"Run by the famous Spanish shoe brand, Casa Camper is a stylish boutique hotel neatly situated in the middle of Mitte’s hip fashion and culture district. Designed by Jordi Tió and Fernando Amat—the founder of Barcelona ’s iconic design store Vinçon—the devilishly good-looking interior is defined by clean lines and striking furniture set against rust-red walls. The rooms are deliberately minimal, with wooden floors and slick designer furnishings, but are decidedly comfortable and include eco-friendly touches such as water-recycling showers. Instead of an in-room minibar concept, the hotel offers a 24-hour buffet that is free for guests. Plus, the hotel's prime location ensures easy access to the swanky drinking, dining, and shopping options in the neighborhood."

Excellent location, 10 minute walk from S bahn station. Walking distance to all Berlin sights. Well set out room with everything you need. Coffee etc available on top floor 24 hours of the day, as well as an honesty bar. Big shower. Welcoming staff. Freshly made food for breakfast from the cafe on the ground floor.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Not a luxury with glitter but a clean, descent, open, modern hotel for all you need in a city centre of a great and alternative city like Berlin. Great staff, spacious rooms equipped with all you need. the modern decor of Camper provides this something extra!!

A modern, stylish hotel in a convenient location. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, and the lobby is super-stylish. Our room was spacious and comfortable- although we didn’t like the open bathroom with only a curtain dividing it from the bedroom end. The shower has an opaque section but otherwise the bathroom has a large clear window overlooking the street . As we were on the first floor this felt a little too open!! The shower itself is very good though!|There are no coffee making facilities in the room but a really lovely top floor lounge with fantastic views, where you can have lovely free coffee, and some snacks that you can purchase.|Breakfast is to order and very good. We had poached eggs, pane con tomate and avocado on toast, as well as fruit and granola over our two mornings. Excellent gluten free toast (and sour dough toast!) and very lovely oat cappuccinos. My only issue with breakfast was that even b though we were told we could order unlimited amounts from the menu, but in practice this needs to be done at once from the waitress as there was only one, and she was very busy!|s!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Casa Camper! The location is perfect, close to everything we needed and easy to get around. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile.||||The breakfast was very complete, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. Our room was quiet and comfortable, allowing us to relax fully after a day of exploring. We particularly loved staying on the seventh floor – the views and atmosphere were amazing.||||Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area

I mainly chose this location and this hotel by suggestion from a coworker. After reading through the reviews I decided to book and it did not disappoint!!||Location wise you couldn't be anywhere better especially as a first time visitor. It was my first time in Berlin and it was so easy to travel to anywhere. You're right in the heart of shopping, good food, great cafes and it's very safe to walk at night. ||Staff was professional, rooms were spacious and clean, and the top floor where you can pick up snacks/drinks had a beautiful view. Wifi was fast too. ||The only shout is there's construction happening at the end of the road where the hotel is located so for any Uber or taxi pickup, just be wary they can only stop up until the construction. Not a major inconvenience at all as it's less than several feet away but just a heads up. I wouldn't let it get in the way of booking!

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. However, they only offered one type of pillow, which was quite uncomfortable, and the bed was just okay—not particularly comfortable. On the bright side, the room was spacious, and the shower was fantastic.

I visited Casa Camper Berlin back in the pre-Covid days and was excited to be returning. The hotel is in Mitte, so it is a handy location for a number of attractions, including Museum Island and the Television Tower, and there is an underground station nearby so it is easy to get around the city. ||The rooms are very good: spacious and light, with well thought-out features that make good use of the space. The bed was very comfortable. My room had a large bath and one of the best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel. | |However, much to my disappointment the top floor Tentempié is much changed from my previous visit. This used to be where you had breakfast and also (a big selling point) where you could get free snacks and drinks throughout the day. Breakfast is now served in the ground floor cafe and is rather underwhelming, especially compared to the extensive buffet and on-order cooked options that used to be provided. The free snacks are also very minimal, most things now have to be paid for, although there are still free drinks. However, as the room does not have a fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, this doesn’t seem like much of a positive.||The staff were very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay, but didn’t feel that the hotel is very good value. For anyone considering staying here I would recommend getting a room only as the breafast isn’t really that good and there are lots of cafes nearby with better options.

