I came here after visiting the Cosmo Caixa, since it was just a few blocks away we walked here and came across a hidden gem. Quite literally, the entrance to the restaurant is an arc with plants all around. We walk up a flight of stairs and enter the restaurant and order a table in the beautiful patio. Definitely suggest sitting outside if the weather is nice. Apart from the beautiful exterior, the interior has a homey feel to it, nice white linens clothe the tables, and comfortable chairs a definite plus. The aura was a excellent. But what of the food? Well, we started with an appetizer that was a four cheese ravioli accentuated with black truffle shavings, and pulled all together with a nice subtle white wine butter sauce, perfect start. The server brought out complimentary mixed olives, olive oil, bread, and what i believe was a spanish version of mozzarella sticks, but nothing like I've had before. They were crispy on the outside, gooey inside, served with just a touch of what seemed to be a greenish pepper jelly; wow, it was delish. For my entree, i had their daily catch, a lightly breaded monkfish topped off with red peppers and served with a lime cream to settle down the slight spiciness of the peppers. Simple but delicious. We finished our entrees and the server came by with a cart with all of their homemade desserts, and although i was completely full, my epicurean split personality overcame that and i inquired about one of the desserts in the cart. The server was very knowledgeable and sold me on a sweet thin bread with a layer of chocolate, followed by a layer sweet cheese(possibly mascarpone), and a final thin piece of bread that had a sweet honey glaze on top. It was fluffy, airy, and dreamy; i still have dreams that haunt me of this dessert. Wow. Sooo good. Fantastic restaurant, appropriately priced, excellent service with knowledgeable staff, and a perfect interior and exterior decor. Definitely recommend this for anyone traveling to Barcelona.
