"This Peruvian sandwich shop is your new favorite lunch spot. The well-decorated interior and quaint outdoor garden has a welcoming vibe, not unlike their other establishment, Pio Pio across the street. The menu is direct and to the point — seven made-to-order sandwich options, each one more tasty sounding than the next. You will not regret ordering the Lomo Saltado (stir fried beef and onions) or the Chicharron (crispy pork). Delish." - Diane Shaw

"If you spend time in Jackson Heights and generally aren’t afraid of or allergic to the sun, you need to know about Juanita’s. This spot makes excellent, giant Peruvian meat-filled sandwiches, and you can eat said sandwiches next to a fountain on their back patio, like the sort of person who normally eats their meals next to sculptures. Also - the walls here are painted lime green, and they’d would work well if you and your friend who went to art school wanted to, say, make a short CGI-enhanced film involving your chicharron sandwich. We’d watch." - Hannah Albertine

"Juanita’s Cafe pretty much only makes Peruvian sandwiches, and they’re really good. Each one comes on a giant, flat roll that’s soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, and you also get your choice of regular fries, sweet potato fries, or salad. Most of the sandwiches involve large chunks of meat, like the Chicharon, which has crispy pork shoulder, sweet potato mash, and a spicy salsa. Come with your family or a big group, try some chicha morada (a sweet Peruvian purple corn drink), and sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice." - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim

Great chicharrón sandwiches, and ceviche. Great place to relax or to watch a soccer game. The place is being dismissed by costumer besides the great place that it is. Could have better and fresher craft beer. ( I guess no many people drink around here, beer felt a bit old), could improve the café or get a new batista. Good decoration and great service.

Very good sandwiches and the salsa criolla was on point. Almost as good as in Peru, but comes very closed. Had the pan con chicharrón and salchipapa. Both good and service was very fast.

This is one amazing hidden paradise right at what is becoming the heart of Queens (at least i believe so) the menu is not a thousand item but believe me when i say that their sandwiches are exquisitely delicious! it is hard to decide wether to stay indoors or outdoors when everything is beautifuly decorated. My bet is you really have to go and and give it a try (too bad summer is over). Now, you may not like everything on the menu, but even their drinks will keep you not going, but rather staying!

Great place to grab a brunch. My choice always is the Lomo Saltado sandwich.

Indifferent service: Left after an unreasonable 20-minute delay getting the menu, followed by a long wait to give our order--which the waiter said he'd put in right away, but instead took the order of a group that came in after us. I'd enjoyed a nice sandwich here on a previous visit, but was sorely disappointed by the experience this time. We went to the excellent Laly's instead, a new place I've been wanting to try.

Very disappointing experience... thought of coming here 4 times prior but never did as it's a CASH ONLY business. Decided to try it out finally and service was sloppy. Ordered 2 plates and 3 were brought out - a small mess dealing with that as the waiter says we [2 ppl] ordered 3 plates. The waiter didn't write down our order which is common at some places but only if you're able to remember what was actually ordered. It's a sitdown place and the waiter asked if we wanted water, we said sure... he comes out with bottled water and opens them up as I was waiving him off to say no, I thought he meant from the pitcher/tap but he ignored my reaction and it was too late to send back as he opened the bottles. In addition, it's close to winter and currently about 45 degrees with little to no heat here. Add that with the average food, as there are countless of restaurants in the area, and I can easily say I have no reason to return or recommend this place.

I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich. It was enormous! It was easily enough food for two people, if not more. It also came with a large serving of thick-cut fries that I couldn't finish. After I finished the food I ordered, the server brought me a dessert "on the house." I'm writing this review seven hours later and I'm still full. I'll definitely go back, but next time I'm taking half my sandwich home with me.

First time here, and definitely coming back!! I am completely satisfied! The sandwiches were delightful to my palete. I recommend this place cause the food is good but even the ambient is super beautiful, the whole place is vividly colorful so it makes it fun. I had the sanguche de chicharron and my partner had the pollo a la brasa sanguche. We both loved it. We will be coming back real soon! Btw... the back is open so u get to eat and enjoy the weather plus theres also music ! Our waiter was polite and service was good.
