy but we didn’t feel rushed. I can’t remember everything we ordered (everyone seemed happy with their dish) but I do remember this amazing Tiramisu!! I did try this dessert although I usually avoid dairy and it was worth it. I gave 3 stars on food only because as a dairy-free and meat-free eater there were not many choices, but I also didn’t expect a plant based menu at this establishment. I would go back!

Google
Lapear, Bianca and Brian Park is a must try restaurant. The pastas are made fresh in house and highly recommend you try a pasta dish. The Caesar salad is a must and the tiramisu is more like for three people. The olive oil cake was a complete disappointment.

Google
Allergy-friendly, great service and ambience. Pasta was chewy but otherwise a great flavor, and waiter Sami was great! I have nut allergies and she quickly reassured me about every item I ordered. I could even eat the house-made tiramisu! Ambience inside is lovely.

Google
The gluten free pasta is delicious! Best part of it is that it doesn’t feel like you’re missing out on the flavour of regular homemade pasta. Drinks were yummy, the staff was helpful and attentive. Service was excellent & efficient. Beautiful place as well.

Yelp
Discovering La Pecora Bianca in SoHo was an unexpected yet delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the restaurant's stylish yet inviting atmosphere. The decor struck a perfect balance between modern elegance and rustic charm, creating a warm and welcoming vibe that instantly made me feel at ease. The lighting was soft, the seating comfortable, and the overall ambiance set the perfect tone for an enjoyable meal. After browsing the menu, I decided to try the house-made tagliatelle bolognese, a dish that truly showcased the restaurant's commitment to authentic Italian flavors. The moment my plate arrived, I could tell that this was going to be something special. The pasta was beautifully prepared, with a perfectly tender yet slightly firm texture that only comes from fresh, handmade pasta. The bolognese sauce was rich, hearty, and deeply flavorful, with just the right balance of slow-cooked meat and tomato goodness. Each bite felt like a taste of Italy, bringing to mind memories of traditional trattorias where every dish is made with love and attention to detail. Beyond the incredible food, the service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions about the menu and make thoughtful recommendations. Their warmth and hospitality only added to the experience, making the evening feel even more special. La Pecora Bianca has certainly left a lasting impression, and I can't wait to return. With such an inviting setting, expertly crafted dishes, and top-notch service, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking high-quality Italian cuisine in the heart of SoHo. Next time, I plan to explore more of their menu--perhaps a pizza or one of their famous spritzes during aperitivo hour!

Yelp
Been waiting to try La Pecora Bianca since it's been popping up all over NYC and I heard good things. Snagged a last minute same day reservation after work on a Tuesday. The restaurant was PACKED! Hostess was very friendly, was seated as soon as my party arrived ( they sat us in the front area, which is very quiet and secluded). Our waitress was great, his boy was very attentive. The food was mediocre, which was very disappointing. I started with the whipped ricotta, which is my new favorite app, yelpers raved about it. The ricotta was very creamy and topped with a truffle honey, the flavor was very faint, but still tasty, needed more honey. Served with a few pieces of bread, not enough for the whole dish. The waitress brought us over some more bread, which was served cold, would have been 100 times better if it was warm or toasted. For entrée I tried the special truffle tagliatelle $38. The portion was on the smaller side, very bland, needed lots of Parmesan cheese to give it some taste. They were also frugal with the sauce. Overall a nice spot, but not worth the hype or the prices.

Yelp
My bf and I had a date here the day after Valentine's Day. We were sat promptly for our reservations at the front of the restaurant. The booths were very comfortable but it was very annoying with the cold wind gusting in aggressively each time the door was open. We ordered three dishes to share: the branzino, the pork chop, and the bolognese with burrata. The pork chop was the best dish by far, fantastically seasoned and cooked perfectly. The branzino was also cooked well but I thought the spinach underneath was underwhelming. The bolognese was ok, pretty standard and nothing to write home about. I felt like the sauce lacked flavor but the pasta was cooked al dente. I also think you could skip on the burrata - it did not taste that fresh. I would be willing to come back just for the pork chop, but the other two dishes were just ok.

