Nestled in Williamsburg, Hotel Delmano is a cozy cocktail haven reminiscent of old New York, perfect for intimate dates and delightful small bites.
"Outdoor seats at Hotel Delmano are typically as valuable a Williamsburg commodity as roof access and a spot at the front of the line for the L. But now that they’ve set up big, covered seating areas on Berry and on N 9th, you can enjoy the same people watching and phenomenal cocktails without the waits." - team infatuation
"Hotel Delmano should be your go-to date spot before a show at Music Hall. It feels like an old-timey members-only drinking club (in a cool, not annoying way), and both the drinks and food (small plates and raw bar) are very good. Just know it’s seating-only (no standing at the bar), and that it tends to get packed later in the night - so you might have to wait to get in if you don’t show up on the early side." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren
"If, for some reason, we could only go to one date spot in all of Williamsburg, it would probably be Hotel Delmano. It’s a little cocktail bar that feels like something you’d find on the ground floor of an old, possibly-haunted hotel, and you always get the impression that the servers and bartenders here only sort of care about you. In other words, it’s everything you want Williamsburg to be." - bryan kim
"If you want a quiet drink in Williamsburg, we recommend Hotel Delmano. It’s cocktail bar, but not a stuffy one, and the no-standing policy keeps things pretty mellow. You’ll still find a crowd here on any given night, and the atmosphere is perfect for a first, second, or 200th date. It’s dark, intimate, and it feels kind of like an abandoned hotel lobby that was turned into a bar. They also serve some small plates like cheese and oysters, and there are a few tables outside when it’s nice out." - bryan kim
"If you’ve spent the past decade frequenting The Commodore, and their signature piña colada is starting to take its toll, switch to a new Williamsburg bar, like Hotel Delmano. It’s a little more civilized here, mainly because there’s no standing room. In order to drink at this charmingly distressed bar, you have to be seated at a table, either in the front bar room or the intimate back area that’s usually filled with dates. The cocktails are very good, and not too prohibitively expensive at $15." - bryan kim