The hotel is excellent, very well located and really nice. just a few negative points : the telephon was not working to book the sauna (you have to call the reception before in order to be able to go there 15 minutes after because for energy saving reasons they don't keep it working during the day). Not very practical when you have to go first from your room to the recetption to ask it. then, the breakfast is quiet good but if you order only one (25 euros) instead of two if you are two seated at the table, you'll have to pay for two breakfast even if you share it. I did not do save to save money but because we did not want to eat too much ! Not very fair at all... For the rest, that was OK, nice hotel...

Yelp
On my travels around this planet I have had chance to stay in some wicked hotels. From a super cool motel in San Francisco,to a stupidly posh hotel in London complete with Lambo and Mclaren Merc parked outside and a porn inspired room in a hotel in Amsterdam (Yep,porn),and more. But none of them compare to Casa Camper, that isn't to do any of the others down, they were all good in their own right, but for sheer enjoyment Camper wins hands down. The staff were all awesome. The room was awesome. The shower was awesome. The bed was awesome. The honour bar is an awesome idea. The breakfast was awesome. The location is awesome (Near to The Absinthe Depot and round the corner from one of the nicest kebabs (or kebap) that i've ever had). All our fellow guests that we spoke to were awesome. Ange Z is awesome for finding and booking here. Also I'm awesome, just because.... Fair enough,it's not the chespest of places at which to stay, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for,and possibly more at Casa Camper. The next time i'm going to visit this great City then Casa Camper will certainly be my go to Hotel,it really is that good!!

Yelp
One of the other reviewers said it perfectly - staying at Casa Camper is like staying at the quiet home of an old friend with impeccable taste, great wealth, and an open well-stocked kitchen. It was hard to go home again after staying a few days in this friendly, comfortable, modern, quirky, and completely supportive boutique hotel. It manages to be ultra-modern without being pretentious or cold, a nice trick. The rooms are perfectly sized - not overwhelming but not cramped, stocked with robes and slippers and wonderful toiletries, and the rain shower is awesome. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, also a free business center with 2 computers and a printer, and the breakfast area is well supplied with free newspapers, fruit, snacks, bread, a coffee machine, and non-alcoholic drinks available 7x24. The actual breakfasts (7-11 AM) are cooked to order, and the dining room, lounge, and "Bodega" (a self-service honor bar) have a wonderful view over the city from the 7th floor. It was so pleasant sitting in the comfortable lounge in the evening, catching up on email or reading with a glass of wine from the Bodega. The staff are diverse, young, and exceptionally helpful and congenial. The hotel is located just a few steps around the corner from the Weinmeisterstrasse U8 station. However, for most of the things you might want to see in Berlin Mitte, the U-bahn is not even necessary. There are many good restaurants within a few blocks, and it's just a short walk to the museum island or Unter den Linden, among other attractions. Now that I've been completely spoiled at the Casa Camper I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Berlin.

Yelp
I loved this hotel. It's design-y without being overly pretentious. We stayed in a lovely red room with a beautiful bedroom and a level of friendly yet minimal design that I wish my own home could aspire to. Gluten-free notes: This place is ridiculously gluten-free-friendly. Not only did they have the usual gluten-free staples like eggs, fruit, and yogurt, but they even brought me gluten-free bread and made me gluten-free pancakes. Wow. Dang.

Shannon Z.

Yelp
Nice price, nice location, good food, stylish, good wifi, gluten-free friendly, that great/friendly guy that works in the cafe in the mornings, free amazing breakfasts and snacks around the clock, need I say more? OK it is not a 5 star hotel but for the price it really is amazing. Modern style without being pretentious. The downfall? Weird smell in the bedrooms and halls, one unfriendly chef on certain mornings that did not like gluten-free requests, small rooms.

