"In a town like Lech, it’s all about the owner-operated hotels, and the luxurious Hotel Arlberg has been in the Schneider family for generations. It has everything you’d expect from a classic Alpine property — a cozy Stube restaurant for fondue and raclette, a half-board rate that includes breakfast and dinner, and a fantastic spa and wellness area — but it also comes with an outdoor pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, suites with large soaking tubs, and Schneider family members walking around and engaging with the guests." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"What was once an impressive farmhouse in Austria’s lovely Lech Valley has been run for the past 80 years by the same family as a luxe yet unpretentious resort that draws a discerning clientele—including the Dutch royal family. A renovation several years ago added a much-needed spa(which features a sauna, steam bath, and a heated outdoor pool with panoramic views of the mountains)and46 new rooms in a separate building(most of which are larger suites intended to comfortably accommodate families). While rooms are thoroughly modernized—some even feature steam showers—the decorenvelops guests in Old World charm, with detailsranging from old Austrian stovesto elegantly carved wooden furniture and hand-painted antiques. As of 2017, the hotel has a new chef, who serves creative, modern cuisine in the Jägerstube, the formal dining room that was recently updated to include floor-to-ceiling windows for better light and views. The Kutscherstube, a warm, cozy room with a large, ceramic Austrian stove, offers more traditional Austrian fare, such as boiled ibex sausage and venison ragout."

Excellent hotel, picturesque location. You can walk out the door and hike or ski depending on the season. Staff made the stay even more perfect. Room was very comfortable and a good mix of modern and rustic.

From the moment you arrive until the time you leave, you’re treated like one of their most valued guests. Every member of the team — from the front desk to the bartenders, restaurant servers, and housekeeping staff — is incredibly warm and welcoming.||The hotel is immaculate, the rooms are fantastic, and the spa is absolutely amazing.||This was my second stay, but my friends have been coming here for 30 to 50 years, returning year after year — and now I understand why. I will definitely be coming back as well!

Arlberg hotel is like going skiing in your own chalet, but in the setting of a hotel. Family owned and run, staff and owners make sure to know who their guests are, making the visit feel personal. The hotel is very elegantly decorated in a traditional style that has been upgraded for modern times. The Clubhouse across the street is the new generation’s project which adds glamor to the property. Location is central, steps from the ski lifts and shops. The mountains are beautiful and the skiing extensive. Ski shop connected to hotel as well. I highly recommend.

A return trip to this fantastic family-run hotel in the beautiful town of Lech for February half-term skiing (peak season). As a family with two teenagers, the familiarity here from our last visit of 3(?) years ago meant we were looking forward to coming back. From the initial booking process to our departure from Innsbruck, they made everything easy and the service was, as before, top quality. The staff were equally as warm and professional as we remembered without exception. One of our teenagers had some specific medical needs (from before we travelled) while we were there and the hotel could not have been more helpful connecting us with a local surgery and helping us get regular appointments during our stay. Great rooms, great location, fantastic food all executed professionally with a warm, family feel. A place we would all be very happy to return to any time of year and we hope to again soon.

As ever, the hotel offered fabulous levels of comfort. There are a lot of new and young staff - it will be good if the hotel can retain these and so build up the cadre of longstanding and outstanding staff that it used to have and which is important for the hotel to maintain its traditions. ||The bedrooms are beautifully equipped and the excellent and charming staff keep them in perfect condition. ||The restaurant is excellent, also with friendly and helpful staff, who will always find an alternative if the daily menu doesn’t completely appeal. And the salad bar is to die for! The concierge desk is also extremely helpful. ||The pool and relaxing areas are very special.||A couple of suggestions tho. ||The stubl is less fun and gemutlich and, frankly, special than a few years ago under the famous Willi. It feels more clinical and the magnificent display of obstlers is missed. As a member of staff commented, not all change is good. ||But the most fundamental criticism is of the bar. Not of the staff, who are very good, or of the drinks offered, which are also very good. But frankly in the evenings it sometimes feels less like the bar of a very sophisticated hotel and more like a burger bar. Ordering a pre dinner cocktail when the next table are hoovering down plates of food and fries is not very enjoyable. The plan used to be that by the evening the hotel was an adult space. There used to be a pianist sometimes, and weekly welcome cocktails from the owners. Since the hotel is half board, I don’t see why they need to provide full bar meals in the evenings, which makes the bar area feel like another down market restaurant - and smelling of food. If the hotel thinks they need an evening burger bar, please site it elsewhere! Incidentally, we were only rarely offered so much as a crisp with our drinks. Italians would never drink without at least a small “nibble” of something - although not a burger and fries! Obviously in the daytime it is fine as it is. ||

We had dinner with friends in their restaurant.||It’s very cosy, the food and service were excellent but it’s at the pricey end of the scale in a pricey place. ||We were in their Stuber which was wood panelled and rather nice.||The bar is quite big, people were eating there and it’s quite pleasant but quite dark -no windows. ||I don’t think we’d want to stay there but as a posh dinner out it was great.

We had a wonderful time during our week-long stay at Hotel Arlberg Lech. The service was excellent, as were the facilities, and the staff warm and friendly. It made a particularly strong impression when the owner came out to meet us upon our arrival at the hotel.