Yelp
What a phenomenal experience. Did not feel rushed, staff was very attentive and food was truly delicious. P.S. Pizzas are huge! Forgot to take a picture of that part.

Yelp
Reservations recommend, nice brightly lit restaurant with average noise levels, and a friendly staff! Order consisted of Zucchini "Fries" ($15) which I highly recommend and Garganelli ($27) based on what fellow Yelpers suggested. Yelpers don't go wrong! This is the first time I had a pleasantly garlic-y experience where the garlic over powered arugula pesto! Not complaining though! The Garganelli itself was a little disappointing and had a little too much of a chew than I was expecting. Service was excellent and food arrived within 15 mins of ordering. Perfect place for a quick work lunch and will be an easy pick if I see one of their restaurants around!

Lexie K.

Yelp
Great location next to Bryant park with fast attentive service. Very busy but they accept walk ins, if you don't have a reservation. Downstairs seating with another bar down there as well. It's relatively loud but nothing more than an average nyc spot. - Aperol Spritz- classic. Good flavor. - Hugo Spritz- refreshing. Great elderflower flavor. Mild and not overpowering - Rigatoni- all pasta is made in house. Super fresh. Very al dente and chewy. Sauce vodka sauce is great. -Crispy artichokes- lemon aioli is fabulous. Slight tart with a creamy finish. Lots of garlic. Artichokes are tender and outside has a slight crisp - Little Gem Caesar- classic. Nice crunch on top. Good dressing with slight tartness to it

Yelp
Went to La Pecora Bianca December 2024. Would give my experience a 3.5 if I could. We were seated near the door and weren't able to avoid the draft so it was a bit chilly. Food overall met expectations! However, it didn't exceed them. We ordered the following: Meatballs - Classic meatball experience Crispy Brussel Sprouts - not as crispy, retained a lot of moisture Gargenelli - pasta was well-made! Loved the chewiness of it. I'm a huge fan of mushrooms and I was partial to this dish. Favorite of the night. Chicken Milanese - well cooked chicken but seasoning a tad salty. We felt a tad rushed by the staff. To order and to eat. We weren't served our mains before our leftover appetizers were packed in a take away box which was odd. Table size couldn't accommodate so many plates.

Christian A.

Yelp
The pasta itself is incredible and we had no problem getting a table. If you're craving a plate of great pasta, this could be an option if you're in the area.

Leah S.

Yelp
Five stars for our outstanding Saturday Brunch at La Pecora Bianca! Conveniently located near the train station, we loved finding a new spot to hit on our city trips! Everything we had was outstanding from the pancakes, salad, and cocktails. Service was exceptional. We had no trouble getting a table despite the lively weekend brunch crowd. We would definitely return for brunch, lunch, or dinner!

Sejal S.

Yelp
A wonderful restaurant in the heart of bryant park. I loved this menu because there are so many options and things to try. We did make a reservation and when we got to the restaurant we were immediately seated. For a small place there is a good amount of seating. Once we got seated our waiter was great, and our food came quickly. Everything was great, tasty and fresh. Overall a wonderful experience, there are different locations throughout the city but would be back when I am in the area again!

Alexa L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it here. Came with my mom for a city date and we definitely over ordered but the food and ambiance was great. They honor their reservation times and text you when it's almost time for your party to be seated. Tried their whipped ricotta that everyone raves about and it was hit! This is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of ricotta too - theres something about that truffle honey and the airy ness of the ricotta on the bread which was amazing. I had to ask for a second helping of bread. The calamari with the aioli - omg yes. So good. The pasta, also great although my campanelle had a little bit of heat to it so if you're not into spice, I'd skip this and try something else. I also thought how you pay was interesting, they leave the QR code on your table so you can conveniently pay and go. Great ambiance and food, and next to Bryant park. I'll definitely be back.

Jorge P.

Yelp
Same as the NoMad one! A small chain for pretty solid pasta. Wouldn't say it's anything extraordinary, but it's always consistently above average! Service and atmosphere is always great as well. You can also add burrata to any pasta dish if your choice which is great!

Edelyn C.