Yelp
I have mixed thoughts about this hotel. For example, it is clear that a lot of thought went into the design and decoration. The whole hotel has a very cohesive, hip vibe with thoughtful elements throughout the signage, art, and fixtures. Unfortunately, this thoughtfulness did not extend into function. There are a limited number of outlets in the room and they're in odd locations. I expected USB ports by the bed, but there wasn't even a regular outlet. Also, the light switches, while fun, just become irritating after a while. As for the basics, the hotel is in a nice location close to some major sights and transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The shower was great and had lots of light. The room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Wifi was perfect. The best part of the hotel is the "Bodega" where snacks and drinks are available around the clock. We arrived late our first night and it was nice to be able to get some sandwiches and salads without leaving the hotel. The food was fresh and of high quality, and there was a decent variety. This is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast included eggs and pancakes to order, and a buffet of fruit, yogurt, smoothies, breads, meats and cheeses. The variety was sufficient, but not overwhelming. As for service, we had a few hiccups. First, there was a persistent noise in our room during the night that woke us up (room 11). It was a buzzing sound followed by a slamming sound. We mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would look into it, but no one mentioned it again until we checked out when we were told it was a service door. Second, housekeeping mistakenly took a towel that belongs to me. I can't fault them because although the towel was hanging, it was white and mistakes happen - no big deal. When I called and asked for the towel to be returned the next morning, housekeeping brought me a crumpled, damp towel. It had been mixed with the hotel laundry but had not been washed! Housekeeping refused to wash it until I placed a call to the front desk. The issue was handled easily enough, but it shouldn't have been an argument. Lastly, when we were leaving Berlin we left something in the airport lounge. We were boarding our flight, so I emailed Casa Camper asking them to call the lounge for me. I received an email back with a link to contact the airport myself.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! YES! This is literally my dream hotel. I am spoiled for all others now. The Camper is cool, it's clean, it's well-run, and they absolutely throw tons of really nice free amenities at you. Man, I wish more hotels did this. The room is great and very thoughtfully designed, with a giant map of the area hanging in the room (nice touch). The bodega on the 7th floor is fully stocked with water, juice, food, sweets, (booze is for a charge, on an honor system), magazines and newspapers - - anything to set you straight after a long day of travel or sightseeing. It has a beautiful view. There's a gym, there's free wifi in the whole building, the staff are nice, check-in is a breeze, and the shower was great, and there were no hidden charges on my bill upon check-out. Aw man. That just gets me *right there*! (wipes away a tiny tear). Attention other hotels: DO THIS! I don't know about you, but I'd much rather pay a little more out of the gate and get a bunch of free stuff than get a discount rate at a hotel and then have to forage for every little scrap of food or sip of water, and I just haaaaaaaate paying for wifi. I'm also working while I'm on the road and this is really well set up for folks who are working. I almost don't want to post this because I don't want them to get all permanently booked up, but, I have to do my part for my fellow traveler and tell you that the Camper is totally awesome. You'll danke me later!

Yelp
I love this hotel. The rooms are full of techno surprises to make you comfortable, and the 7th floor lounge with free 24 hour food and drinks is by far the most welcoming thing I've seen in my travels. I've greeted three consecutive sunrises on the 7th floor with a cold carrot orange smoothie and some chicken and raisin cous cous. But enough about the cous cous. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is great and there's cous cous.

Gran D.

