Hotel Palace Guayaquil

The best thing about this hotel is that they agreed to refund our payment since we decided not to stay there. It's old, moldy, smells bad, really bad, electric sockets in the room weren't functioning. There is NO safe in the rooms. It looks and feels like a 1 star hotel from the 1980's - which hasn't changed since then, or was ever aired in the last 40 years. I really don't understand its online rating. My guess is, people feel bad putting up a real review after they have received their refund. Cause the staff wasn't really surprised when we asked to leave.

Good location and junior suite is good size. Could use a couch as all the chairs were same style and not too comfortable.

Very good hotel, first class service. The people are very friendly. I will continue to stay at that hotel.

I had a great stay at this 4 star hotel, which I'll give it 10 stars. Located in downtown Guayaquil. My room was roomy with great A/C. The room was soundproofed since it was on the second floor. Breakfast buffet was great. The staff at the lobby, restaurant were great. They really made my stay comfortable.

After checkout bags were placed in “safe” storage behind the reception Apparently not so safe, as i just found out in plane that at least a bag of candy has been STOLEN from one bag… Will have to wait and see if more got STOLEN Ps: Also charge outrages prices for any extra service in the hotel

Top notch service - this is my favorite Guayaquil hotel. Quiet, comfortable and cozy rooms, always clean, and great and helpful staff.

Our stay in early May 2023 for three days was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped to arrange a reliable pick up from the airport which was around midnight. The restaurant staff were nice, and the food was very good. The room, lobby and restaurant were all kept very clean. The included breakfast was excellent along with the service (different than the evening staff). There was a variety of items – coffee, yummy hot chocolate, fresh fruit, yogurts, breads, along with hot items and you could order a verity of egg dishes made to order. The location was quiet and made it easy to access the Malecon.