Yelp
Absolutely dreaming about my lunch here still... The honey in the Whipped Ricotta was the most perfect touch with the country toast! The crunch from the toast with the creaminess of the ricotta and hint of honey is a must to start your meal off here. THE dish of this work trip was definitely the CAMPANELLE. Wow! The chef cooked the pasta perfectly and the al limone sauce combined with the parmesan is the pasta I never thought I'd need more of in my life. I would seriously go straight here on my next trip...from the airport. The roasted shrimp really topped this dish off, cooked just right with the right of smoke from roasting it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant. I walked in before the lunch hour on my last day in NYC and I'm glad I got there just before 11am because it seems to get really packed. It's literally across Bryant Park so it's in a beautiful location as you can stroll the park and its' shops after a tummy full of happiness.

Taylee M.

Yelp
This is the nicest La Pecora Bianca in the City and I would take clients here fairly often given it's nicer ambiance. Service can be slow but the food is good. Any of their pastas are great and I always recommend topping it with their fresh burrata. My favorite thing on the menu is actually one of their appetizers: whipped feta with honey, olive oil, red pepper flakes and bread!

Tara M.

Yelp
Pasta was delicious and Al dente. We loved both! Restaurant is huge and was packed. If coming before a Broadway show, make sure to get in around 6 because the food does take a little bit of time. The dessert was yummy and simple. Interior is sleek and dark, a great place to meet with friends.

Gabby V.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of LPB and have been numerous times, but this was the first time I'd ever gone for brunch. We sat in the "library" downstairs and it was pretty cute/quiet, which was nice because it was busy upstairs. The food was super good, per usual. Would def recommended the whipped ricotta, I think I get this every time I come here!

Jamie L.

Yelp
This place is always buzzing and packed, so I finally made a reservation to see what the hype was about. We started with the zucchini fries, and I was surprised--they didn't look like typical fries but more like fried ravioli. Despite the unexpected presentation, they were absolutely delicious! Definitely don't overlook the zucchini fries. The calamari was decent, though nothing particularly standout. The Margherita pizza was fantastic, and the tagliatelle with pork and beef bolognese was equally impressive. The menu is fairly straightforward, offering a select range of options without being overwhelming. I'd definitely come back!

Trinity F.

Yelp
Took me back to Italy! I ordered their Garganelli pasta which was creamy and rich in flavor (and pesto!). Their wine selection is also excellent, and their tiramisu is so cute! Part of the reason why I came here too :) They also have pretty comfortable seating. Do be sure to make a reservation beforehand!

Em R.

Yelp
My friends always talk about this place so luckily I was able to get a reservation at this location. It was very busy, the ambiance was nice. We got seated immediately once my friends arrived. We were seated at the corner booth which was perfect. We ordered the meatballs, burrata, and whipped ricotta for our appetizers. The meatballs were my favorite. For our main entree, my friend and I both ordered the rigatoni and my other friend ordered the garganelli. I enjoyed my pasta, portion was generous and delicious. My friends also enjoyed their pastas and thought it was very good. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu, great presentation and tasted amazing. Service was also on point. I would definitely come back and check out the other locations.

Victoria K.

Yelp
I love La Pecora Bianca. This is the second location I've tried and it was just as enjoyable as the previous one. I didn't realize that the brunch menu doesn't start until 11am (our reservation was at 10am) so we had a more limited menu for breakfast than the one I was prepared for. I didn't get to order the pasta dish I had wanted, but even with that disappointment, we all loved what we ordered. Our selections ranged from the ricotta pancakes to the breakfast sandwich and the cacio e pepe eggs benedict. We also LOVED the strawberry limoncello spritzers and couldn't get enough of them. Oh yeah, and the tiramisu is both adorable and delicious! Highly recommend it. Also, our servers (one's shift ended and another took over) were both phenomenal. Service is definitely one of the best things I've noticed from my visits to these restaurants and they are only second to the wonderful food. 10/10

Yelp
I had mixed expectations about this restaurant but am happy to confirm they were well and truly exceeded. The pastas are divine. I was impressed with the range of vegetarian options and accommodation for a gluten-free diner too. The decor is chic and modern -- feels like you're dining in the living room of a luxury mansion. Service was fine, slightly underwhelming but no complaints overall there.