Yelp
As far as boutique hotels, top notch. The welcome desk is helpful and always sweet and happy. The rooms are designed well and well-integrated with its practicality (unlike Paris which can be design cool but may not have an outlet in the bathroom?). The bed is nice and full. Love the 7th floor where breakfast is available - not just continental either - eggs and bacon... and there is a bar with honor code where you just have a beer and fill out a form. Drinks and snacks are available all day and all night. Ventilation could be better in the rooms. Can't open the windows, so we had to pry the door open. Free Wi-fi and not a hassle ever like in London or Paris, which is a daily pain. Rented a bike. Locked it up against the fence across the street and discovered it gone. Turned out the company that the hotel sub-rented from, took the bike and I had to wait a few hours before I knew if it was actually stolen. Stressful and weird that the bike could just be taken. Imagine renting a car, parking it and finding it gone because the company just decided to drive it away. Oy. I love Casa Camper.

Yelp
Staying at this hotel was like staying at the home of a wealthy friend-of-a-friend who has impeccable taste and hospitality. The rooms are not fussy and are thoughtfully appointed. The shower is heaven on earth. You'll find free, fast wifi throughout the hotel. The upstairs lounge is a delight; comfortable and generally quiet, you'll find coffee, loose-leaf tea, and soda as well as tasty light snacks (including prepared salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and dessert) there all day long. The breakfast is ample and includes items cooked to order if you like. It is all included in your room (except for alcohol) with no strings attached and no disapproving glances from the attentive staff. The clientele is a comfortable mix of nationalities and ages, and the hotel is English friendly. Steps from a u-bahn stop, and walking distance from museum island and a number of historic sites, the hotel is ideally situated. The surrounding neighborhood abounds in fashionable shopping and dining. Prenzlauer Berg is within walking distance, and most everything else is accessible by u-bahn or s-bahn. The hotel restaurant is supposed to be one of the top places to eat in Berlin, but we didn't get to try it (it is closed Sunday and Monday).

Laura K.

Yelp
Very nice hotel with great options and comfortable bedding. It really is in a great location and the service has been wonderful. Only giving four stars as it still feels that we are paying more than for what's offered, but I do recommend if you're visiting Berlin. Can't say the fee for food necessarily makes up for the additional cost (+40€/night pp), but it's a nice perk.

D V.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Berlin. Great room and friendly staff. Breakfast in the morning is out of sight. The 7th floor lounge is so nice to relax and have a snack or drink. I will certainly be back

Wim D.

Yelp
Great hotel! Staying here for the third time now, we love it! Great location, nice rooms, good bed and the bodega on the 7th floor with 24h free food & drinks!

Megan C.

Yelp
I really liked this hotel. I arrived late in the evening and the desk attendant was thoughtful, fast and suggested I go to the sauna to get rid of my travel stress! I did and it was really pleasant. There's a small gym, a shower and sauna downstairs. The bed was really comfortable, shower was a rainfall and had great water pressure and the room was much bigger than most double occupancy rooms in Europe. The breakfast was the best part -- eggs made to order, fresh fruit and a beautiful view of the city. Would definitely stay here again -- and it's a half block from the U Bahn.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Hard to believe, but yes indeed this is one of two hotels by the famous footwear brand Camper. Their other property is in Barcelona. I agree with one reviewer who said the room has everything you need and nothing you don't. It was somewhat sparse but spacious. The "rain" shower head was a nice treat. The hotel itself has a cute small lobby and a sense of humor in its signage throughout. I'm burying the lead though - the seventh floor 24-hour FREE restaurant was amazing. Not just snacks, but a fairly full free breakfast in the morning including eggs made to order. White linen tablecloths, excellent tea selection, a quality coffee maker, and more. Huge picture window overlooking the roof tops towards the north. Oh also, the hotel is in Mitte - perfect location, very cool area. No reason to stay any where else!

Francesco S.

Yelp
This hotel is simply gorgeous, unique rooms with settings that will surprise you, free wireless and 24 h access to top of the line lounge. Perfect for business as well as a romantic getaway. Super recommended. This is an hotel with character if you are tired of hotel in Rome that look like hotel in NYC this is the place to go

Ange Z.

