Review: Intercontinental Jeddah The Intercontinental Jeddah has a lot of potential, but it’s clear that the hotel is in desperate need of modernization. Upon entering, you’re greeted with the most beautiful aroma that immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere. The reception staff are very helpful and courteous, which sets a positive tone. However, the experience begins to decline once you reach the rooms. The rooms are outdated, with noticeable dirt in the corners and behind side cupboards. The bathrooms are particularly disappointing—mouldy, with showers inconveniently placed in baths. The balconies are equally uninviting, with dusty furniture and no effort to make the space usable or enjoyable. The view from the rooms is uninspiring, overlooking concrete rooftops that could benefit greatly from some greenery or landscaping to enhance the outlook. For a hotel of this stature, and given the upcoming global events such as the World Cup and Formula 1, as well as the focus on Vision 2030, it’s crucial that the property undergoes a thorough revamp. Modern, clean, and inviting facilities are essential to match the expectations of both international and local guests. While the location and service hold promise, the outdated infrastructure and lack of attention to detail in cleanliness significantly detract from the experience. I hope the management takes these points into consideration to restore the Intercontinental Jeddah to the luxury standard it aims to represent.

Both the facility and Service are very good. Mr. Yousef at the reception was very polite and always ready to help. The courtesy Arabic coffee and dates are so delicious. The open-air swimming pool is a luxury with sunshine and gentle breeze.The breakfast is rich of both local and international food.

It is an old hotel that was built with high standards. The rooms have been renovated but you can still feel they are getting old. What I like about this hotel is the great service. You have nice restaurants (seafood restaurant and a Brazilian meat restaurant). The main restaurant offers a very good buffet for breakfast and dinner with a nice variety of food . The gym is good and big but some of the machines need to be renovated. In summary I like to he hotel and recommend it.

A very beautiful hotel, the staff were excellent and the amenities were of a high standard. We will definitely be staying again. The hotel is 15mins from the airport and also has a great view point to the King Fahd fountain at an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We visited the hotel with my friend in the second half of October. I have to say that it’s truly a beautiful hotel with excellent services. Everything was absolutely perfect. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing, both in the main restaurant on the ground floor and in the impeccable Club Intercontinental on the third floor. We also tried the Spears restaurant, and both the food and service were outstanding. We even took advantage of the barber shop in the hotel, where we received excellent service, which we were very pleased with. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful Intercontinental hotels, and I highly recommend it for anyone staying in Jeddah.

My experience in Jeddah KSA was world class. There’s so much to say about the hospitality and vibe of the country. I want to especially want to thank Moayed at the front desk for his assistance on many levels. As a frequent traveler and visited the Middle East numerous times, KSA and the people were outstanding. Highly recommend the Kingdom and Intercontinental Hotel for travel.

They made me feel truly welcome and cared for.||The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and spa, were top-notch.||I was particularly impressed with the hotel's partnership with PressReader. Having access to a wide range of digital newspapers and magazines was a great addition to my stay. It provided me with entertainment and information during my downtime.||Overall, my experience at Intercontinental Jeddah was exceptional. A fine hotel in Jeddah located in the southern corniche area. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the city, yet is generally well-maintained. Staff are friendly and kind. The hotel has a few on-site restaurants, and a cafe. The hotel has a gym and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel also has 2 buildings; one for suites and the other for normal rooms. I booked 2 rooms here, and while one room was excellent, the other room had fungus smell. The surrounding neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, stores, and shopping centers. The hotel pricing is average. Some rooms have great views to the Red Sea.