Emina S.

Yelp
Got a dinner delivery for 3 recently! really 3.5 stars Ordered: local burrata w/ peaches, house salad, roasted Brussels sprouts , Gramigna pasta, Garganelli pasta w mushrooms, Margherita pizza, Gem caesar, Branzino entree, whipped ricotta w/ toast, roasted cauliflower, broccolini They forgot to include toast for the whipped ricotta but luckily it was mild enough to use with a few of the other dishes -- no noticeable truffle honey flavor but it was a decent ricotta (and burrata) Roasted Brussels sprouts were waaay too charred, really saucy which i usually wouldn't like but i didn't mind them tbh. the cauliflower w pickled raisins = 9/10. i will always dislike a caesar salad that i have to cut up myself but their gem caesar had a dressing that was tangy enough to keeping me intrigued. sadly, it had no croutons. and no, microscopic breadcrumbs do not count! broccolini needed more seasoning. pastas were al dente, nothing amazing, but good. super oily, though. -all around such a solid meal. love the menu as a whole!

Helen S.

Yelp
Easy breezy Italian, always hearty and filling and service always very quick no matter how busy and crowded it gets (and it often does!). Lighting is warm and bright and inside has high ceilings despite it being an otherwise pretty small and often crowded place. My friend and I were sat at the narrow communal table in the middle but still had plenty of space to eat and drink. Private rooms available downstairs that are much more spacious.

Josh R.

Yelp
I came for dinner and ordered the margherita pizza. The pizza was good and had a lot of flavor! The only downside to this place is that it's a little pricey.

Barbara B.

Yelp
Perfect lunch before we headed to show. The fried artichokes were a delicious start . All the pasta is homemade. The two favorites for our group were the pumpkin ravioli and the bolognese. Both were tasty and perfectly portioned. My only complaint was there was no bread .. Will was a great server who checked on us often without being obtrusive.

Terri S.

Yelp
Anytime a restaurant has multiple locations I am skeptical about food quality; however this Italian restaurant was recommended by someone from Sicily, so I had figured it had to be good! I arrived on time and they seated me, even though the other 3 people were all stuck in traffic and running 30 minutes late. We were seated downstairs (in the Library which look nothing like a library). It was lively (aka loud) upstairs or down; but that didn't interfere with our good time. I shared Garganelli and Toscano salad; both were excellent. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had abundant & delicious sauce. We added shrimp to our salad and it was a healthy balance to the creamy/cheesiness on the pasta. My friend who orders salmon all over NYC declared this dish was excellent. I'd confidently recommend this to others.

Pat L.

Yelp
Truly fantastic pasta, I've tried half the pasta dishes on the menu over several visits, and loved every one. My most recent trip I had cacio e pepe and it was perfectly done. Just the right texture, pasta perfectly al dente, nice fresh pepper. Their cocktails are also quite good, though I normally just get a nice negroni at the start and a glass of wine for the meal. The service is excellent, not overly present, but never a long wait for them to stop by. The vibe is very nice, feels upscale without stuffy at all. This has become my go-to italian spot in midtown. Highly recommend!

Sara B.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try La Pecora Bianca and am so glad that I finally did. They have a few locs around Manhattan and are super popular. I can see why! The pasta is absolutely incredible. I ordered the gramigna pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe and it was decadent. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and all of the ingredients worked so well together. You can add burrata to any pasta for $7 which is a must, and I devoured the entire bowl. It's a cute vibe for brunch and you can enjoy all of the brunchy drinks like cocktails and ice coffee. If you aren't feeling the lunch route there are some breakfast items like eggs and French toast. Service was speedy and we didn't have an issue getting a table for Sunday brunch without a reservation. I'll definitely be back!

Lakwan H.