Yelp
Oh my word! This is a perfect hotel. Stylish without the pretension, cool without the overdone hipster vibe, modern and minimalist without being cold and sterile, upmarket without being stuffy and entirely warm, genuine, welcoming and easy. The staff are predominately young, efficient (well it is Germany), helpful and friendly, the service was impeccable and I have not a single bad word to say about what has now become my all time favourite hotel (and city!). We were shown to our room and given a tour and explanation about how everything worked then we were left to play. We had a docking station, outside blinds for privacy, key cards on lanyards (awesome idea), robes, slippers, huge tv, a safe and an array of toiletries that were way beyond the usual hotel fare. There were big dispensers of liquid soap, body cream, hand cream, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel that all smelled fantastic and were all made with lovely ingredients such as green tea and aloe. There were mirrors that you could adjust to the light, a proper hairdryer, a magnifying mirror, tissues, comfy chairs with footstools and the biggest pillows I have ever seen! The designers had really thought of everything and had worked it all out simply and effectively with a quirky touch. We even had some stylish and interesting magazines and a plate of chocolate brownies and fruit iced with a happy birthday! Upstairs on the 7th floor is the lounge/dining room/bodega bar/food and drink buffet. With a rooftop view of Berlin from the glazed wall and comfy leather chairs with reading lamps and chess boards, you could settle in for the long haul. We partook in the array of goodies laid out, olives, crisps and peanut m&ms, fruit, yogurts, cakes, salads and sandwiches, soft drinks, tea, coffee, bread, pastries and nuts, all free to guests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The bodega operates an honour system and the choices are many. Beer, wine, champagne and spirits, with cocktail shakers and other equipment, fresh lemon and limes to slice and even a cocktail book to browse suggestions. Totally without surly staff hovering over you looking disapproving as you pour a generous measure of bourbon into your glass. On top of the perfection within the hotel, Casa Camper is ideally situated nearby shops, and a marketplace, a short few steps to a U-bahn station, and a quick wander to Alexanderplatz. It's also just down the road from the Absinthe Depot, Adebar and the best doner kebap I've had in a long time! If you're feeling (extremely) flush, you could also go for a meal in the acclaimed Japanese restaurant attached, which has an unbelievably mouth watering menu but is eyewateringly expensive! I will return to Berlin, and I will return to Casa Camper every time...there's one in Barcelona too...hint hint Mr Z!

Branden B.

Yelp
Has everything you need and nothing you don't. Don't usually use hotels but I'm treating myself for 2 days and for the price, you are getting more then what you pay for. Very impressed!! Open bar on top floor. Mix your own drink but make a note of it ala honor system. Can't quite explain why but I felt right at home there. Look no further if you're looking for a place.

Reesie R.

Yelp
Yes, yes, I love Casa Camper. I thank Yelp and Tripadvisor for their assistance in finding this gem! Not only is it situated in the jewish quarters of Berlin, but it right next to two main subway lines and easy access to all that Berlin has to offer. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are larger and well appointed. You even get Casa Camper slippers for use in your room. There is a modest gym. The top floor hosts a WONDERFUL dinning area. It's beautiful and bright and has delicious food AND drinks 24/7. I enjoyed my daily treats upon waking and arriving to the hotel each day. It's absolutely charming!!! So very glad I stayed here!

Greg G.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms, fantastic shower, and the seventh floor, combine all of this and you get my favorite hotel in all of Europe. I had purchased my wife a bouquet of roses for her birthday a day before but didn't have a vase to put hem in. No worries, the hotel noticed and voila next time we returned to our room they were situated in a nice red vase that matched the room. Shower is great and light years ahead of any other shower I have used in Europe, think American walk in shower. No stupid half glass partition and huge step up that combines slippery wet floor with gravity here. Just a nicely sized inviting shower. Twice we asked the front desk for restaurant recommendations and twice we ended up eating at absolute jewels. Now the 7th floor, located here is a 24 hour snack lounge with an honesty bar. Fantastic concept that turns the hotel into a home away from home. Everything but alcohol is included in the room price and the view from the floor is wonderful. Thanks Casa Camper for the experience, I can't wait to come back!

Danni H.

Yelp
I have just left the Casa Camper in Berlin and can honestly say I am still shocked at what has happened. We arrived here December 30th as a little trip away as a treat as we had just got engaged and were really disappointed when from 7am the next day you could hear every footstep and conversation in the room above you and in the corridor outside. We were really looking forward to having a little bit of a lie-in after a busy Christmas and at €300 a night (!!) I would certainly expect at least that. We waited a good hour hoping the noise would die down - there was an odd sound happening every 30 seconds and was enough to stop us from going back to sleep. Later turned out this was the lift - which we weren't too close to on the corridor but still this noise was incredibly annoying and enough to stop you from relaxing. I went down to Reception to explain and spoke with the hotel manager Jasmin, who seemed very surprised and clearly didnt believe my comments as all she kept saying was "well nobody has complained about this before". Terrible attitude for a hotel manager. She offered to put me in another room which was opposite the lift! So of course I said no as the noise would only have been worse. She and her colleague came to the room so I could show her the noise and both their attitude was "it's the elevator there's nothing we can do about it". When I said the walls were so thin you could hear footsteps all the time again their attitude was "people are going to move around what do you want us to do". The hotel manager said she would discount the room rate which I would say is the least that should happen given the very high rate they were charging for what had a feel of a hostel rather than a hotel! Jasmin then also said she would like to offer us some champagne to toast our very recent engagement and said we could go up to the top floor lounge and help ourselves to anything. Later that evening we did go up and instead of taking one of the larger bottles of champagne took two of the mini-bottles (cheap plonk, not top end) so we could have a glass each before heading out for New Year's Eve. This morning we went to check out and I could see no discount had been applied to the rate. Jasmin came out and was clearly not in a good mood. She asked how our New Years Eve was and I said good except the fireworks being set off in the street by hundreds of locals was scary (apparently very common at new year) and she and the receptionist gave me a snide sneer and said "what do you expect it's New Years Eve". I then explained that the discount hadn't yet been applied to the bill to which Jasmin replied "what discount"? Fast forward 10 minutes of this poor excuse of a hotel manager basically telling me I was a liar making up the fact she had ever offered a discount on the room. At one point she actually said "ok maybe I said I would look at discounting the room but never promised anything". She also said that as she had offered us the free champagne that this meant basically her job was done - although she had told us that this was to celebrate our engagement, not to apologise for a noisy room. So a hotel manager who fully understands you have a noisy room and has zero empathy or desire to make sure you have a nice stay? A manager who is basically saying pay €300 a night but don't expect a room with walls thick enough to allow you a decent sleep? Also a manager who looks you in the face and tells lies herself, denying the fact she promised to discount the room rate. What manager doesn't offer a discount as default when they know the room you are staying in hasn't delivered anywhere near what it should! Especially when you're recently engaged and want an even more special stay. All enough to make me never want to go anywhere near this place again. She made it crystal clear no discount would be applied and so I paid the full bill as I just wanted to get out of the place to be quite honest. The look Jasmin gave me as I walked out of the hotel was shocking - her attitude was honestly appalling. The rudest hotel manager I have ever come across. Apparently she has no boss to report into, she manages the hotel and that's that - so quite clearly there is no-one to see what a bad job she is doing. Not only did she ruin our engagement trip - she also ruined our New Years Day. Not how I wanted to start my New year at all and I only wish I had never stepped foot in this place. This "hotel" actually has the audacity to market itself as high-end (which is a joke). However with a hotel manager who fully accepts that the room you're staying in is that noisy you can't sleep and whose attitude is "it's normal to have noise what do you want me to do about it" makes this place no more than a youth hostel with a lick of paint. Do not go here people - plenty of lovely places in Berlin where you can spend you