Yelp
I am so happy I chose this place for dinner. I've had it on my list for over a year, and I'm thrilled I finally made it. I made reservations two weeks in advance and went with a group of friends. We were 12 minutes late due to traffic in the rain, but the hostess was lovely and immediately seated us. I absolutely loved the interior of this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect when I arrived, but I was definitely blown away. The warm lighting creates an intimate yet sociable atmosphere, with ample space between guests. Our waiter was amazing and attentive. I asked for suggestions on what to order because I'm so indecisive. He provided great recommendations and was very supportive in describing the flavors. He even shared the story behind the restaurant's name and was very kind throughout our meal. I went with the rigatoni, as the hostess mentioned it was the most popular dish. The pasta is made in-house, cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. I opted to add burrata and parmesan to my dish. We also tried the cacio e pepe balls, meatballs, and tiramisu. Everything was great, down to the drinks. I am already planning to return, this time with my partner. I want to try the chicken Milanese or the lamb ragu.

Sean K.

Yelp
Spectacular! Ambiance: super nice. Larger restaurant than expected. Very crowded (I went with a party of 6 on a Wednesday evening) with tight seating. Service: excellent as expected. Food and drink: so good. I don't even know where to start. I always get the scallops if it's on the menu, and I have no regrets ordering the scallops here. The only disappointment I can think of is they don't have beer on tap. But a can + cold glass gets pretty close. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've tried in the United States.

Yelp
I was walking by Bryant Park and happened upon this charming establishment! I realize it a "chain" but you realize why there are so many locations once you go here!!! The service was excellent, timely, and thoughtful. I went with a group of 4 people. We started with the vodka pizza, the sauce was divine and the crust was perfectly cooked. The burrata was flavorful and the stone fruit (peach) was so tasty! The entrees were delicious! I had the Gramigna, which has just the right amount of spice for someone who loves all things spicy! The pasta was cooked el dente and the flavors were exceptional My friends had the branzino which I also tried and found to be cooked well, seasoned to perfection, and served with the most delicious greens And the bolognese was no exception to all this! Finally we were stuffed but decided to split the tiramisu and boy were we glad! The sheep logo of the restaurant is stamped on the tiramisu and it was big enough for 4, maybe 6 people to share. It was creamy and not overly sweet! All in all I would go here again and again!!

Ryan L.

Yelp
Honestly I thought this place would be a tourist trap located right off of Bryant park. I was proved wrong! The food was amazing, our server was fantastic and the ambiance was immaculate. Very pretty dining area filled with light and high ceilings. I originally ordered a pasta dish but saw the burger delivered to a table nearby and had to have it. Luckily my waitress was able to make the switch for me and it was one of the best burgers I have had. I was shocked in the best way, a burger at an Italian spot seemed strange but I would do it all over again!

Nat P.

Yelp
What a cute dinner spot in Bryant park! Came here and already loved their decor. Very inviting! Was able to do walk in on a busy night and had great service! Very friendly staff. The highlights for me were garganelli and the tagliatelle. It was so good! You can tell it was house made. The way it was chewy and every bite was flavorful. Very nice! Their dessert was amazing too! Got the olive oil cake which tastes even better than it sounds! That rhubarb was on point! The only miss for me was the zucchini "fries" which they air quote around the word fries because they were not fries. Maybe it is because I expected actually zucchini cut into shape of fries but I did not find it tasty. But that is just me! Overall, lovely experience!

Pranav M.

Yelp
Came here on a recommendation same as most of my eats in New York. Was with a colleague and we had an 8pm reso, quite hungry. Sat in the back half of the restaurant, tables are pretty close together so you're kinda in the next tables conversation and it was a little hard to hear each other. Started with the roasted cauliflower and farro salad. It was really good, especially the salad which frankly could've been my whole meal. Had the garganelli, pasta, it was a little too al dente for me but still enjoyable.

Kathy M.

Yelp
4.5 stars for a modern take on italian food. Across from Bryant Park, we came here to carb load for our race and their pasta dishes didn't disappoint. We had the mushroom garganelli, topped with burrata- great flavor and still rich for a simple dish . Cacio de Pepe was good, pasta with vodka was rich and creamy, calamari was breaded well and not soggy, a little on the small side portion wise. Service was a little slow but friendly. We had to ask for our bread and other tables surrounding us were being served faster than us. Ambience is casual, cool and interior is pretty. They kept our reservations on time and service is friendly.

Beth R.

Yelp
Great location! We had reservations on Saturday night and it was a rainy busy night. We were a few minutes late due to the crowded streets and rain, They were super accommodating. Drinks-excellent., I had the cosmo. We have the zuchini fries for an appetizer which were excellent. I had the Garganelli with Burrata which was delicious and very filling. Everyone at our table loved their food and the service was wonderful. They were incredibly busy and could not have been more friendly. Definitely recommend this place especially if you have food allergies or diet issues.

Ashley K.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant, always get the rigatoni! Service is attentive. Great ambiance for a date night

Joyce E.

Yelp
Admittedly I did not want to be here. Travel day, late, just wanted a slice or two of pizza and to get settled in for the night so we & our adult kids (one with disabilities ) could rest up for the next day. We specifically told the hotel we did not want table service. Yet here we were. My husband was starving and although busy they were able to seat us. I had an attitude and did not want to be there. Well the sweet server & endless water refills started to soften me. Then the food arrived! It was some of the most delicious pumpkin ravioli I have ever had. Others enjoyed pizza, a vegetarian pasta dish and another pumpkin ravioli. Clearly I was hangry and LaPecora Bianca saved the night!!

Austin K.

Yelp
Came back here for lunch and still bustling. It was a little loud for a business lunch but worked out alright. Negroni: I tried both the sbagliato (which was surprisingly good and somewhat refreshing due to the prosecco) and the mezcal which I did like better and would get again. I think the white vermouth really rounded out the flavor. Negronis are so particular in flavor but I feel like most people could enjoy these Cocktails. The Zucchini fritters were good again and got the calamari as well which was good and crispy (comes with a tomato and a creamier sauce). I got the scallops + cauliflower dish which was delicious. The golden raisins and the sauce together completed the 4 scallops.

Cynthia Z.

Yelp
The food and service here were excellent. We did a walk-in for a party of 5 and were able to secure a table. The space is pretty large with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Garganelli Pasta with a cafe latte and they were both spot on. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and it was pretty big that it was just enough to share among the 5.

Jessica R.

Yelp
This spot is Classic, cannot go wrong here (or at any location). Food is tasty and well priced, and you'll always feel well taken care of. Pro tip! Go to the Bryant Park Location if you're feeling a little more fancy as this is the nicest location!

Marlore C.

Yelp
If you've read my reviews i generally have good things to say about places I've chosen to eat at in many parts of this country. Unfortunately, this WILL NOT be one of those times. For reference, we came in on a Sunday evening 9/15/2024, not too too busy but the restaurant was full. Right off the bat I have to say the service was TERRIBLE from the start. No friendly greeting or hello from our waiter, just "would you like still water." Next we asked if they had moscato wine since it was not on the wine list. He said yes and that's it. I would have hoped he would at least tell us some information about the wine we just asked about. Ok, fine I could overlook those things, and hoping for good food. We ordered a couple cocktails, the moscatos, an appetizer, salad, 2 pizzas and the New York steak with Parmesan butter. We ordered the steak medium rare. I have NEVER been brought a steak with butter laying on top of it, without the butter at least somewhat melting. To me that's a sign that they gave me either uncooked steak or they forgot to deliver it to the table when it was actually ready. But, I proceeded to cut it up and noticed the dang steak was NOT warm. I called the waiter over and told them about the situation. The manager came out and asked if we wanted it re-cooked or a new one! That was it! There was NO APOLOGY from the waiter or the manager, ever, during the course of these events. That was upsetting! They kind of made it seem like it was my fault for ordering a medium rare steak. My husband argued a bit with the manager because we were frustrated with how they approached this situation and this manager was just not sincere at all and basically said we are getting the steak for free anyway. Wow!!! Was this their way of apologizing and providing customer service at its finest??? What ashame and so disappointing! The restaurant was cute but not that cute where customer service should be sacraficed. Sadly, we chose this place for dinner on our one day in NYC and it fell very short of a satisfying meal. The only thing we enjoyed was the appetizer and the ambiance. But that does not make up for their customer service and uncooked or left out steak. Totally not worth my while. Mistakes will be made at restaurants... I get that. A sincere apology would have really diffused our anger and show that the restaurant is taking responsibility. As a Customer I would have appreciated honesty and would have been more likely to leave in a better mood and forgive the mistake if I felt the manager was accountable. That did not happen here at this restaurant. I'm giving 1 star for the appetizer

Yelp
La Pecora Bianca in New York, NY. With multiple locations around NYC, @lapecorabianca is always a go to spot. The aesthetic is on point but their Rigatoni with Burrata is number one . All pastas are house made and their homemade tiramisu is definitely worth getting! House Made Rigatoni with Burrata Negroni Whipped Ricotta truffle honey, country toast Bucatini cacio e pepe Tiramisu Insta: @thehungrysw

Yelp
A delicious spot for Italian eats with a beautiful ambiance -- this location is right next to the NYPL, so it was fun to snag lunch here and head on over to the iconic library! The vibes at this location were so bright and airy, really loved it. We stopped in on a weekday without a reservation and that was totally fine, but noticed that a lot of folks did have a res. The waiters were really attentive and whisked away empty plates since the table is fairly small. The Truffle Ricotta was SO. GOOD. I highly recommend getting that to share. I also really enjoyed my Vodka Pasta -- pro tip: save some of the ricotta to eat with your pasta. Overall, a lovely spot and I totally see myself coming back to try the pizzas next time!

Yelp
My mom and I stopped in briefly to get some drinks and a snack sort of in between lunch and dinner. Everything was great. We got espresso martinis, the bread with ricotta, and the farro salad. We were particularly surprised with how delicious the farro salad was.

Yelp
Excellent lunch experience with shared dishes; meatballs were robust and the gramigna pasta was excellent. Chicken Milanese had the right amount of crispiness for texture.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to Italian spots in the city. I found out about it from a friend who grew up in Northern Italy, and it's a place we keep coming back to. For my appetizer, I always order the ricotta with honey. The bread is supposed to come toasted, but sometimes they forget to do this for us. When the bread does come out toasted, the combination of warm, crispy bread with the cold, sweet ricotta really hits the spot. I also really like the pasta pomodoro, which I order with strachiatella. The pasta is fresh, spongy, and absorbs the flavor of what it is cooked in. I've also had an amazing mushroom pasta here - rich, bold flavor while still being vegetarian. The dessert is not bad, but not the best I've had. The budino is rich with a ganache-like consistency. It's quite heavy, but it's the only Budino I've had, so no basis for comparison. The tiramisu is for two - it's quite large, and pretty good, but not the best I've had. This place is quite trendy, and the wait can be long if you don't make a reservation, but it's not hard to get a reservation in advance. The staff is busy but friendly. I've had a few who have gone above and beyond as well. If you're looking for good Italian food, I recommend this place for the savory stuff, but not as much for the dessert.

Yelp
Disappointed When you have a gold standard of how Italian food should taste, and you live with an Italian who likes to cook, you have a pretty good idea of when you are at a great restaurant or maybe just so-so. I typically am in the Broadway region of New York when I come to visit, so am always interested in finding a nice place to have dinner. La Pecora Bianca was easy to make reservations in, and it was nice to have a spacious place to sit downstairs where it was easier to have a conversation. All of the wait staff were 100% five stars.. When we sat up the bar to have a drink while waiting for our table to open, we had a menu in front of us that was not currently being offered, so I was a bit disappointed when we were seated and I was handed a different menu with that item not on it. There were also no specials, which seems odd if there is a professional chef on premises. Either lack of imagination or lack of interest.? I ordered the scallops, which surprisingly came appetizer-sized compared to the other food ordered, and other scallop dishes I have ordered at other restaurants. They were served on some kind of a pesto that resembled the taste of bland lettuce from a food processor. The scallops were also, sorry to say, overcooked and under seasoned. The pasta dish that my partner ordered did not offer anything interesting in the presentation, and was rather lukewarm. The sauce was ...sauce, Again, I have a gold standard of fresh Italian dining where I live in Massachusetts.(bNapoli), so I expect more than mediocre in the Big City. With all of the charm of the waitstaff, I was definitely expecting better food..
